Located in the Willamette Valley, where route 240 and 47 meet is the small town of Yamhill. just 3 miles out of town there is a 66 acre farm with forest covered hills, rolling hay fields and a small seasonal creek.
We welcome you to come enjoy some peaceful rest on our farm.
We have 2 camp sites available and more coming soon nestled in the trees across the open hay field where you can watch wildlife.
each site has access to the composting toilet, has their own picnic table, fire ring, access to water, and some extras like hay that can be used for under tents, kindling to help start your fire, a fire extinguisher, access to a propane fire ring during fire danger season, and a few yard games. we do have fire wood available to purchase as well as farm fresh eggs.
the camp sites are seasonal and most will be closed for the wet winter months. they will be open from June to September, depending on the weather we may need to adjust the access to the sites. at times they may be walk in only (about 200ft walk) or four wheel drive access only as they are in a low area of the farm and do not wish anyone to get stuck. if access has been changed I will notify you as soon as I can with an update.
you are welcome to walk around during your stay, pick some blackberries, apples or plums but please be aware and careful as we do have some poison oak on the property. I encourage you to stay on a path.
please message me if you would like a tour of the farm we have a horse boarding stable, rabbits, chickens and goats ( for your safety please do not enter any barns or pastures without permission , preferable accompanied)
you can see and hear some of the animals but most are far enough away that they are not disturbing.

Southwest Community Park, 41.9 acres, an undeveloped nature park in the Southwest Gresham Neighborhood (East Portland).
The Park is partially wooded and slopes east towards 19 acres of Fairview Creek Headwaters. Views include Grant and Jenne Buttes and Mt. St. Helens.
The Park contains a large Western Red Cedar/Mixed Tree Grove and a Douglas Fir Grove, both of which are identified on the City’s significant tree list.
The Park provides valuable wildlife and fish habitat, and will be preserved, protected and enhanced as part of the City’s conservation effort.

This is a great neighborhood spot to park with full amenities just outside of Portland, while having immediate access to 40 wooded acres with walking path and .7 mi to the Springwater Trail for biking/running. 25 mins to downtown Portland; Easy day trips that are ~30 minutes drive to Waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge (Bridal Veil, Multnomah Falls) or under an hour to Mt. Hood for time in the snow!
Fenced in backyard for any of your 4-legged friends to stretch. Gas fire pit, gas grill and patio table + lounge chairs are all open for sharing. Our previous homeowner had a trailer and set up this nice pad with built in hookups. We have grandparents with a 27' RV that come visit a few weekends a year, but we would love to share this corner of the woods with others looking for an accessible home base to access Portland/Mt. Hood/Gorge +.
Note: Our driveway entry is steep, but navigable. We limit the trailer/RV length to 27' in order to avoid bottoming out. Novice trailer drivers may want to avoid.
For quick bearings if you are booking while on the road, we are located just off 26 (Powell), 5 miles from I-205 or 11 miles from I-5 via the Ross Island Bridge. If you are traveling along I-84, we are 4 miles south from the exit.

I would categorize this as a great passing through spot. It is private, easy to find, easy to park, the host was available for communication and had very clear communication. Key points would be: peaceful area, surrounded by trees, quiet, private, clean, well cared for. I felt very safe and comfortable sleeping here.

Great communication and friendly host. Site was exactly what I needed for a quick solo tent camping overnight retreat.
It's a fairly intimate location that's closer to the owners' artist studio(?) building than I'd thought from the photos and is one of several residential properties nearby. They are right off a road that does have occasional traffic, so you will hear sounds of civilization from time to time, but mostly very quiet and feels private.
Easy to access though and the wooded area adjacent to the camping/RV spot provides a good little bit of forest immersion with a few walking trails that will allow you take a chair and read a book within the trees. Nice star visibility at night as it gets plenty dark.
Would definitely recommend for those looking for a quick and easy outdoor getaway!

We had a 25 ft TT that we pulled in with (and then backed truck out) due to hot afternoon sun when we backed in. It was great shade and nice to be among the trees. Lots of rural neighbors with some annoyances but overall happy there. We took the trailer to Elks in Forest Grove - free dumping (and donations appreciated). Shawn and Cheryl were kind hosts and we appreciated some eggs and grapes from the property!

It’s only my second night with my minivan/camper. I visited during a heat advisory so I was excited to visit Elkhorn Acres, which offers easy river access. I found the entire experience to be easy, fun and relaxing! There were several other groups but there was plenty of distance between sites, offering plenty of privacy. I set up my tent, enjoyed some quiet time by the river, and slept great to the sound of crickets. There’s no cell signal, so it’s really nice to unplug from the world, read, hike, and fully immerse yourself in the relaxing scenery. would definitely stay here again, and look forward to coming back again soon!

Anthony and Gary were great hosts. They were available when needed but also gave us lots of privacy. The grounds are beautiful. It was very peaceful. Other campers were very pleasant and respectful. Port-a-potties were clean and stocked. The river access was really nice. We had a great time and would love to visit again.
