GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. Burke and Shannon are fantastic and friendly hosts, who live in an absolutely stunning location. This area is amazing in its beauty and outdoor activities, and they know some good spots to check out (thanks for the Salmon River trail tip!!). The RV spot was easy to back into, spacious, and had water/power in a convenient location. I will definitely be checking in the future to see if they are available when I’m in the area twice each year!

I drove ten hours to get to this amazing spot and I’m so glad that I did. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Steve has created an absolutely magical paradise along the river, and I can’t wait to go back. There are numerous places to choose from where you can park and all of the views are spectacular. There are seating areas up above the river where you can make breakfast and relax or you can take a short walk (a few stairs) down to the river and enjoy numerous seating areas down there. The sound of the river is so therapeutic. You just get lost in it. There’s a fire pit where you can relax and plenty of space to set up your stuff. It was raining while I was there and host Steve was fine with me setting up a pop-up over the fire pit to keep it dry and create a space outside to relax even in the rain. Speaking of Steve, he is wonderful. The perfect host. He checked in and let me know he was available but also gave plenty of privacy. I needed to borrow a tarp and he helped immediately. He’s knowledgeable of the area and super easy going. The area has so many things to see and do. I went to numerous waterfalls and on so many beautiful hikes. Sisters, Oregon is only an hour away and such a cute spot to go grab coffee and lunch. The coffee shop a mile down the road makes THE BEST lattes and has a cute little gift shop attached. I really can’t express enough how perfect this spot is. Steve has put his whole heart into making a space for people to enjoy.

Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo. The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra. Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!
