Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie and Chris the Hosts. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. The road to get there is two and a half miles up the mountain, the first mile is paved and the other mile and a half is gravel. French Hill Trail is a few more miles up the mountain road. The campsites have picnic tables and fire rings, and campers are provided with 5 gallons of potable water. An outdoor, COLD-water Artesian shower, out in the open mountain air with the wild things and an outhouse with a compost toilet are also provided. Bundles of firewood are available for an extra charge when you book your campsite. The campsites are set within a deciduous and pine forest at about 1913 feet in elevation. There is a pond on the property, but its purpose is for wildlife habitat ONLY, so water activities are NOT allowed. NO swimming, NO fishing, NO boating, NO trapping, etc. The wild things live here! The property owner has a dog, three cats, and a menagerie of yard birds such as turkeys, peacocks, guinea hens, chickens, ducks, geese, etc. They do make noise! Kirk has lived off-grid for over twenty years and holds a wealth of information about the Gasquet/Del Norte County area. Perhaps the most interesting feature of the property is that it has had documented Sasquatch encounters over the past twenty years that have been published in "Tribal Bigfoot" (D. Paulides 2009). Kirk can tell you about his experiences with this and other phenomena on the property.

In July of 2017 we closed escrow on our second choice, we purchased a neglected 1949 roadside motel and RV park in Bandon, OR. We haven't looked back and each day we pour our hearts out to revive the property. 4 nights at Lower Lake Farm Camp

We loved our time here!!! Carolyn and Jose walked out to greet us with fresh eggs from their chickens. Their beautiful horse, chickens, and funny goats were all tame to be around with the kids. They had full hook ups included septic which was a huge plus. Their neighborhood is adorable with a mile bike ride to the beach and Alexandre Family farms (best chocolate milk). Massive greenhouse with all the veggies to look at. Very safe area too! 15 min from the Jedediah Redwoods Park - we did Grove of the Titans and Boy Scout Trail. Unreal!!!! Highly recommend this stop. We stayed in space #4 and it was lovely.

Interesting little spot. The cows came over to say hi to us one night which made for a great memory! Great location, close to crescent city but far enough away to feel remote. Only complaint is site is right off the road. We tucked our camper back but keep that in mind when booking. Overall it was great spot and I’d come back again if in the area.

Carolyn is an excellent host. She has put a lot of effort in creating a welcoming site. We enjoyed talking to her and learning about the history of her farm. The sites are big with plenty of room between each rig. The hookups are well maintained. The location feels secluded with gentle serenades from the farm animals that surround the area.

Very nice, quiet, private and spacious camp site. Lots of birdsong, views of cows and wake-up call from the rooster. Includes fire-pit with wood, 2 Adirondack chairs, picnic table with oil lamps. Surrounded by trees and shrubs with minimal road noise. Great place to stay when passing through and to allow our medium size dog off leash to explore.

Very clean with lots of options for different types of camping. Plenty of space so you don't feel cramped. Beautiful dog park area with lots of trees & greenery for them to enjoy & even a wash station. Loved the walking trails that give you plenty of nature & solitude if you choose and bonus trail that provides a quick short cut to the beach. Loved sitting on the sand watching the sea lions fish just 30 feet from shore and the beach wasn't crowded at all especially before 11am or after 6pm. Camp host was very accommodating & friendly. There is a rec center with indoor game activities like pool table, however we didn't get a chance to check it out before we left, time just flew by. It's just far enough out of town to give you that much needed camping vibe yet close enough that any urgent store needs aren't to much of a hassle, and well worth a trip to town for breakfast and their near art gallery & gift shop and easy boat launch for all your fishing fun.

Such an quiet and welcoming spot. Everything was like described. Enjoyed scenery, close by lonely beach and quietness. #4 is last in the row and had the hammock right in front the van 😉 J & C warmly welcomed us and made our stay beautiful. No rooster around and for a farm stay a quiet night sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at Carolyn & Jose’s serene farm. They warmly greeted us and gave us fresh eggs and lots of local recs. Lovely property and lots of animals, we love the dogs. Super clean, had electrical hookups and a nice hammock. Very quiet at night, would definitely stay here again!

LOVED this place! Had everything we could have asked for and more! So peaceful, relaxing, private feel, quiet, and great hosts! We met Jose when we got there & Carolyn when we left - she was nice enough to share some farm fresh eggs with us (yum!). Would love to come back here again & highly recommend for a great spot outside of Crescent City while visiting the Redwoods! Pro tip: great dinner at Seaquake Brewery, lunch at Seaside Bakery, and coffee at Java Hut :)

Best farm stay ever. I messaged the host a day before and asked if they could accommodate date an arrival before our reservation. They did. The farm is quaint and in a great location just north of Crescent City. Animals all over the place. They have a caretaker named Dar that is epic human being. Helpful, kind and if you have kids he will keep them entertained with work on the farm if you desire.

Weekend Trip to Honey Bear by the Sea

We had such a blast and look forward to booking again! Honey Bear staff were all super friendly, the grounds were gorgeous, and the amenities were truly impressive. Our family can't wait to come back and bring our bikes and spend more time hiking around the property. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach- that is a huge plus that we haven't been able to experience before.

This is a nice little chill spot to have your rv while in Gold Beach. The parking and patio are right on the mouth of the Rogue River so you can watch birds, seals and fishermen come and go. Even though it's just off Hwy 101 it's far enough off that it's peaceful at night. You can walk to the north jetty and the beach from here

We loved our stay here! It was enough off the beaten path that it was nice and quiet, but so close to the beach, hiking in the redwoods, and kayaking on the lake. The site was great. A flatish area with gravel and grassy space if you have a tent with some adirondacks and a big fire circle. The highland cows and farm fresh eggs were a plus! Would love to come back!
