Note: The use of the sauna, hot tub, and composting toilet are only for Glamp bookings! The campsites and tipi use the port-a-potty and have the use of an on-demand outdoor shower, which is free of charge.
Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, is all in our ample acreage.
Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm.
Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Traffic quiets down after dark and mornings are quite 'chill'.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

The intention behind naming this the Cloud, is in honor of the lands the atmospheric connection to the Sea. The Cloud, is currently in the process of becoming a retreat space and eco village for guests to come experience. While still curating the space, the land is being brought together with a passion for saving trees and their priceless ecological function. The large Spruce trees that cover the land stand with strong branches and are covered with magnificent green needles. These needles collect water vapor from the air, thus offering water droplets onto the ground. This natural process provides a vibrant and lush natural habitat.

In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland.
Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.
Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.

The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land!
With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and lay out a few more sites!

We purchased this slice of paradise in 2003 as a place to relax, recharge, and someday build our dream home. It started as nothing more than a gravel road leading to a small clearing with an old bus and a couple decks. Our children have grown up out here learning a deep respect for nature and the real (non digital) world. Now empty nesters, we live on site. Part of our retirement planning is to spend next several years developing the lower portion of the property (approx. 15 acres) into a campground and retreat for our guests, as well as our own family, friends, and grandchildren.
The campground area (currently) consists of a handful of primitive campsites, and a group area. We are working steadily on improvements, including adding more sites, improving the roadways, and upgrading the common areas. We weren’t aware of the sentience and trauma of the land at first, only our own need for healing, and desire to help others heal in the ways we’d found healing, by creating a sacred space in nature for everyone to use.
As we began this dance of chaos with the land and all things residing in it and around it, we realized the land was as spiritually sick as we were. A microcosm of planet Earth, it has been raped, pillaged and neglected, it’s future never considered, it’s native stewards murdered, all in the name of greed.
After 2 years of profound breakthroughs, mind bending healing ceremonies, confusion, emotional melt downs, everything malfunctioning one after another and questioning our choice to be here, we couldn’t help but feel like we were being sabotaged by something…
We were. She was trying to get our attention, as were all of the negative energies trapped here.
Suddenly an epiphany struck us both, in the thick muck of a terrible physical and energetic rut, we knew we needed to heal the energy that had been left lingering here from all of the traumatic events that happened all around us for hundreds of years. Just like us, trauma was trapped inside her from other people, just like the ancestral trauma we all suffer from on planet Earth.
This is when we realized the land had called us here to help it, and in turn it would help us heal too….and it has.
We now know we are exactly where we are supposed to be.
When you come to this living mountain, speak kindly to her, she hears you, honor the Takilma ancestors who came before us, the plants and the trees the snakes and the bees, because we are all in this together. There is no you or me, there is only us and we. You and I are one being united in our desire for balance and peace on this planet, let’s walk together and support each other on this journey back into the welcoming arms of our own divinity.

we give coordinates for the beginning of our road. We send you coordinates, very detailed directions, troubleshooting tips, and photo maps we made. As long as you successfully used the coordinates easy. There is no service here for the most part, mile marker 4 on the main road gets service if you need it!

Our family camping trip to Teresa and Michael's bell tent was fantastic. Very kind folks with a very special and well maintained property. You know that certain creative, whimsical vibe that is hard to find and impossible to duplicate? This place has it. I would totally recommend, based on breakfast and the sound of the Santiam river alone. You won't regret your visit here. ✨ Several units on the property with shared amenities and common spaces, but everything was still very quiet and private at the same time. I enjoyed the fostered communal energy. Beats the heck out of any crowded campground on Detroit lake! Oh- we loved Gamble the dog the most possibly.

We had an incredible stay at the property, and were quite shocked that we got such a fun camping experience only 40 minutes outside of Portland. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive when we made a small site swap after some rain! We had a whole secluded creek area to ourselves, and the dogs had an absolute blast all day. I will say we got pretty lucky, the adjacent bell tent was not booked that night so we had a lot of privacy. I would recommend booking the two bell tents together with another couple/friend for the very best experience. The amenities (tents, fire pits, furniture, composting toilet) were clean and made camping with our pups so easy. We can’t wait to come back next time we want a nature retreat without driving hours and hours!

1 night at Creekside Retreat At Triangle Lake
We were on a road trip, and found this location by chance. We were only able to stay one night but wish we could have stayed longer! It was the best stay/sleep of our entire trip. The sites were well placed, the glamping tents were beautifully appointed with everything we needed (and the papasan was wonderfulllllll), and we even learned about some local gems from the welcome/sign-in book and our friendly fellow glampers, too. The site host was warm and helpful, and we had a blast hiking and playing in the water nearby. Will definitely be back for future fun!

Beautiful views, plenty of space inside the tent and also outside for us to set up a table. The bed was the comfiest bed, I swear! We were super close to town, but it also felt very private and quiet. Highlighted was the sweet dog who visited us.

This is a beautiful spot. The bathroom makes it such a glamping experience! Plenty of firewood which was greatly appreciated. We had a wonderful time and Dionne was welcoming and made sure we had everything we need.

Lots of great things about this site - loved that it is completely fenced in so our dogs could run around freely, the table with canopy over it for rain, and the fire pit, were great, the compost toilet was not smelly at all. Main negative was that although the teepee looked cute, we couldn’t sleep in it because of the mould, could be fine for someone who has no mould sensitivities but we ended up having to set up the tent we had brought with us on our trip and sleeping there. The canvas tent at the property also had mould issues. Also one thing we didn’t realise from the photos was that the site is right next to a road, although not a very busy one so that was ok. Well equipped with cleaning supplies, I do think the cleaning fee for the site seems a bit high.

Hello, fellow Hipcampers! I strongly recommend this lovely location. Rushing River impressed us with delicous fresh baked breakfast, a river channel with a swing and handmade natural pools, cozy outdoor seating looking over the river, and an easily accessible location next to the highway with little to no highway sound. This space is family-friendly and a real find!

Teresa and her husband's hospitality was fantastic, the property is stunning with the sound of the river running being a joy to the soul! Bell tent was great, easy to pop our things in but our boys still felt the ambience of camping. Having a hot tub to relax in after our long hike was amazing and Teresa's breakfast was superb! Not your average cookie cutter property and the multiple decks to sit, watch and listen to the river was perfection. Truly wish we had another day or two to spend there.

Epic! So beautiful!
We sat on chairs in the creek for hours. Gorgeously decorated yurt and toilets. Brand new outside shower in the dark? Yes, please! Definite highlight of the trip. Super comfy bed and well-stocked campsite. Hammock, Adirondacks, table/chairs, wood….
Steps to the creek down a little path. Dionne is a gem and her property is definitely a passion project. Her excitement shines through when talking with her.

We had a lovely night stargazing by the fire and slept great in the spacious tent. All the amenities you need centered in the beauty of the land and zero waste principles. Had a peaceful morning reading in the hammock but unfortunately found our car battery had died. Carly was quick to help jump it, thank you again!

It was a very nice tent! We had a very late check in (around 10pm) but Sam was very responsive over message and left lights on for us. It was a quick drive into the Cape Arago State Park which had some amazing tide pools in the morning. Also was pretty close to good brunch spots! Overall would definitely recommend!
