Our camp is right off the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway just minutes away from Portland Women's Forum and Crown Point, the Jewel of the Columbia.
Our facilities include an outdoor shower, a solar-powered composting toilet, fresh water, fire pits, and plenty of flat ground surrounded by trees for excellent camping!

Note: The use of the sauna, hot tub, and composting toilet are only for Glamp bookings! The campsites and tipi use the port-a-potty and have the use of an on-demand outdoor shower, which is free of charge.
Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, is all in our ample acreage.
Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm.
Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Traffic quiets down after dark and mornings are quite 'chill'.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland.
Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.
Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.

The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land!
With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and lay out a few more sites!

Weekend Trip to Blue Hour Acres
We loved our stay at Blue Hour Acres! The yurt was comfortable- even on our last night when it was super cold outside. Our favorite part was the sauna and outdoor shower- so invigorating! And... the bathroom was adorable- I loved the old west portraits and the bidet and WARMED seat! It was great for when it was cold outside.
Lisa was super responsive and very hospitable- starting the sauna up for us and getting the hose set up for showers.
It's a great location for being close to town but not IN town. We loved checking the stars out at night.

Just another glowing review to add to the choir here, but it's true - Travis and Sheril's farm was a *dream* to stay at. The bathtub, bathroom, and outdoor shower were the height of glamping luxury even when it was still cold in February. I spent two nights in the creekside yurt with a heater and full mattress bed warmer reading and writing and in the day I'd meet the animals (alpacas!!) and make myself some food with the eggs from their farm. I would absolutely come back again. Also - ask for T's delicious daily-made sourdough bread!

Our stay at the Stargazer was amazing. It was such a unique and peaceful getaway. The place is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and set right in the middle of a wide open field, offering privacy and incredible views in every direction. The setting felt calm and magical, especially at night when the sky filled with stars.
The space was cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the quiet beauty of nature. It’s the ideal spot to unwind, recharge, and enjoy true peace and solitude. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back.

Weekend Trip to Fern Haus
The Stargazer Bell Tent was a lovely little spot! There was a creek that was easy to get to and just adorable. The campsite itself and the tent were nicely cared for and the people nearby at the other campsite weren't much of an issue (except for leaving the outhouse quite messy, causing us to clean up after them). The outhouse was surprisingly very nice, for an outhouse! You can tell a lot of love goes into this whole spot at Fern Haus. The only tiny complaint I have is that all of the furniture pieces (chairs at the table inside the tent, chairs by the firepit, the picnic table itself, and the chairs by the creek) were cheap, flimsy, unstable, and rickety. I did not feel safe sitting in anything supplied at the campsite. I was glad we brought our own camp chairs! But other than that, we had a great time! Comfy bed, too! Thanks for the adventure!

Exactly as described. So quiet and serene. A great place to just chill and enjoy the quiet.
Our neighbors were a stellar jay that was working hard at getting acorns off the oak, a couple of crows that dropped in now and again, and a red tailed hawk that announced her presence.
The provided tent is spacious and in great condition. Electricity available in the tent, so we brought a queen size inflatable mattress that we could inflate/deflate right inside.
Convenient access to water and compost toilet.
I didn’t have an opportunity to shower, but I could see it from the site.
The walk to the pond was nice.

The 'patio' space was really nice for hanging out with the lights on, which also made for a cute path to the bathroom. The bathroom was my favorite part, it was clean, and decorated really cute! The shower was easy to use and was really nice to have close to the tent. We also really appreciated the grill for making dinner! Great stay, highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience!! Handsfull farm is a beautiful property that is so spacious but somehow feels so cozy and wonderful at there same time. my partner and I were planning some things to do around the area but ended up staying our full two days at the farm because there was so much to do. I felt so so welcome by everyone there. it's really clear that they really care about the guest experience.
The glamping spot by the creek is also super private, it feels like you have your own forest to explore. Pictures cannot do it justice! I can't wait to return!!

Rosehip campsite and bathroom facilities were perfectly clean and tidy with beautiful and thoughtful touches throughout. If you’re camping in a rooftop tent, suggest having something to level your vehicle. We ended up sleeping in the comfy yurt equipped with extension cord, fan, and nightlight. Excellent communication and hospitality. Highly recommend. :)

Weekend Trip to Royal Heart Hill
It's incredible that this place is only 15min off of I-5. I have an AWD CRV and I had no issues driving down to the campsite (admittedly it was dry). There is a make shift table I could use for my camp stove and a composting toilet within the site (for #2 only folks). There are bins for trash, recycle, and compost and the rules are very clearly posted above these bins. I had cell service at the site, not that I needed it. The tent was lovely, easy to open and close and cozy inside. My twin air mattress fit very well, a queen size could've easily fit. Being in the middle of the woods was lovely and it was very quiet when I was there. I highly recommend.
