Tucked into a quiet little valley in Southern Oregon, Sweet Medicine Woodlandia is a peaceful 2-acre retreat surrounded by forested hills, country roads, and a beautiful grove of mature Douglas fir trees. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, listen to the birds, and reconnect with nature. The heart of the camping area sits beneath the fir trees, where guests can relax around the firepit, enjoy meals at the picnic table, or explore the surrounding countryside. Bicycles are available for rides along the nearby country roads, and forest land nearby offers opportunities for hiking and exploring. The property is home to two friendly horses, two Lab-mix dogs, and a flock of free-range chickens. Guests may even be treated to fresh eggs when available. The horses are known to appreciate a carrot or apple, making the farm experience especially fun for animal lovers. Camp amenities include the charming outdoor “Wee Loo” restroom, an outdoor solar shower, a hand-washing station, and a converted food vending wagon that now serves as a shared camp kitchen. The property is also approximately 45 minutes from the Oregon coast, making it a peaceful home base for both inland and coastal adventures. Wildlife is part of life here, with elk, coyotes, foxes, and other native animals occasionally passing through the surrounding area. Whether you’re looking to unplug beneath the trees, explore Southern Oregon, or simply enjoy a quiet few days surrounded by animals and nature, Sweet Medicine Woodlandia offers a wonderfully relaxed and down-to-earth place to stay. Our micro grove is the perfect place to take off your shoes and get grounded or hug a tree or just listen to the birds. We have built a cute permanent bathroom called The Wee Loo. Walk across the yard to enjoy a private outdoor solar shower.
