Pack your essentials and escape to the Little Miami River Valley's best kept secret. Our off-grid cabin and tent campsite offers over an acre of space and is situated on a total 14 acres along the National and Scenic Little Miami River. The cabin is included in the site rental, but you are welcome to tent camp only if you prefer. New in 2026, the cabin will include a 6" memory foam camping pad. Additional bedding (pillows/blankets) can be provided as an add-on.
Once here, you'll park next to the farmhouse and take a 4 minute hike over the creek, through the meadow, and into the woods. *Driving to the site is an option if you have 4WD and the ground is not too wet. Exceptions for 2WD can be made if the weather forecast and ground conditions permit.
As you approach the cabin and campsite, the trail opens up to an acre of green space shaded by large Sycamore, Walnut, and other native trees. Take a dip in the river, enjoy people watching as canoeist pass, or take part with a canoe or kayak rental from a nearby business (within 3 miles). The Little Miami Trail is also less than a mile down the road so bring your bike! The composting outhouse is serviced between each stay, meaning it's emptied, sanitized, and like new for each new guest. *Depending on your group size, the host may need to service/empty the outhouse once daily. There are two established campfire locations and a picnic table is provided.
*This is a family residence. The hosts live onsite and although you will not see them from your site, you will likely hear kids/adults playing outside and possibly weekend tasks such as mowing/weed eating/etc. Other "noise pollution" may come from canoeists passing by or the gun/ATV riding club which is a 1/4 mile down the river. That said, overall it remains rather quiet and you should find your stay peaceful : )

We know other special local spots we can let you in on, too. We are just a 1/2 mile from the Little Miami Bike Trail and close to Caesar's Creek, Cowan Lake, YMCA's Camp Kearn, and Camp Joy. Plain Folk Music Cafe, Fresh to Morrow, Valley Vineyards, and Little River Cafe, are also short drives if you want to grab a bite to eat and vibe on some cool, local hangouts. This property is tucked away and you wouldn’t even know you’re close to town once you’re on site. Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.

During inclement weather, a single serve K cup style coffee maker and Microwave are available to start your morning off. Bear Pond does have garbage bags upon request. But we ask you carry your refuse out with you due to the wildlife. Bear Pond is Furry Family Friendly. Just be mindful of possible wildlife if your Furry family members is off leash.
The AC/Heat is supplied by a portable heat pump. So it could take an hour or so to cool or warm Nolas Cabin depending on the Inside ambient temperatures.

We were a group of moms on a long weekend getaway, and Fruitdale Farm couldn’t have been a better choice. This cabin is so full of sunlight and cheer. It’s well-appointed with the things you’ll need, and the private deck overlooking the pond is such a peaceful place to relax and connect. We enjoyed wandering on the trails on the farm and hiking on nearby Arc of Appalachia trails.

Charming, well kept, lots of really nice touches. We camped at Site #1 in a pop-up and we're blessed with a very level area. A picnic table and fire ring were included and in excellent condition. The Koi pond was a relaxing spot a short walk from the hilltop. We walked the groomed nature trail, enjoyed a sauna, and purchased two dozen very nice farm-fresh eggs. I cannot think of a thing missing. Honestly, Fruitdale Farm has it all for a relaxing camp with room to roam.

Had an absolutely beautiful stay here! We only stayed for a night which was not nearly long enough to fully appreciate the tranquility and beauty of the place. David was an amazing host, left firewood at the tent site, offered us beef stew at night and coffee in the morning, and even explained how we could build a better fire with some fire starters he left us. The tent site had enough privacy to still feel fully immersed in nature even with other campers nearby. Lots of birds and butterflies. We will definitely be back and feel like we got a full escape and recharge from the chaos of the world. Best sleep I’ve ever had.

This was a great camping experience that I was craving! I stayed at the campsite right against the river. Very rustic and isolated. I appreciated the firewood that was provided by donation and the sound of the water was very calming! Would definitely stay here again 😊 I met a few folks that were staying at the air-bnb while I was at the campground and they were wonderful people. I can tell this host takes great care of their land and brings in kind and wonderful guests!

We had a great stay overall. The Viking long hall was definitely a standout—such a unique and memorable feature that really sets this place apart.
David and Iveagh were very kind and welcoming, and made it clear they were available if we needed anything. As experienced campers we didn’t need much assistance, but it was appreciated knowing they were there.
The available hot shower and water were a great accommodation and definitely added to the comfort of the stay.
The campsites are not on top of each other, but they aren’t very dispersed either. If you’re looking for a more private, spread-out experience, this may not be the best fit. Regardless, we felt nothing but welcome and accommodated.
Overall, a really cool spot with a lot of character. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others looking for something a little different.

Awesome secluded spots on the creek and awesome owners as well. Close to home and almost feels like a well kept secret. Highly recommended.
