Our farm is an agritourism/sheep farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo, Bed and Breakfast, farm store, and camping area!
We are a working farm during the week but we allow campers to park on weekends or weekdays. The price is the same except the petting zoo and farm store are only open on weekends.
We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it. If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge $10. Each of the 3 sites has a fire ring and picnic table.
A Grill Pavilion is available to rent for $20 extra. See photos. Propane, grill, table and party lights included.
We allow check-ins during the week after 12 noon, perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed during week.
If you are looking for interaction with the animals, or need supplies from the farm store, we open from 10-4 weekends only. You can purchase feed for the animals for $1/bag then. We have sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, turkeys, guinea pigs and geese!
While we are dog-friendly, we do not allow dogs closer to the petting zoo area. We offer a 1+ acre fenced in area next to the camping sites where you can allow your dogs off-leash. No extra charge.
Our camping area is a large grassy field that will accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers, and RVs under 30' with room to turn around, stake your area, and not feel crowded.
There is also 1 regularly maintained porta potty located in this area.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Turn into the driveway and up towards the house. You will enter the camping area through the open double gates on your left. We no longer use the red gate on your right as a camping area.

My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.

The Saxapahaw Country Club is a beautiful 31-acre working farm and event space. Guests are welcome to wander the fields, relax in the hammocks, fish the stocked pond, or enjoy the giant swing suspended from the branches of our 200-year-old white oak tree.

On arrival you'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. To the barn's side is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a wood-fired grill and farm table, with a handwashing station out front. The shared outhouse/composting toilet is next to the pine stand with a white roof.
We have sheep, pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. Take a walk to say hello, but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats.
Pork and lamb from our farm (as well as kiln-dried firewood) is available for purchase at our farm store.

We loved staying in the Rivernest cabin in the treetops! From the deck we had a view of both the Yadkin River below and Pilot Mountain across the valley—truly breathtaking. The bed and soft seating were comfortable, and the kitchenette was well equipped for our long weekend of glamping. We added on a dozen eggs fresh from the onsite henhouse, and they were delicious! We enjoyed walking the many trails and hanging out at the river access on site. And we enjoyed meeting Christine who is a kind and friendly host. We look forward to returning—maybe for blackberry picking season!

We wanted a small getaway to take our puppy on her first camping trip, and to have some one on one time as a couple. Wendy was great at communicating and making sure we were settled in on arrival. She initially was going to meet us at the site to welcome us, but we didn't get in until late due to work. There were issues with the showers following the winter, but she informed us ahead of time and had them ready by the next morning when we were onsite for our first full day. The setup is absolutely adorable and unique. It's a peaceful area with a little trail to walk with your dogs and a creek runs alongside the site. They have plenty of places to relax on the site, including a hammock, swinging bench, and chairs set up further down the site. There is a bathroom (the privy) that is very well kept and clean. There are yard games like darts, horse shoes, and badminton to play. There is also a small campe stove and flattop for cooking, or a grate to throw over the fire. This is the perfect in between spot for those who like to touch it but also want relax!

My daughter and I had a great trip to Jessup’s Mill. We stayed in the Mill Yard and everything was exactly as described. The campground was well maintained, bathrooms were clean and easy to access, and the firewood was readily available. We were able to get away and have a great time just enjoying the outdoors!

Reviews Don’t Lie! We enjoyed our 2 night stay immensely : ) The View oh the View! A nice level spot for vehicle camping. The nice fire pit was large well maintained w plenty of wood to purchase at a reasonable price (we didn’t use it bc of high wind gusts) w a good barrier to keep a fire with a breeze or light winds. The entire camp spot was clean even the poop closet (we have our own bathroom setup so we didn’t use it). The non-potable water and other touches was such a plus and there’s plenty of space to spread out and relax. Very private campground and we felt safe and relaxed during our stay. We got some unexpected rain in the early morning. The grounds dried out very quickly! We enjoyed the night sky and stars, the sunset and rise and the music of the birds and frogs and other living creature around us as we fell asleep and woke up. Great location to enjoy Hanging Rock (we hiked there before checking in) and Pilot Mountain if u so choose. There r also lovely and super convenient local parks to enjoy as well (we visited Horizons Park after checkout). We look fwd to our nxt stay at Rocky Knoll!

Weekend Trip to Marshall Creek Farm
Darin and Beth didn’t miss a thing planning this hilltop cabin. The gravel driveway is steep but we had no issue climbing up to the site in a Ford Transit 250 2wd loaded heavy. Our height clearance is 9’9”. All we can say is it was a super well thought out layout and includes just enough to simply pull up and start camping in minutes. Lots of extras to discover as well. Our dog loved it. We camped at end of March so trees were still bare and the night sky was visible.

We had a great time camping on this property, which is very close to Hanging Rock. Darin and Beth were communicative and very helpful in the time leading up to our stay. The pasture is large and open and quiet, with a fire pit and water spigot and a nearby creek to listen to at night. Even better, we were lucky to have a clear sky for stargazing. Amenities like gas, ice, and groceries are around 15-20 minutes away.

The land is beautiful! The kids loved playing in creek, looking crawfish, salamanders and pretty rocks. We had a farm tore with Natasha and she was wonderful. We were able to pet a cow and rabbits and learn a lot about there animals and farm. We will definitely be back!

We loved tent camping at Creek Front 7! Everyone was very nice and super helpful at check-in. The site has a picnic table and fire pit. We had 2 (4) person tents and still had plenty of space. The bathroom and shower (hottt water) facilities are very clean and nice and close to the site. We were able to fish and actually caught a couple. I will definitely be back!
