Ithaca: Cascadilla Meadow is located just 5 minutes from Cornell University and 10 minutes from all downtown Ithaca has to offer. Ithaca is well known for its many incredible restaurants, Farmers Market, local stores and art, theatre, wineries and breweries and of course, live music. Finger Lakes: In just 10-20 minutes from this location, you will find an abundance of waterfalls including Ithaca Falls, Buttermilk Falls and Taughannock Falls. Cayuga Lake is great for Sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Lake swimming is available at Myers Park in Lansing or Taughannock State Park outside of Trumansburg. Jump off a diving board into the pool at the bottom of Lower Treman Falls or hike upper Treman to Lucifer Falls, possibly the most beautiful short hike you’ll ever find. The area has hundreds of incredible hiking trails to choose from. Plus, Seneca Lake and the Finger Lakes Wine Trail are just a bit farther west! Biking: The roads of the Ellis Hollow area are popular with cyclists, while nearby Yellow Barn Forest, Hammond Hill and Shindagin Hollow are popular spots for mountain biking.  Full disclosure: Cascadilla Meadow’s RV parking is close to a moderately used local road. Tall power lines cut across this lot. We are also located the equivalent of a city block from a natural gas transfer station. About the Property: Our unique property boasts quiet camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. 2025 marked our first year offering camping to the public, and we look forward to HipCampers joining us in our unique venue. All 4 camping sites are nestled into the Obstacle course. Trials riders and non-Trials Riders alike will find much to enjoy here. Campers unfamiliar with Trial are welcome to take advantage of a Lesson on one of our Rental Bikes, while the Obstacle Course is also super-fun on foot (for walks or runs), mountain bike, trials bicycle, or for playing with your RC toy! We have night lighting to turn on at your request, even if just to sit in the evening and enjoy the lights reflecting off the pond-We surely do! We are located on NY 38 but our traffic is not obnoxious (Log and Milk Trucks, Farm Tractors and Commuters). It is very peaceful here. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: Sundays are a practice day or Event day. We host 4 Mototrial Events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating not your thing- no worries. Non-event/non-practice days are quite laidback. If Trials riders come here for additional practice (or instruction) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring Events or Sunday Practice ), it's typically only 2-4 at once. Multiple activities co-exist nicely, as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! My wife and I had a relaxing weekend. The cute little lake kept her busy all weekend catching sunfish and pearch. She even caught a bass, it was on the small side but gave her a nice fight jumping out of the water and doing its best to get away. The WiFi worked great, the bathrooms were very clean, and the grounds were tidy. The only thing that keeps this camp ground from being perfect is the lack of grass on the individual camp sights. Most of the seasonal sites had cute little lawns, but the visitor sights had very little. The owner was wonderful! We could have sat down with both her and her son and chatted the day away, but had to let them get back to work. We will be back, possibly before this summer is over.

I stayed with my pup and had a good night's sleep. Great location for visiting Ithica. Just needed a place to park my camper van for the night. The site is easy to find and access. Thought it is relatively close to the road and in front of the house, off the driveway, it didn't feel like it. Road was quiet after 10 and had no issue with reference to the house location. Got to meet Z and he was very welcoming. It was nice to have the electric access and despite the rainy cold weather we had, it was a nice stay. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Z for having your Hipcamp!

Weekend Trip to Red House Ranch Camp

We had such an amazing time here! My boyfriend, my roommate and her partner, and our dog all came up for the weekend — it was absolutely gorgeous. The site was spacious and private; we couldn’t see anyone else around, which made it feel so peaceful and perfect for a quiet getaway. It did get a bit chilly at night, but that just added to the cozy campfire vibes. Dave and Ike were incredibly hospitable and welcoming — and the fresh eggs were delicious! Would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some beautiful open space.

Ivan had a great little spot for an RV/travel trailer. It’s relatively flat, enough space to comfortably set up and he offers water and electric access. It’s a super short drive to Ithaca. Plus, he’s a really great guy and I enjoyed chatting with him.

The campground only has about a dozen or so spots. It was a pleasant space. It was a good place to stay 20 minutes to Ithaca. Shower could be larger (clean enough). Good price we were left alone and we left satisfied.

We really enjoyed the campsite. The campground staff were friendly and very helpful. It suddenly turned pretty cold during our stay and the campground staff were very helpful with freeze warning notifications. We’d love to return when it’s warmer out! Penny was very good with communication and I would recommend this site!

My boyfriend and I recently converted a shuttle bus into our home on wheels. This was our maiden voyage and it could not have gone any better. Z’s land was the perfect first step for our trip. Easy to find, peaceful, and close by the state parks which was a plus. We stayed here for 2 nights as we explored the area. Wifi was great. Very convenient to have electrical and water hook up. Level spot too. Z was super responsive and an excellent host. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Z!

We had an amazing time! Even with a slight hiccup on arrival, Hosts Ike and David were so sweet and helped us get our meat and egg order before dinner time! We had such a fun time walking around the property, through pastures and woods! Got to meet the cows and pigs, so we will have to be back for the sheep and goats! Thank you Red House Ranch, for an amazing night under the stars!

Weekend Trip to Firefly field

The site was good for its openness so that one had choices as to entry/exit along with orienting the trailer as you pleased. Interesting approach to the shore power, septic, and water hookups. Being in a concrete "box" in the ground added to the flexibility alluded to earlier. Scenery was good, ground was level, area VERY quiet. We look forward to returning!
