We hope you enjoy Pooh's Corner as much as we enjoy having all of you great Hipcampers sharing our beautiful Fingerlakes Region with us.
Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Havana Glen State Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

I walked many lots over the previous several years and this pasture was perfect. This location is a work in progress. The pictures are over a few years and when you get there the hay could be high, it could have just been cut.

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. While here you should visit all the waterfall trails you can! The Watkins Glen Gorge Trail is our favorite! The Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) is walking distance from "The Hollow" and so is a natural spring. There are horseback riding and mixed use trails in the area. Bring or rent a kayak to paddle any of the several large nearby lakes! Plenty of fishing in the area too! There is a modern outhouse with shower, flushing toilet and sink with running water a reasonable walking distance from each site. A portable camp toilet is at your site due to the elevation. Every site has a fire ring and seating. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase and can be onsite prior to arrival if we know ahead of time.
Owned by military veterans who love the outdoors and live on site in off grid cabins. If you are looking for a place to unplug, this is the place for you!

Lodi Point State Park is also 5 miles away with public access to Seneca lake. Lodi Point features a boat launch, nice playgrounds and swimming areas. As we are located in beautiful Fingerlakes, you can also find many other state parks including Sampson, Watkins Glen, Hector and Taughannock, all within a short drive. Taughannock Falls is a must see with its 215 foot plunge waterfalls.

This RV site can fit up to a 28’ vehicle (longer up to 32' can work, but corner backing in is a little tight; contact to discuss before booking). Site is next to stream, bounded on opposite side by local road (so there is local traffic through the trees). There's a 30 amp electric hookup on site, but no sewer hookup. Water can be filled on property if needed. Location is just five minutes to Lower Treman Park or Buttermilk Park, with amazing hiking trails, seasonal stream fishing and swimming. Ten minute drive to Ithaca proper.

What a great spot for a shakedown trip in a new to us pop up camper. Close to many wineries. Beautiful sunsets at night. Firewood right on site. Pad is large and nicely leveled.
Nathan is an awesome host. He stopped down after we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed and was accommodating when we asked to change dates due to an inclement weather forecast so we didn't have to pack up in the pouring rain.

I stayed with my pup and had a good night's sleep. Great location for visiting Ithica. Just needed a place to park my camper van for the night. The site is easy to find and access. Thought it is relatively close to the road and in front of the house, off the driveway, it didn't feel like it. Road was quiet after 10 and had no issue with reference to the house location. Got to meet Z and he was very welcoming. It was nice to have the electric access and despite the rainy cold weather we had, it was a nice stay. Would definitely stay again.

A very nice camp site (#2). This is located down a rural road that is a little rough. The area was quiet. Nathan stopped in after we got set up and talked to us about some local attractions, which, unfortunately, we were not able to visit. There definitely will be a next time. Very easy access to the site with large gravel drives and pads.

We had a great stay at this campsite (3)! It’s a beautiful spot—surrounded by nature and with that classic “real camping” feel, which we really appreciated. This was a great spot!! Nathan and his family were so wonderful. Google sent us to the wrong spot and Nathan was very quick to answer the phone and direct us to the campsite. A wonderful spot on a quiet road that goes right to the lake. Very level site with electric hookups, picnic table and fire pit. Pitcher pump on the property was a bonus. We had the full moon the night we were there and it was amazing. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night and we had a problem with our dogs so we didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked. We will definitely be back.

We had a great experience at Kari's. Kari's directions to the campsite were very helpful to avoid the low underpass and I really appreciated the sign when leaving the campsite as a reminder to avoid it. My camper should have fit with a few inches to spare, but why take the risk if you are provided with an alternate route? We had an easy time setting up due to the site being nearly perfectly level and the hookups being easily accessible. Our site was very clean and well maintained, offered a peaceful, relaxing place to stay and I can't wait to go back and explore more of what Watkin's Glen has to offer.

The campsites are cheap and a respectable far away from other campers. I would definitely recommend if you are doing a small group are a big one

Wonderful place to camp!
The Hosts went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Knowing I had my service dog, Winston, they messaged about other dogs Winston might mingle with. This made me very comfortable.

Wonderful Camping !
Before arriving, the hosts made me aware of other dogs who might mingle with my service dog, Winston. As a dog lover, I found this outreach made me very comfortable.
I want to come back and explore this beautiful area of Canada. And I will definitely return to this property!

Even though I love this State park. The campgrounds left much to be desired. The bathrooms were filthy and the campsites were too close in proximity. I could actually deal with those two things if it weren't for the blatantly rude and disrespectful campers. My husband and I now know why so many people choose private campgrounds. If you choose to camp here, please be prepared to do your research to try and find a secluded camp site. A great place to do that is www.campadk.com

The Watkins Glen campsites are nice, clean, and private enough. The Onieda Loop is right near the Watkins Glen Race Car Track, so if you are looking for solitude, make sure to check the schedule beforehand. Both weekends we camped at Watkins Glen we could hear the cars zipping around below. The campsites are dog friendly, however the gorge trail is not. The bathroom and shower facilities are very nice and well maintained.

Definitely one of my favorite campgrounds to visit. The campsites are very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful and the campground itself has the perfect blend of secluded space and accommodations - pool/picnic areas that are within walking distance but definitely not within earshot while on the sites.
The park also offers great hiking to the many waterfalls of Watkins Glen State Park. The trails are all well-marked and easy enough for a casual stroll to take in the amazing sights. Definitely a must visit.
