1 night at Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course

I Trail Run with my partner Buddy- Border Collie. I want to do OCR someday and this place caught my eye. Booked this so that my new girlfriend could see what Buddy and I do all the time- and where she could watch easily. This Obstacle Course is set up with 'points-to-get-gates' for MotoTrial dirt bikes. It was perfect for Trail Running and OCR practice. I ran/climbed the harder white line gates a few loops when we got there. Later Buddy and I walked together with my girlfriend the easier Orange Line gates under the lights. It was a great place for short course training and having a great time with a non-runner. Had the Course to ourselves. Off-Leash for Buddy was primo so he could run(and jump) the course with me. Hilltop camping great view. Eyesite to other sites- but far enough from other sites. Will come again when Mike changes to new Course Section Markers for his next Event. He's offered me my own Scorecard and to devise some parameters for myself. We plan to stay in Barn next time which Laurel showed us. Looks good. Mike apologized that some areas of Course were between mowing rotation. Looked fine to me. Place is well kept. We were invited to have wild black raspberries growing in Section 5. My girlfriend loved that. Hosts are honest, old-school, old-fashioned, courteous people. Available when we had a question- then disappeared for our privacy rest of time. Refreshing. Price so cheap for what's all here. No other place like this around that I know of.

Lauren And Mike were the best of hosts. They met me when I got here, showed me all the possible places I could park, and gave me a packet with information about local things to do and tips and hints about their campsite. They were the best and I would come back here anytime. They have been very communicative and even notified me when part of my set up had blown off center from the wind while I wasn’t here and came out and tied it back down for me. Their pond is teaming with wildlife, which was so cool to see and hear. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🐸

Weekend Trip to Laughing Goat Fiber Farm

Laughing Goat Fiber Farm was incredible! My kiddo and I chose the platform site, which had shade in the afternoon and hundreds of fireflies at night. The hosts were responsive, kind, and helpful. Ithaca proper was only 8-10 minutes away and many waterfalls were even closer than that. The bathrooms were well-kept, even being serviced during our 4 night stay. It is a truly wonderful place!

Weekend Trip to The Green Heron

We loved our single night stay here after visiting the Robert Tremen State Park. We had the furthest site so it was extra quiet and secluded. It was an incredibly simple process too. Once booked, address was sent and we arrived with no trouble finding the site. Craig was also able to accommodate an early check in for us which really helped out. We didn’t have cell service, which we loved but just keep in mind. We will definitely be back!

Nice little property that is very close to all kinds of amenities (downtown 5 minute drive). Matt was very accommodating, even changed out my site for easy accessibility with my truck. Could only stay for one night but was well worth the experience. Will be back if I am up in that area again!

It’s was nice. Stayed at pond site. Nice and quiet. Goats in the background and frogs serenaded me to sleep. Pond was peaceful and cool next to a campfire at night. I didn’t see a single person which I like. Grass was mowed and signs were easy to see and read. Also received a nice email from host before arrival making find site super easy. A little small debris around site. Took me less than 2 min to pick up. Other than that great spot. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

We’ve enjoyed spending a weekend at Rick’s farm. Would recommend staying there to anyone, thanks again for having us!

3 nights at Pooh’s Corner

We camped with our 16' Casita trailer for several nights at Pooh's Korner. Matt and Sheryl are wonderful hosts- they found us a spot that fit our trailer, made sure we were comfortable, and provided lots of information about the area. The sites are very private, and the location is ideal if you want to explore the WG area. We took a tour of the Farm Sanctuary, just down the road. And we loved watching all the fireflies at night! We're planning to return in the fall! P.S.-Get the honey- it's wonderful!

3 nights at Waterfall Creek

We stayed with our three pups on for a 3 night weekend at the waterfall site, which was gorgeous! We all loved the waterfall and how close our site was to it. The host was an excellent and helped us lug our gear down after some pretty heavy rain made things slippery for day one. It was extremely hot the days we stayed however being right next to the running water with tons of shade kept things cool and comfortable. There was an abundance of space between sites so we had no issues with our dogs off leash and basically NO noise: there was another group with a dog, and the owners were very respectful to us/our dogs (I hope they felt the same of us). My pups had the time of their lives here! The outhouse surpassed my expectations, being an outhouse I didn’t expect much but it was clean and well kept and the host provided essentials, spray, disinfectant etc within making it as nice as an outhouse can be. Beautiful sites, much bigger than I expected them to be, breathtaking scenery right on our doorstep, and the sites were well maintained despite the setting being so deep into the wooded area. We will certainly be returning; I would love to book multiple or all the sites for a large group to spend some quality time in the tranquil waterfall forest!

Hillside Haven is a wonderful campground with no frills but everything you do need—electric and water hookups, a dump station, a fire ring, fairly level site, peace and quiet (if you don’t count the bird song 🎵) . We loved it and hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

Waterfall Creek

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :) *PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. Underhill Forest and Farm

We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails. Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. The chicken coop is always bustling and there are plenty of eggs to harvest each day. A morning hike on the trails usually kicks up the deer and wild turkeys and at night the barn owl will sing for you if you listen close. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley! When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help. We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website. As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you. Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night. In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. About the Property: Our unique property boasts quiet camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. 2025 marks our first year offering camping to the public, and we look forward to HipCampers joining us in our unique venue. We have night lighting to turn on at your request, even if just to sit in the evening and enjoy the lights reflecting off the pond-We surely do! We are located on NY 38 but our traffic is low (Log and Milk Trucks, Farm Tractors and Commuters). It is very peaceful here. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. (Canoe available) Pets are always welcome off-leash if you are comfortable. About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud and riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here (just to practice or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or playing on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it is typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. Our property is one mile from Cowanesque Lake, where there is fishing, boating, and swimming. You will enjoy wildlife, on our property and in the surrounding area such as deer, bald eagles, various birds, hoot owls at night, and others. It is also within driving distance from the Finger Lakes and wineries, Watkins Glenn, Corning Glass Museum, Leonard Harrison and Colton Point State Parks, Hills Creek State Park, Mansfield University, Tioga Boar Hunting Reserve, and the adorable town of Wellsboro. There are no lights on our property and is very dark at night. It is best to arrive during daylight, for easier RV hook up. However, due to the darkness, stargazing is spectacular. We have been able to see the Milky Way, at times. There is only one other home visible from the campsites. Enjoy!

A picnic table and campfire ring are on each site, but there are no water or sewage hook ups available. There is no bathroom on site, you must bring your own. Sampson State Park is the nearest dump station. If you’re Looking for a quiet spot to spend a night or two, this is place for you.
