This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Our site includes nearly 120 scenic acres with a seasonal brook, hiking trails, fishing pond, an organic vegetable garden, a labyrinth, and excellent birding opportunities - all overlooking Seneca Lake. We are located half way between historic Geneva, NY and Watkins Glen, NY with the iconic state park and international speedway.
Our site offers a wide range of accommodations including 4 quaint cottages that accommodate 4-6 guests. All with kitchenettes, full private bath, fire ring, picnic table and BBQ grill.
Additionally, we offer a bunkhouse for your large family or youth group, and smaller summer camp cabins that sleep 4 each. A central shower house is a short walk away, with each cabin site having its own porta-potty and handwashing station.
If tent camping is your style, we have several sites off the beaten path that we can recommend for your more secluded camping experience. COMING SOON! We will have 6 RV sites with full hook-ups for those who would like to bring their own rig!
Again, our property features a swimming pool, hiking trails, a small organic garden and activities such as archery, boating and more for guests. Many of these activities require staff to facilitate, so please make your actvity requests well in advance!

The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabin doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator available. We do not have a shower or bathroom but we have an outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire. I highly recommend 4x4 vehicles but I been there in a civic and a mini van.

Close to Ithaca, NY, Cayuga Lake, and Cornell University. Once a snowshoe lodge, then a Boy Scout camp, this rustic cabin retreat property is surrounded by the Robinson Hollow State Forest. The 100 year old cabin sits only a few hundred yards from the Sierra Club section of the Finger Lakes Trail. The area is a peaceful spot for hiking, camping and snowshoeing or cross country skiing (October 1 bow season deer hunting begins, and mid-November to December is NYS gun deer season-which may not be as serene as you'd like).
Note: This summer may be the last with exclusive access to the 150 acres above the cabin. (We sold to the State in 2019, and the state is beginning to plan for a driveway and parking lot giving public access to this new addition to the state forest.
Perfect get-away for humans and their four-legged friends, it's a dog's dream vacation spot. Enjoy a week or weekend, or your vacation in a place where the "noise" is the melodious sounds of nature. It is remote enough to completely break from urban life, yet close enough to Ithaca, NY to enjoy its beauty and attractions. Amenities: outhouse, hand water pump, two-seater outhouse, propane grill, some pots and pans, grill utensils, wood stove, private, gated entrance, pond, trails. Sleeping loft, no bed (you provide mattress/sleeping bag, etc.). There may be candles, toilet paper, bug spray (if left by previous guests).

A wonderful rustic, private, off-grid get-away, perfect for couples, families, and pups who enjoy camping (log cabin with wood furniture available, you may pitch your tent anywhere on the property - leave no trace).
You may see some wildlife throughout the property (including a milk snake that lives in the cabin wall, but is harmless).
It is a quiet, rural, farming area. Once at the cabin there are only two to three houses within a half mile (through the woods), so you will have a private space all your own.
Winter camping is special - cozy wood heated cabin, hundreds of acres for snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or snowmobiling. Plan ahead, we do not plow the driveway in winter; plan to shovel an off-road parking space, and transport your gear up to the cabin (1100'). Wood is provided.

outhouse, wood stove, campfire ring, wood, & propane grill.
Exclusive access for nature hikes, streams, forest, pond, swimming, bird watching, star gazing, etc.
A wheelchair that can navigate grass and some ruts can enter the cabin, but not the outhouse, and the sleeping loft is up stairs (there is room for a cot or mattress on the first floor); the porch is accessible through the cabin.
When you book, you are confirming your understanding of the following: there is no electricity, running water, or std. bed/mattresses. You bring own air mattress, bedding, and gear you will need. All-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
We welcome special events, family reunions, or weddings, if your plans do not require utilities (you may bring a generator or other battery operated items, as needed).
Note for winter guests:
We do not plow the driveway in winter, you need to be ready to shovel an off-road parking spot, and transport gear to cabin (e.g. by sled, snowshoes)
Here's a brief list of the basics to bring: Light source: Lantern propane or battery. Air mattress or cot and whatever bedding you need. Paper products (cups, plates, utensils, toilet paper, etc.) Matches/fire starter (there is wood on-site, and a propane grill for cooking that has a self-starter). Bug spray. Cooler and ice. Lawn chairs.
There are a few tables, several chairs and benches. There are 2 picnic tables (one outside and one inside). The benches can be moved outside if you'd like, just move them back inside before you leave. The propane grill should only be used outside.
There is a hand axe in the cabin to shave kindling, and the wood is already split to be the length for the wood stove, as needed.
Gas: 5 miles away. If you plan to grocery shop when you get to the area, the closest store is at East Hill Plaza in Ithaca, about 9 miles past where the cabin is (I can give you all that info if you like). There is lots to explore/see/do in the Ithaca area if you decide to come down off the hill one of the days. I'll have some brochures and things in the cabin, and can answer questions (aka where is the best ice cream, dinner, etc.).

These are beautiful wooded camping country sites with plant and wild life located just 10 miles from downtown Corning, New York. There is one rustic cabin available for rent, along with a teepee site, and 2 tent sites. We are between the Finger Lakes and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, just 1 mile off highway 99/15. Sites are located less than a 400 yard hike from the parking area, each site having both a picnic table and fire ring. There is an outhouse located within 250 yards from all sites. There is river access one mile from camp. Campers that require help getting to a site, can be driven up the hill via side by side. Every site is connected to state land with over 2,700 acres worth of hiking trails. We have a number of mountain bikes, kayaks, canoes, snow shoes, tents, sleeping bags/mats, etc. available for rent on site. In addition, if guests are interested in classes on site, I am a wilderness and survival expert willing to offer assistance as a guide through the trails, on the river, with setting up camp, etc. Some of my survival classes include fire making, shelter building, edible food foraging, self defense training, and fishing and hunting.

Minglewood Camp is a place we built so people could escape from the hustle of our busy lives and find some peace in nature.
The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. The bathroom functions with simple composting toilet. (Woodchips in a bucket)
The property is situated beside a creek and 90 acres of hardwood forest which campers are welcome to explore.
the cabin is hidden about 3/4 of a mile off the road behind a small mobile home park and is completely secluded and campers will have total privacy.

Excellent spot and my wife and I had a great time for our anniversary trip! The cabin is well kept and maintained, with all the amenities listed in working order. We especially loved the wood stove in the cabin, which kept us warm and worked perfectly. Marie was an excellent host and shouted out some local recommendations. Nearby to all the local attractions, but secluded enough to feel like you're camping. Thanks for having us!

We loved our time at the cabin! The directions were easy to follow and the location was perfect for day outings to Ithaca or the myriad state parks/trails nearby. The spot felt super remote despite being maybe a mile from the road? The water was not potable (as described), but it sure was nice being able to take hot showers from the solar powered water heater. We really unwound and the spot was exactly as described. You will need to bring your own wood in if you are going during the colder weather days. Additionally, though there are 2 lights in the cabin, I would suggest bringing some book lights that you can clip to the underside of the upper bunks so you can have some light if you wanted to read on the lower bunk. Also, multiple power banks if you are wanting to keep anything charged as there are no outlets. Mama Said is maybe a 10 minute drive and perfect for treating yourself to some breakfast, coffee, and a charge up if needed. And if they are open, you HAVE to go to Here for breakfast. It was not only incredibly delicious, but the people working there were the kindest. 🫶 Honesty though, waking up every morning, making our coffee at the cabin, and sipping it on the porch while the dogs romped in the creek was pretty much perfection!

This cabin is perfect, I would like to come back as soon as possible. This is the prettiest cabin I’ve ever stayed in, and the clearest check in directions on hip camp. There are many thoughtful touches that make the place very welcoming and homey. I didn’t use the sauna or the wood burning stove, but they looked beautiful and I’d love to come back and use them next time.

Love my annual trips to Randy and Allison's farm to load up on mountain fresh air, Seneca Lake hospitality, a years supply of goat milk soap (THE BEST) and some maple syrup for the hotcakes. This trip attempted the journey in the 68 Suburban, broken down, rebooked The Cabin in the Woods (Hazel, my dog and I's first time) and was grateful for the forced upgrade. No frills lodging with an insulated cabin, well stocked with the basics, charger power and a toilet at the top of the hill, and enough clear tree coverage down below to run Starlink and work off a solar set-up down below. Easy access to Watkins Glen and the surrounding vineyards and breweries. Be sure to inquire about Goat Yoga and stop by the Farm Store! You'll love your experience at Randy & Allison's - check'em out.

Weekend Trip to Rustic Reins-Off Grid Cabin
The cabin was super cute & the property was lovely. It was a beautiful view from the porch, the pond was so peaceful. Unfortunately we didn’t get to paddle around in the canoe like I had hoped, but it was a nice option to have. There was a jug for water provided for the spigot that was just a short walk away, dishes, utensils, & cooking necessities provided. There were a bunch of games & little puzzles stocked in there as well which was nice. The propane lamps provided a nice ambiance & heated the little space up quite a bit! It was also nice to have so many animals to visit! The few people we saw were very nice & the host, Marie, is very kind & responsive to messages.

Of course the horses greeting us after enjoying a beautiful sunset drive were the opening to a magical spot! We forgot wood (bring some!), but i scavenged and made a small fire. We came on a Tuesday so had the whole forest to ourselves, how i like it! We showered under the waterfall, wet our feet in the creek, and just enjoyed the view upwards, tall trees and night sky.
The cabin was simple, super easy for people used to off-grid, my version of glamoing! Bring your sheets, your food, all of that. Road was easy, place was magical.

This cabin is an excellent home base for anyone looking to enjoy Watkins Glen, Seneca Lake, and more. We had a ton of privacy (just us and the singing frogs, as well as a hummingbird who enjoyed visting the jewelweed). We both enjoyed lounging on the porch with our books and wine as well. I even got to visit with a couple of the horses by the barn where we parked ... I sadly had no snacks to share.

Our third time staying here and love it every time! Randy and Allison are fabulous hosts and we love meeting their animals. The cabin is perfect for our family of four with comfortable bunk beds and a queen, with a little stove and a picnic table outside. The view from the top of the hill is magnificent.
