Enjoy our back lot for a private campsite which borders a prairie preserve. Watch the deer come in the morning and evening and listen to our friendly, happy hens cluck away, not to mention all the beautiful song birds. We are happy to share our golf clubs and balls to hit a few into the field. Our kids love it!
Tree coverage along with an open field. We cut the field to offer a walking trail to the prairie preserve. There is a tree surronded, very private tent site for tenters, but if you have a camper you can find a spot that works best for you! (The tent site is very private and a camper would not fit.)
We are a short 10 min drive to Stillwater but there is so much to do in Somerset! Take a walk around the prairie preserve and kayak down the apple river, but don’t forget the local brewery and boutique shop. There is some great fishing on local lakes in the area as well. We offer a 30 amp electric hook up and our hose for water. We also have a shower tent with a camping porta potty.

Previously a 100 acre century farm, this fertile land was tended to by generations of old time farmers. Their dairy cows pastured in areas which we now graze sheep. The restored quarry provided gravel for the nearby highway restoration and local projects.The property is currently a mix of hay ground, cropland, pasture, forest, and quarry. Twin sisters, Darla and Kayla, and their families live across the road from each other and own the surrounding 140 acres. We have paths all around the property, so feel free to respectfully explore.- You can't see the highway from this site, but you can hear it. It's super handy to be able to hop out of your campsite haven and onto the hwy, but be aware that you will hear vehicles.- There's a Mississippi river boat launch a few miles down the road, so feel free to park your boat at the bottom of the quarry driveway.- The Hay Creek riding trails are 25 minutes away, so contact us if you want to set up a place in the quarry to park your horses and trailer for the night. - We are certified to sell meat straight off of the farm (Twin Folk Farms), so contact us if you want to purchase your meat and have it delivered to your campsite. You can also set up a time to come up to the farm and purchase meat. - The beautiful, historic town of Red Wing is 10 minutes from our farm. Explore our 40 acre property, including You-Pick flowers (July-September), kayak the 466 acre spring-fed pond, walk the paths through the woods, or relax in a hammock as you close your eyes and listen for all the nature sounds.

Cozy lakeside cottage that sleeps two, with level lawn space nearby that will fit two additional tents in your group. You'll see the setting sun from the end of the dock and have access to a paver patio firepit. Your private bath and a shared, comfortable TV room is inside house. Your guest room is a private space. Mystic Lake Casino and Amphitheater, Canterbury Downs, Renaissance Fest, Valley Fair, many other area lakes besides the 600 acre all sports lake that the property is located on are in the immediate area. For location purposes, we are located 3.7 miles of the Prior Lake, MN McDonald's.
The price per night includes up to two campers inside or outside of the room, but up to two additional campers and tents can be added to the reservation for $20 per person/ per night.
A limit of two persons inside of the cottage and four persons total are allowed per reservation.
All persons must be declared ahead of reserving the space and ID’d for insurance purposes. Please note that all persons on the reservation must submit a copy of their valid picture government ID to the host (via platform) prior to arrival (but after booking).

We had the most wonderful stay at this campsite! Four girlfriends spent the weekend here, and it was exactly what we were hoping for—private, peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by nature.
The campsite itself was spacious and sits right on a beautiful pond. It was less than a five-minute walk from where we parked to the actual campsite, which was very easy. We rented kayaks and were able to kayak right on the pond, which was incredibly peaceful and honestly one of the highlights of our stay.
There was so much wildlife to enjoy—deer, toads, frogs, and so many different birds. We even heard owls and a fox at night! It really felt like we were tucked away in our own little piece of nature.
Christine and Kevin were wonderful hosts. They were friendly, easy to communicate with, and responded promptly whenever we had a question or sent a message. They also provided plenty of firewood, which was such a nice convenience. We purchased a dozen eggs and some maple syrup from them as well, and they were perfect for a campfire breakfast!
We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back. If you’re looking for a quiet, private place to relax, enjoy nature, kayak, sit around a campfire, and just unplug for a while, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our weekend here! The Mellow Yellow site was beautiful and surrounded by what felt like a sea of yellow wildflowers. It was incredibly peaceful, private, and exactly the kind of place you go when you want to unplug for a few days.
We spent the weekend watching wildlife, exploring the creek, sitting around the fire, and attempting to catch trout off a bridge just down from the site who apparently had absolutely no interest in anything we brought them. 😂 Even without the fish cooperating, being right by the creek was one of our favorite parts.
It was such a relaxing place to slow down and spend time together as a family. We booked our next stay before leaving. If you love quiet campsites, nature, wildlife, and being away from the usual crowded campground atmosphere, this place is a gem. ❤️🌿🏕️

Peaceful spot not far from st paul or Minneapolis. If the composting toilet is new to you it may be a slight adjustment but it literally doesn't smell bad at all and easy to understand how to use it. Trails are minimal but nice. Overall cool little spot there I enjoyed it and no complaints or problems.

This was a quiet spot in the woods. There was a spot by an out building but there was a loud humming sound coming from the building so i took the spot in the woods away from it. It was kinda hard to back my camper down to the other spot but i managed. Once down there, it was good. This is a relatively primitive site so it was nice that they have an outhouse built on the property.

The wagon for hauling stuff to the cabin was a lifesaver! The only downside was we heard a lot of road noise one evening. (motorcycle ride)

Dan is a great host. My kids and I had so much fun. Such a neat experience to be camping and away from busy camp sites. My kids enjoyed doing some night hiking, loved the spacious tent, and being close to downtown Taylor’s falls. They were on the fence about camping- especially my teens, but by the end wanted to come back.

Our group had a blast camping out. Site 2 has an actual fire pit with a metal boarder and a grate while site one has a more rudimentary fire pit. We had toddlers in the group who loved seeing the horses and goats. The outhouse was a bit smelly but not an unexpected experience. Definitely would recommend this experience to others!
