Our property is near Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and Lake Okeechobee.
If you’re looking for places to visit for the day or services nearby, you can head to Okeechobee, which is only 20 min away. Lake Placid is only 40 min, Vero Beach is only 1 hr, and Melbourne is 1 hr 30 min.
All of the listed locations offer great opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, and beach hangouts. Each of the sites allows for watching the mini livestock, sitting around a communal campfire, hanging out at the watering hole, and having coffee or cocktails on the Mary Celeste!
Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property!
Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy.

Dogs are welcome, Please keep in mind that we are a farm with farm animals that are friendly, but have they own mind. Horses, chicken, ducks, Sheep, cows, most will eat out of your hands, but still they can be pushy, Great peaceful and friendly location to enjoy a weekend.

River Ranch has a direct outlet to the Kissimmee River which is known for some of the best bass fishing in Florida and where many tournaments are held. U.S. Skeet and Shoot World competitions were also held at River Ranch.
Perhaps the best known fact about River Ranch is that it holds the record for the longest operating rodeo in Florida. Many local and national champions perform here on a weekly basis. Our campsites are located inside of the River Ranch Property Owners Association therefore you MUST already be a member in order to book the property or gain access through the front gate. Our entire property is 2.5 acres and the campsites are located on .65 acres across the road. Our site is the location of a future food forest therefore we have planted several fruit trees on both properties which we hope our guests enjoy throughout the year. Each site is just under a quarter acre and can accommodate a trailer or two tents as well as room for a car/truck with an ATV/UTV trailer. The shared common area is home to oak shade trees, a picnic table and burn barrel. For complete access to the entire .65 acres, please reserve both sites.

We are centrally located in the rural area of the Bayshore Community with only a 5-minute drive to I-75, a 20-minute drive to Downtown Fort Myers, and a 20-minute drive to Babcock Ranch.
Being only 5 minutes away from I-75 makes it quick and easy to either drive down south to Bonita Springs to enjoy our local beaches or north to Punta Gorda to explore!
Downtown Fort Myers is about a 20-minute drive and has many local restaurants and shops if you want to go out and about. They typically have events on the weekends like Art Walk and Music Walk!
We are a 20-minute drive from Babcock Ranch which is the first solar-powered town in America. It is a community open to the public that has several walking/biking trails, a beautiful lake for kayaking/fishing, and a small dog park. They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen & Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week!
If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also about 20 minutes from 31 Produce/Cracker Shack Cafe which is a local U-Pick farm that has seasonal fruits/vegetables available, as well as a restaurant, farm animals, and "gem mining"!
With just a 1 to 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive!
There are many other restaurants, parks, and local businesses nearby for you to enjoy if you want to get out and explore the local area!
