Excellent campground experience. Our site was level with plenty of room around the entire RV, and hookups were exactly as advertised — we especially appreciated the hosts courtesy in reference to offering us some money back due to a day in which a few hours of maintenance on the property might have hindered us(mulching the grounds- it was no bother we were out most of the time so we did not accept- the offer was appreciated). We were welcomed with an information packet covering Rv maintenance business contacts info and cost of service i.e., dump, Wi-Fi info, garbage. Especially the local tourist maps and brochures, activities, and restaurants, plus a personalized welcome note/placard at our site, which was a very thoughtful touch. Would definitely stay again. While the surrounding neighborhood coming in is a bit mixed, the campground itself felt well-kept and private it’s only about 6 miles to downtown St. Augustine — very convenient to everything.

We loved our stay at the Happy Hideaway. The owners were very helpful with positioning our camper and friendly. The space is lovely and private, exactly what we needed after a long drive to get there. They provided firewood also which was appreciated. The spot is quite private next to the green workshop. Our dogs barked a lot at the wildlife but we didn’t see anything other than squirrels. If you back in all the way you may want to have a 50-ft electric cable. We hope to come back and stay a while next time!

A perfect spot for us to land after being chased by winter weather all the way from Vermont. Jeff and Wendy are terrific hosts and we are grateful for our time at the Happy Hideaway. The site had plenty of room for our 35' TT with electric and water nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The short drive to Anastasia Island was easy.

We had a great stay at Jeff's place. It was a peaceful spot with plenty of wood for a fire. Jeff was very welcoming and friendly. Even gave us a information packet with things to do and important numbers which was very thoughtful. Next time we are passing through we will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed staying at the happy Hideaway and Jeff was a great host. The solid gravel and shell drive was a great place to park our small RV the very quiet and well appointed slip was private and felt very safe.
We were 5 miles from that Saint Augustine amphitheater.

I was in Saint Augustine for work for several days, and Stephanie’s place was perfect - great communication before I arrived, and I was greeted by her dogs, a donkey, and a chicken on arrival. Plenty of level space behind her home, and you can park closer to the pool and fire pit, or further out by the treeline - shade or sun if you want it for solar charging. It was a very peaceful stay, and I look forward to returning next time I’m in the area.

We had a great time camping at Stephanie’s. Directions were clear and simple, and we had many different spots we could pitch the tent. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the animals and getting to spend some time with them. The turkey was very sweet! Great place for a short staycation, out in nature but not far from stores, restaurants and St. Augustine. Would recommend!

Stephanie and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. They maintained excellent communication prior to and during our stay. Stephanie answered all of our questions and even made some recommendations for local activities and an amazing restaurant. We were so pleased that we booked a few extra days after our initial booking and stayed for almost a week. We bought some eggs from her in various colors. Her animals are beautiful and mostly friendly. We were able to pet the donkeys, dogs and goose. I also got to pet one of the male peacocks who finally strutted for pictures the day before we left. I would definitely book with Stephanie again.

Experiences like what we had at Stephanie's farm is why we love HipCamp. She was a very welcoming and outgoing host, accommodated use graciously and shared information about the site openly. It's a easily accessible, yet private and quiet location. Interacting with all of the farm animals, especially the donkeys (which always gives me a laugh) was real highlight. Can't say enough good about the site and the host.
