We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out. We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!! We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter). - CLOSED FOR THE WINTER We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. The owner was very responsive. Loved the warm shower and bathroom. Very easy access to the freeway. We were just passing through and we would stay there again.

Camping was fine. As described. Access and exit through gate could be difficult for a towed rig ot large RV. Valmont is a busy road and there is little room before entering gate to property.

Byron and Dot were incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts — you can tell they truly enjoy sharing their space. They made me feel right at home and had some great recommendations for local trails and scenic spots that really made my stay even better. The property was peaceful, well-kept, and a perfect base to explore the area. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome place at the end of a fairly rough dirt road. Original lodge with pool table. Dark sky, lots of stars. Definitely going back. Probably stay in in one of the tent “cabins” facing the pond with showers!

I loved tent camping on Olliander’s land! It was quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful and unique home. The drive there and the drive out was a scenic experience through the mountains, which was a great addition. The chickens and rooster may wake you up in the morning, which was a benefit for me! They were cute and pretty friendly, Would highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Apple Valley Camping -RVs and vans

Nestled in a sweet road just outside of town, we still got all the mountain vibes with the convenience of getting quickly to town. Amelia was responsive and friendly. We met her at her tea shop in town and she was personable and helpful. Would stay again next time we are in the area. And the cute wild turkeys roaming the property were bonus!
