Nice stay overall! The site felt private and quiet, even though it was located next to the road, near the post office, and with a house uphill across the stream. It’s down a short driving path with ample space for site selection; we set up facing the stream. Definitely thankful we had bug spray and long sleeves! Also got to watch a rafter of wild turkeys come by. Relatively short drive to RMNP, Estes Park, and other nearby hiking and fishing spots. Like others have said, don’t sleep on the Glen Haven cinnamon rolls!
Great place to stay close to Estes. And in particular close to Lumpy Ridge. Cute little town and nice hike close by. Good tables and chairs avail for dinner.
Great night camping here, we got a reservation here last minute and we were super lucky to get a quick response. The site was right on the creek and it was so nice to let our dog play in it and fish. Lots of places to go shopping and eat at nearby. Nice and quiet area if you are looking for a secluded spot.

Great spot just outside of Estes Park. Worked perfectly for us to go to RMNP and explore the area.
Lovely campsite! Very private and spacious. The sound of running water from the river was so soothing. It was just 30 minutes from RMNP - would highly recommend!
We had a nice stay at their site near Estes Park. The site wasn't very private, close to a road, in direct view of the post office and houses. However, the camping area was nice and convient. It did not have cell service, which I consider a plus. The reason I am writing this review is because of their stance in camp fires. I am new to hip camp and trusted that the hosts had verified if fires were allowed locally by fire ordinances or if they would mark that we need to verify that ourselves. The listing said fires were allowed. However, while there on our second night a local volunteer fire fighter had to ask us to put it out. He was polite and we were apologetic. However, the fire fighter mentioned that this property is owned by someone who doesn't live in the area and that they regularly have problems with fires on the property. I think it is unfair to both the local community a d guest to operate the property in this manner. Fire restrictions are somwthing I take seriously to protect natural beauty and the environment. So I don't feel managing this listing in this manner is appropriate. I hope the local community or Hipcamp address this matter with the host.

Right by a river, and a road but it was not noisy for us in a camper van. Porta potty on site. General store down the road but does not open until 9am in September so we didn’t get to go. Scenic drive leading up to the site. We had no cell service so prepare ahead of time!

Great clean site right by the river. Do note, though, that it is only about 45 feet off of the main road, but it is still private due to foliage and descent.
I loved camping on this site with some friends! We had 10 total people and it was the perfect size for our group. Easy to find and only 15 minutes from Lake Estes. The picnic table, trash receptacle, and port a potty made our load light for our one night of camping. Heidi was responsive and detailed, and has a great spot with the river. As far as noise, we only heard a few cars pass by when in our tents that weren’t a real bother, but the sound of the water was peaceful to fall asleep to. Listen to the cinnamon bun advice! We wanted more than 6 buns so we had to order the day before (definitely do!). We enjoyed being right by town to walk to grab any last minute needs. Next time I would love to dine at the bed & breakfast in town for dinner. Overall, Heidi was a superhost for us!

great communication and spot! we loved waking up to the steady creek and view!
The overall vibe, bubbling creek and proximity to both Rocky Mtn NP and Estes Park were fantastic. We loved our stay and recommend without hesitation for those with campers, as we had. We had no trouble with noise or traffic over a Fri-Mon stay during the very busy July/Aug season. Loved being able to walk to the General Store and the cinnamon rolls are worth the hype.

Heidi is an amazing host and communicated very well with us.
It's a nice location by the river and it's only one site, so you have it all for yourself. The only downside is that it's next to the road, but there doesn't seem to be any traffic at night, so it's pretty quiet and the creek sounds are great.
There's no restroom option at the campsite, but there's porta potties 300 feet down the road next to the general store. That general store also serves coffee and fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning.
Our family had a great time camping here. It was nice to be by the stream. We were in a camper, so the street noise was not an issue. The scenery was great and the host was responsive, friendly and helpful!

Loved that this spot was really close to Estes park. Was a little pricey for the spot based on past places I’ve stayed but did like that we felt safe. They did have a fire pit, trash bin, picnic table, grill and shower tent available, which was nice. Easy to get to but had limited service.

Great easy campsite right on the River! Site can probably fit 3 tents comfortably. It is next to a road but we didn’t really notice much traffic and it was a holiday weekend! We would definitely camp here again.

Great spot next to creek. Had quite the visit from the local elk herd.
I loved camping at Heidi's land! The campsite is quaint and situated on the Big Thompson River, which served as great white noise at night while we slept. There was a good amount of wildlife to see - we saw deer, bunnies and a fox, and caught trout in the river. The town of Glen Haven was super close and we were able to grab any needed supplies with a short walk. The general store had an abundance of treats and goodies, including their renowned cinnamon rolls which were amazing for breakfast. It was also nice to be close to Estes Park as well.
The camp site is 10 feet from a very busy road, it was so noisy most of the time we were there we could barely hear the river. Warning, this camp site is right off a very busy and noisy road. It finally died down about 11pm and we got a little relief, but we're abruptly woken up the next morning by super loud motor cycles passing by every other minute. We didn't sleep good at all, no peace at this camp site. It doesn't feel like camping here, it just feels like your sleeping on the side of the road. The road is so close to the camp site. Cars drive by right next to your head at night while your sleeping. There is NO trash dumpsters within 30 minutes of the camping spot, we had to transport our human waste for 30 mins to a dumpster in the opposite direction of where we were going to hike the next day. There were zero places to put trash within 30 mins of the camp site. There's zero cell phone service and its incredibly over priced for what you get.. your literally just on the side of the road. There's no peace and quiet and it doesn't feel secluded or like your alone. Your also like right in the owners front yard of their house.. we just didn't feel like it was just us.. alot of traffic.. we wouldn't recommend this place.
