Terrific! The spot is 10 minutes from Durango and far enough from the owners home that it felt private. And there are endless acres of forest for the dogs to explore. We had no problem accessing the site in our rwd Ford Transit. Verizon signal was adequate. Tree coverage made starlink useless.

Beautiful spot in the hills above Durango! Directions were clear, site was level, firepit and utilities all as advertised. We drove a 2 WD Ram Class B and had no issues accessing. Will stay here again when we are in Durango next. :)

What a great place to stay! The campsite I stayed at was super private, yet easy walking distance to the (clean and functional) bathrooms, showers, and incredibly well-stocked kitchen area. The views are beautiful, sitting at the base of the Great Sand Dunes National Park. This was a perfect place to stay and very close to Zapata Falls and other great hiking spots. The hostess was super friendly, too. Overall, I highly recommend this beautiful, private and serene Hipcamp.

This was by far the most welcoming campsite I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, Dexter, Bella, and Sarah greeted us with kindness and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Camp Dune is absolutely beautiful, and what really stood out was how much the hosts genuinely cared about our experience. The community bonfire, the warm hospitality, and the unforgettable sunrise and sunset views made this stay one of a kind. DEFINITELY recommend 😊

Very convenient from Durango, and along a great route to Bayfield. Gravel road with switchbacks - fine with a 21' camper van, just take it slow. Wooded lot. Fairly private RV pad, past the house. Friendly resident dogs. Elect and water at site, dump access near house.

The resort was great! Well maintained, clean bathrooms and showers. All the campers were respectful of neighbors and quiet time. Close to hiking and other adventures but close enough to Buena Vista to pop in for a burger and a beer. Well use this campground again.

WOW! We loved camping on this wonderful land. What a magical place. We really had a great experience, and the campfire with s'mores was really great, too. There were some sandboards for rent, which saved us a lot of trouble, too! It was windy when we arrived and we had a bit of advice about how we could make sure our tent was sturdy! Also! WOW! GREAT HOSTS!!!

Located just off the highway north of Buena Vista, the grounds are surprisingly quiet. Hookups and amenities were working and in good shape. Bring a roll of quarters with you if planning on staying long enough to need a shower. The bathrooms are equipped with pay showers-think of quarter-operated car washes as that is how they are. set up. Very dog friendly, there is a good-sized dog run for your pup. A short drive to BV for anything you need or might have forgotten.

Great spot not far from town. Beautiful views! Note that the wifi isn't very strong at the site, if you're planning on working from there. Would definitely stay again!
