The hardest thing about fly fishing in this part of northwestern Montana is keeping your eye on your fly and not the spectacular scenery. •BIGFORK SUMMER PLAYHOUSE The Bigfork Summer Playhouse was founded in 1960 by Dr. Firman ‘Bo’ Brown and his wife Margery Hunter Brown as a place for University of Montana theatre students to perform in the summer. In the early days of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, the company ate group meals, rehearsed, and lived in the same place. There were no facilities to build scenery, nor extra storage of any kind. As a matter of fact, the building didn’t even belong to the Bigfork Summer Playhouse — it was a Community Hall owned by the Masons and the Eastern Star and seated approximately 200 people. The summer group would rent the facility and bring in the stage, risers, and seats for the audience. We’re pleased to say that now the playhouse is a 435-seat air-conditioned theater with great fly space, a spacious lobby that contains a concession area, and wonderfully comfortable continental-style seating for hundreds of guests. Numerous spaces off-site to accommodate production needs including a dormitory facility for the actors; living quarters for the directors, technicians, and musicians; costume shop; scene shop; and rehearsal space. •SPARTAN RACE Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distance and difficulty ranging from 3 miles to marathon distances. They are held in the US and have been franchised to 30 countries including Canada, South Korea, Australia, and several European countries. The series includes the Spartan Sprint, the Spartan Super, the Spartan Beast, and the Spartan Ultra. •WHITEWATER FESTIVAL The Bigfork Whitewater Festival is celebrating 46 years of extreme whitewater action and community-oriented fun! This is the longest-running event in Bigfork and is one that the entire Flathead Valley looks forward to each year. Participants come from around the world to race. Spectators are also a huge part of this festival and come to enjoy the races and other events held in town. •BIGFORK FESTIVAL OF ARTS It was in May of 1978 when the idea of a Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed. As so often happens in Bigfork, it started with a conversation on Electric Ave. between members of the community. The first festival was held on the first weekend in August of 1978. It was a resounding success despite the committee’s inexperience. The feedback from the community was very positive and the group agreed that it should become an annual event. Over the years, the festival has grown steadily to its current size. In 2019, there were more than 140 booths representing a wide variety of arts and crafts by nationally and internationally recognized artists and craftsmen. Festival attendance is estimated to be more than 6,000. •4TH OF JULY PARADE Bigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it’s our country’s birthday, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. Our property is close to town but far enough out that you feel secluded. We have wonderful dark nights with amazing views of stars. There is a fishing access a mile down the road, or you can hike to the river which is approximately 1000 feet to the river. The river isn't a real deep river, a lot of people use it to float on tubes, but it has been known to have some nice fish also. The area always gets afternoon wind gusts that happen daily and don't last long but something you'll want to be aware of. On site we have available for rent 2 tiny houses and 4 Rv hook up spots. Our property also has a yurt, an additional tiny house, a skoolie and a motorhome. If you’re wanting to just get away to a beautiful spot, take a hike along the river, float the river or fish this is your place. It’s beautiful and quiet.

We are adjacent to Hwy 90 and the Montana Rail System. We have a variety of options that should suit just about anyone. We are near Yellowstone National Park as well as Bozeman, MT which offers all types of recreational opportunities e.g. hiking, fishing, climbing, skiing, cycling and running trails. VanGoBoon is the perfect "Pull-in for the Night" as well as week-long stays! Most of our sites are SELF-CONTAINED. We have 4 sites that have electric and water hookups. (20,30,50amp) The lawn area has horseshoes, frisbee golf, and corn toss. We mostly offer dry campsites for overnight stays for vans, tents or RVs . Most sites are on concrete slabs so they are level and the property has grass areas with trees as well. FYI: Great site if you like trains! An important part of Montana’s commerce is transportation by rail so there will be highway and train noise. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to have noise-cancelation devices handy. We had a conference in town and this was a great place to stay. Wyatt was very friendly upon arrival. Set up was easy and spots were nice and level. We didn't spend much time there, mainly to sleep. One downside is the light over the two camp areas is extremely bright and was right over our bedroom area. It was difficult to block out the light. I understand the need for light for safety, but dimming it a bit somehow would be helpful.

Great location close to town. Very well organized, clean site. Quiet, except the train goes by from time to time, but it makes it charmy and romantic. The only negative thing I can find is a lack of internet and phone connection.

Nice little camp site outside of Bozeman. A bit of a struggle to find off the i90 but once you're on the right side you'll find it. Electric and water hook up but no sewage disposal, so be advised. Fairly close to train tracks that can be noise at times.

I like the way they use the land; all of the sites are nestled on the side of the hill and it really contributes to a sense of privacy. I came in pretty late and left fairly early, so I didn’t see anyone who worked there or get a tour, but I found my way around. Concert happening next store was loud enough to make me recommend you avoid this place on event nights if you’re a light sleeper.

Absolutely beautiful campground, amenities and beyond! Yard games, phone charging station, solar shower, and the cleanest port-o-potty I've ever seen! Views, trees and even horses to look at. It was one of the best campgrounds we have visited, would love to go back and highly recommend staying here!

Nice spot. Easy to get to & close to Bozeman. It’s not the quietest spot but they do a great job of informing of this prior to booking. Some intermittent train noise is all, but we turn on a battery powered white noise maker in the background so wasn’t a problem.

This is my 3rd time here and I'll be back. Simple clean facility, nice restroom, Starlink internet, some sites have water and electricity. Watch the horses while relaxing outside. This is not a destination campground with pool and playground, etc. It is a truly a hidden gem!
