We were looking for a quiet, easy getaway from Missoula. Cindy accommodated us without much advance notice, which was nice of her. Very comfortable bedding, nice setup on running water and electricity. No bugs or wildfire smoke. And Thompson Falls a beautiful small town blessedly undiscovered by tourists. Taco stand along river at Eddie’s Cafe outstanding. We’d stay again,

Very quite, gracious hosts. You are at a high point overlooking the agricultural valley and at the foot of the mountains. Lots of wildlife and great sunrise and sunsets.

1 night at Willow Bridge

Sara and Frank are awesome. They made sure everything was ready and the accommodation was just what I needed. Willow trees by the creek are beautiful. I used one of their bikes to get into Kalispell and loved that.

1 night at Triple Bridges Campground

Such a unique stop! Passing by these elaborate cliffs off the highway had me giddy, so to my excitement when I turned off and had a cozy spot for the eve right next to them I was stoked! Parked under an old railroad in ear shot of another in service, as well as the highway. However the location and uniqueness to this site made it tolerable. A short hike down to the river (Sandy Beach) with a few spots to choose from was lovely. Public access so may not be private. Clean porta potty was a nice perk. Also right by a parking area for those that want to explore a bridge over the Clark Fork River by foot- great way to spend the morning with coffee, deer, birds and the sound of the rushing river.

Weekend Trip to A Place of Tranquility

Green Acres, was a pleasure to visit. Cindy was a gracious host. The property is quite and easy access. It is more for dry camping, although we were able to hook up to 110. If you have a generator, it would be a perfect spot. We enjoyed feeding Ben (horse) carrots everyday. He is gentle and knows when you are headed his way. We are learning what we enjoy about Hip Canps, as we just started ours in Sagle Idaho on Lake Pend Orielle. Thanks Cindy

This is the second time that we have been to this HipCamp spot and it is wonderful! It’s a beautiful property with a friendly host. It’s close to hiking, the river and the cute town of Thompson Falls. .

Loved having this serene site all to myself. Well marked. Relaxing sound of the creek and friendly visits from the deer was a nice touch. Cool outhouse, nice and clean too.

The River Ranch is such a comfortable, welcoming campsite with direct access to a gorgeous river, tons of space between sights for privacy and a bonus of lovely animals on site to interact with! The location was ideal for quick trips to so many wonderful communities in the valley. Kevin is a great host and we are excited to head back next year for another stay! Thank you for having us:)

One of my favorite campsites of all time! Beautiful campsite overlooking Flathead Lake. Alan was very easy to communicate and was more than accommodating. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Weekend Trip to Outback Montana RV Park & Campground

Overall a quiet and clean place to stay. Site space/size was good for me though I just camp in my minivan, so I don’t need a lot of room. The ladies bathroom was nice with five toilets and two showers. Showers are $10/day but not timed, so that was nice. The motion lights in the bathroom won’t “see” you in the shower, though, so keep that in mind if you go at night.

The layout of the camping village was communal yet still made for privacy. The half tucked further into the woods offered shade on hotter days. The place had an artsy, woodsy feel to it. Pretty views of the mtns to the east.

Joel is such a nice guy and staying at Hot Springs felt like staying at a friend’s property! Plenty of entertainment and welcoming amenities, updated and clean bathrooms, and gorgeous sunsets made our stay beyond worth it! A great place to stay passing through!!

Beautiful place. Quiet. Very eco-friendly. Close to Glacier NP. The outdoor kitchen with all things needed to cook your own meals. Great hosts and great fellow travelers. Loved it!

Great stop. Hosts were very welcoming. They provided a power pack and made sure the air mattress was full. Linens were clean. Porta potty wasn't too bad.

Also can provide guest stalls and pens for large animals like horses, or mules, fenced in area and I can provide water and shelter but you must bring your own feed for your animals I can also provide fire wood for additional cost or I do have some wood you can cut up for fire wood ATTENTION: please be aware if you bring dogs that you are staying on a farm, there are wild rabbits, chickens and cats that free roam the property, you must keep your dogs contained. Your dog must be kept in a secure place and not be allowed to run around freely unattended or keep them close to your party, if any property damage or animal lose is due to your dog you will incur more fees I also do have a small play structures for kids to play on. This is a private land of fun and peace, so if you want lots of land and space to stretch your legs and bring your toys (off road vehicles) and boats or animals to ride and and stay 5 mins from the lake to swim, 1 hour from the National Park and get away from the crowed camp grounds, this is your place

Blacktail Mountain is next door, Hot Springs, Glacier NP, down the road. There's plenty to do on the lake, in the mountains, or in the towns nearby. Go burn some energy and come back here to ground and re-charge. If you love quaint little towns, you'll love Somers. It offers a post office, café, bar/restaurant, hardware/lumber store, a museum, mansion and a yacht club. Culture, history and beauty here. If you love beaches, the Somers Beach is a great spot with a swimming area and place to launch paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and rafts from. There are spots tucked away next to the shoreline, among the pines, that are super sweet for picnics, or hanging out, whilst the kiddos frolic in the water. The Somers State Park is a part of a Waterfowl Preserve. It's outside of town and pretty secluded. It has a very nice sandy beach and is in a shallow cove. Likewise, it's shallow for a long ways out, so there is no boating traffic here. Perfect for SUP's, kayaker s, kids and dogs. If you love to sail, The North Flathead Yacht Club is a great place to meet locals and hitch a ride on a sailboat For whooping it up! Del's Bar is a great place. Lakeside and Big Fork offer even more, a short drive away. We even have gemstones, a roller coaster and Flathead tours.

The hardest thing about fly fishing in this part of northwestern Montana is keeping your eye on your fly and not the spectacular scenery. •BIGFORK SUMMER PLAYHOUSE The Bigfork Summer Playhouse was founded in 1960 by Dr. Firman ‘Bo’ Brown and his wife Margery Hunter Brown as a place for University of Montana theatre students to perform in the summer. In the early days of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, the company ate group meals, rehearsed, and lived in the same place. There were no facilities to build scenery, nor extra storage of any kind. As a matter of fact, the building didn’t even belong to the Bigfork Summer Playhouse — it was a Community Hall owned by the Masons and the Eastern Star and seated approximately 200 people. The summer group would rent the facility and bring in the stage, risers, and seats for the audience. We’re pleased to say that now the playhouse is a 435-seat air-conditioned theater with great fly space, a spacious lobby that contains a concession area, and wonderfully comfortable continental-style seating for hundreds of guests. Numerous spaces off-site to accommodate production needs including a dormitory facility for the actors; living quarters for the directors, technicians, and musicians; costume shop; scene shop; and rehearsal space. •SPARTAN RACE Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distance and difficulty ranging from 3 miles to marathon distances. They are held in the US and have been franchised to 30 countries including Canada, South Korea, Australia, and several European countries. The series includes the Spartan Sprint, the Spartan Super, the Spartan Beast, and the Spartan Ultra. •WHITEWATER FESTIVAL The Bigfork Whitewater Festival is celebrating 46 years of extreme whitewater action and community-oriented fun! This is the longest-running event in Bigfork and is one that the entire Flathead Valley looks forward to each year. Participants come from around the world to race. Spectators are also a huge part of this festival and come to enjoy the races and other events held in town. •BIGFORK FESTIVAL OF ARTS It was in May of 1978 when the idea of a Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed. As so often happens in Bigfork, it started with a conversation on Electric Ave. between members of the community. The first festival was held on the first weekend in August of 1978. It was a resounding success despite the committee’s inexperience. The feedback from the community was very positive and the group agreed that it should become an annual event. Over the years, the festival has grown steadily to its current size. In 2019, there were more than 140 booths representing a wide variety of arts and crafts by nationally and internationally recognized artists and craftsmen. Festival attendance is estimated to be more than 6,000. •4TH OF JULY PARADE Bigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it’s our country’s birthday, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. The centerpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork has been voted “Best Parade in the Flathead” year after year.

Flower Farm w/Gorgeous Views-RV Pad

This RV pad, located 1.5 miles from Exit 77 on I-90, has breathtaking views the Clark Fork valley and is located near whitewater rafting, fishing, hunting and hiking amenities. Located at functioning food and flower farm (Crescent Ridge Farm), the RV pad is located 400 feet from the farm house and a few hundred feet from the large flower garden. This stay offers a farm experience so you may see farming in action. We welcome you to self tour our food and flower garden, watch the free-range chickens and simply enjoy the view on the outdoor patio. The gravel RV pad is 28 feet in length (plus additional grass area) and includes a potable water and sewer hookups along with electricity. Fires are allowed (pending no restrictions) in the fire pit. A concrete pad with table and chairs offers outdoor amenities. The site is located 30 mins from Missoula and 5 mins from Alberton. There are three food options in Alberton including River's Edge, Trax Bar (pizza), and Sporty's Bar (burgers). A fishing access is available at Petty Creek (1.5 miles).

We live on 10 acres of mixed forest and field. In the summer we have an active blacksmithing school and flower farm here. The idea of a sustainable, self reliant lifestyle has always been part of our life and passing it down to others is a joy for us. We sustainably manage our food and forest to be the best stewards we can for our environment and our neighbors. Our Cabin and structures were built primarily of materials that were recycled or milled on site. which makes them warm and inviting. The Cabin is located close to our shop which houses an active blacksmithing school in the summer months where the rest of the structures are separate and in an area tucked away on the edge of the woods.Jeffrey and Betsy work to make your stay as welcoming as possible. We maintain a small orchard of fruit trees, a garden which feeds us year round and a small flower farm on the property. Avid skiers, bikers, paddlers and hikers, offering the property for others to enjoy was a conscious decision made when planning all of our infrastructure. On 2 acres within walking distance of downtown Kalispell and a short drive to Glacier National Park, we offer comfortable tipis that can sleep from 2-4 people. The tipis are equipped with a queen-sized air mattress and bedding, a power box and lighting and a table and chair. You have access to picnic tables, a fire pit and a good selection of yard games like croquet and corn-hole to name a few. The acreage is surrounded on three sides by Ashley Creek and boasts a unique covered bridge and awe-inspiring grandmother Willow trees. Beautiful downtown Kalispell is an easy 10-minute walk. There you'll find local breweries with live music, a local ice cream shop, a variety of restaurants and shops. Parking is not right next to the tipis, but we have a wagon to help get your things from your vehicle to your tipi. Under the bridge is where you'll find our games, including croquet, badminton, Frisbee and Frisbee games, Bocce ball and Wiffle golf balls and clubs. We also have extra bedding and air mattresses in a secure chest. Remember that you'll be camping in a field. We've done our level best to keep the tipis clean and clear of pests, but it is a natural environment, so there is a non-zero chance that you'll run across some dirt, grass, thistles, or a multi-legged friend. You might even get an unwanted gift from a bird. If any of that needs to be gone, you can access a broom and leaf blower on the bridge, or you can find one of us on the property and we'll take care of it for you. Thank you for your understanding!

The town of Polson is 20 minutes away. You can find everything you need from supplies, to bars, restaurants, boat rentals, public parks, and even a casino. The town of Big Fork is only 45 minutes away and is a must-see. This town has an old-west feel with great shops, restaurants, a live theater, and an old iron bridge over the river. Glacier National Park is an hour and twenty minutes away. The driveway up to the orchard is made of gravel and is a bit steep at the beginning, At times there can be a few ruts so be cautious. Most standard passenger cars can make it up the driveway with no problem. Due to campers having trouble navigating the driveway with trailers we no longer allow trailers or RV's over 22 feet. Lowered vehicles are not recommended.

Access to the three forks and the main Flathead is readily available in places, but to effectively fish the best of the Flathead, floating is suggested. The hardest thing about fly fishing in this part of northwestern Montana is keeping your eye on your fly and not the spectacular scenery. •BIGFORK SUMMER PLAYHOUSE The Bigfork Summer Playhouse was founded in 1960 by Dr. Firman ‘Bo’ Brown and his wife Margery Hunter Brown as a place for University of Montana theatre students to perform in the summer. In the early days of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, the company ate group meals, rehearsed, and lived in the same place. There were no facilities to build scenery, nor extra storage of any kind. As a matter of fact, the building didn’t even belong to the Bigfork Summer Playhouse — it was a Community Hall owned by the Masons and the Eastern Star and seated approximately 200 people. The summer group would rent the facility and bring in the stage, risers, and seats for the audience. We’re pleased to say that now the playhouse is a 435-seat air-conditioned theater with great fly space, a spacious lobby that contains a concession area, and wonderfully comfortable continental-style seating for hundreds of guests. Numerous spaces off-site to accommodate production needs including a dormitory facility for the actors; living quarters for the directors, technicians, and musicians; costume shop; scene shop; and rehearsal space. •SPARTAN RACE Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distance and difficulty ranging from 3 miles to marathon distances. They are held in the US and have been franchised to 30 countries including Canada, South Korea, Australia, and several European countries. The series includes the Spartan Sprint, the Spartan Super, the Spartan Beast, and the Spartan Ultra. •WHITEWATER FESTIVAL The Bigfork Whitewater Festival is celebrating 46 years of extreme whitewater action and community-oriented fun! This is the longest-running event in Bigfork and is one that the entire Flathead Valley looks forward to each year. Participants come from around the world to race. Spectators are also a huge part of this festival and come to enjoy the races and other events held in town. •BIGFORK FESTIVAL OF ARTS It was in May of 1978 when the idea of a Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed. As so often happens in Bigfork, it started with a conversation on Electric Ave. between members of the community. The first festival was held on the first weekend in August of 1978. It was a resounding success despite the committee’s inexperience. The feedback from the community was very positive and the group agreed that it should become an annual event. Over the years, the festival has grown steadily to its current size. In 2019, there were more than 140 booths representing a wide variety of arts and crafts by nationally and internationally recognized artists and craftsmen. Festival attendance is estimated to be more than 6,000. •4TH OF JULY PARADE Bigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it’s our country’s birthday, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. The centerpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork has been voted “Best Parade in the Flathead” year after year.

Super chill and tranquil with a great location, lake out front, hiking out back. A quiet spot, carved out of the base of a mountain. It's walking distance to the Somers Beach and Boat Launch. Blacktail Mountain is next door, Hot Springs, Glacier NP, down the road. There's plenty to do on the lake, in the mountains, or in the towns nearby. Go burn some energy and come back here to ground and re-charge. If you love quaint little towns, you'll love Somers. It offers a post office, café, bar/restaurant, hardware/lumber store, a museum, mansion and a yacht club. Culture, history and beauty here. If you love beaches, the Somers Beach is a great spot with a swimming area and place to launch paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and rafts from. There are spots tucked away next to the shoreline, among the pines, that are super sweet for picnics, or hanging out, whilst the kiddos frolic in the water. The Somers State Park is a part of a Waterfowl Preserve. It's outside of town and pretty secluded. It has a very nice sandy beach and is in a shallow cove. Likewise, it's shallow for a long ways out, so there is no boating traffic here. Perfect for SUP's, kayaker s, kids and dogs. If you love to sail, The North Flathead Yacht Club is a great place to meet locals and hitch a ride on a sailboat For whooping it up! Del's Bar is a great place. Lakeside and Big Fork offer even more, a short drive away. We even have gemstones, a roller coaster and Flathead tours.
