The trailer itself has a double or full bed perfect for two people, a sofa couch, a bed above that for a child, and a table that makes into a bed so you could fit 2 adults and three children or 3 adults comfortably! Propane and electric are available on site! The trailer is beautiful blue interior and very charming! There are hiking trails with water falls close by! It is a day trip to the Bison Range! This was our 2nd stay at The Back of the Moon. First time we stayed at the Wolf Moon site and this time at Buck Moon. Wolf Moon is a little bigger with a picnic table for hanging out and eating outdoors. Buck Moon is a little smaller but still plenty of space. It is a peaceful spot and sits up on the hill with a filtered view of the pond at the nearby resort. Carolyn is an outstanding host, very helpful and gracious. Highly recommend!

We spent 3 nights in the yurt here. It rained quite a bit and the temperatures got pretty chilly, but the yurt had an electric heater, that kept us more than comfortable. 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and our dog. We had plenty of room outside to cook and hang out. The yurt was thoughtfully arranged to feel plenty spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. You cannot beat the location of this hipcamp. We spent 3 days in the park, but it is conviently close to Kalispell and Whitefish as well. We will definitely stay again.

Our little family (2adults, 2 young kids, 2 labradors) absolutely loved Carolyn’s spot, such a great find! We towed our camper up to Wolf Moon and stayed for the Whitefish Trailblazer races in the fall. The property was beautiful and secluded. Tucked into the woods behind the Haymoon resort. The property was easy to find via google maps, and Carolyn was super responsive (even well before we booked!). The site has a 30/20 amp hookup and water available, just brought our hose to hook up & close to a free RV dump in town at the Cenex. Honestly the perfect little weekend, even with the colder weather & rain. Would 100% recommend this spot & Carolyn as a host, she was wonderful!

The site fit my needs for a place to camp while reffing soccer at the nearby Smith fields. The two sites are next to each other, but the other one was empty so I had plenty of privacy. The toilets were clean even if one was about out of paper. You can hear highway 40 due to the proximity, but it was not bad just some white noise. I would return.

What a PERFECT place for all of the many activities surrounding here! I ended up extending THREE additional nights. Less than 20 minutes to the west entrance of GNP. Several small towns within minutes to explore. Columbus Falls (Gunsight Saloon), Hungry Horse (see the dam), Coram (Paul Bunyan bar & grill) Fishing. Kalispell and Whitefish are also close by. The site is very close to fishing access on the Flathead River. Many restaurants, coffee shops and activities nearby. Safe location behind the owners residence made me feel comfortable leaving the RV and heading out to explore in my tow vehicle. Some road & distant train noise, but turn on a fan for white noise and it goes away. Easy in, turn around , flat camping spaces. I am here in “off season” and only one other camper is here. Even in busy season the sites are laid out far apart, that each site can have distance. Much better than a RV park. Open field, so solar is easy. Super quiet and friendly hosts!

We found Richard’s RV site just as expected from his pictures and description. It’s was very pleasant to have a place all to ourselves and an added bonus to be greeted by his beautiful friendly dogs. We sat at the picnic table just under the trees and enjoyed the view of the mountains. His place was just 20 minutes to the entrance of Glacier Natl park where we spent 3 days. And we were also able to enjoy restaurants and live music in Columbia Falls at a fine place suggested by Richard. We will definitely plan to stay here again next time we visit the area.
