The Mooseshroom

The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Crooked Ridge

Forest, meadow, and a delicious mountain range view....this property feels secluded with one residence besides ours in view, yet is only a few hundred yards off of Hwy 93. Easily accessible whether you're a cycler or RVer. Our acreage is smack dab on an elk route from water to the hills, so when they are using this route, we see them every few days. Deer, coyotes, eagles, hawks and owls are frequent guests, with occasional drop-ins by wolves, moose, and bears. We are mid-build on our home and have a lively family and dog. The two RV spots are about 25 yards from our house, so be aware we will all be sharing the space, to a degree. There is plenty of space for your dog(s) to run. We should communicate to let our dogs meet, but if they get along, no leashes needed. Many summer nights we host bonfires and music, but we're not too wild; things will quiet down around 11 p.m. Water and electric are solid; wifi from the house may reach you. Black and gray water dumping is available for a fee. We are mere minutes from many local lakes, 25 minutes from the Canadian border, 12 minutes from Eureka, 2 minutes to a gas station, 45 minutes from Whitefish, and about 70 minutes from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park.

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). We sell solar shower bags, sun screen, card games, cream soda, frisbees, bug spray, coffee, firewood, and more at Sam and Molly's mercantile by our house in the middle of our property. 15mi from Whitefish Lake State Park · 2 sites · RVs · Martin City, MT
Tucked into a quiet hollow just 7 miles from Glacier National Park, this rolling, wooded property was once a thriving herb farm. Oregano and other herbs still grow wild among the aspens and lodgepole pines. Today, it’s a peaceful basecamp for exploring Glacier, Flathead Lake, Whitefish Mountain, and the many natural wonders nearby. Brad and Sarah, your hosts, frequent the property while Brad builds custom cabins on the land—including one on the original homestead foundation. Until then, guests can enjoy the property’s secluded, park-like feel and easy access to adventure. Why you’ll love it here: -Secluded yet convenient: rare privacy this close to the park -3 acres of partially wooded land for relaxing, walking dogs, or playing games -Mature trees, peekaboo mountain views, and level sites with room to spread out Site details: -Level gravel pads with electric hookups (50/30/20 amp) and water -No septic service, but public dump stations nearby -Reliable cell signal for most carriers + Wi-Fi on-site -Gravel access road with a short uphill turn at the entrance (all RVs manage fine, but good to know ahead of time) Despite the quiet setting, you’re just 11 miles from Columbia Falls for groceries, dining, and local bars. Glacier Distilling, zip lines, and family attractions are also close by. Also please note: this isn’t the place for large groups or loud parties—most guests come for Montana’s peace and starry nights. We’re often on-site working on future cabins, and we’d love to say hello if you see us around! Special offer: We provide a 15% discount for Police, Firefighters, and Active Duty Military. Message us for details and a code.

Drive-in, park, and begin enjoying all the crazy, fun, or just relaxing things you want out of your private lakefront property. You're on the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake, this side of the Mississippi, and home of Wildhorse Island, where the Boone and Crocket world record Bighorn Sheep was discovered, killed by winter weather. This 2160 acre island is also the home of deer, mountain lions, bears, several species of eagles, and wild horses. Day hiking is allowed and is a 5-minute boat ride from your beach spot. Just slightly over an hour to Glacier National Park and access to all the mountain lakes, rivers and streams to explore, you won't be bored. Right around the corner, you have access to a boat ramp at one of the state-owned Parks with public showers, if the lake water is too cold. If you want to make her an honest women, while you're here, you're staying on our wedding and event venue (www.flatheadlakeforevers) and we will help make that happen too. Tell us what you want and we'll help you make it happen. Pictures posted on this site are all from this 34 acre, 900 ft. of lake frontage venue. Don't miss this one. Sorry no more instant booking, we don't ever want another Tod on our property.
