Like a postcard photograph, Bigfoot Campout sits perched over Mirror Lake on one end of a mountain bowl. Campers will have gorgeous views and sunsets over the lake. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, hiking and wildlife watching abound. The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive).
The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing.
Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground?
Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day.
Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED.
ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, THERE ARE NO DESIGNATED CAMPSITES. Let your creativity shine and choose as dope a spot as you like! If you're scared of driving off a paved road or frightened by the natural world we suggest glamping at another lovely Green Bluff location.
Starting SEPTEMBER 23RD until OCTOBER 31ST every weekday we host hundreds of school kids on the farm. They start arriving around 9:00 am. If the sound of children's laughter drives you absolutely insane, you might think twice about booking a stay with us in the fall.
Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow.
Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads.
July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. Farm=Dirt

No Side by Sides (UTV's), dirt bikes, or ATV's allowed to be rallied on the property. We can suggest close spots to rally.

Looking to do some hiking? We are loaded with nearby alpine lakes, peaks, and more trails to suit your needs and adventure cravings. Danny has hiked the majority of them in the area and is always up to help plan and recommend local hikes. Furthermore, we are nearby and centralized to many must-see places. As stated, Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park (including their gun range) are all located ten minutes or less from our property. Other places to see include Bayview, Idaho and Sandpoint, Idaho - both situated on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.
Things to note:
-Your site will be fully stocked to meet your camping needs! This includes a picnic table, a smokeless fire pit, fire starting materials, and a pad or pads to accommodate your tent(s).
-Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase.
-Our campground has a fully functioning outhouse that we take great pride in maintaining to ensure cleanliness and a pleasant experience. It may just be the biggest outhouse you’ve ever seen!
-Our campground now has potable water! Near the firewood stand you will find a spigot that can be used for your camping needs. Your site will have a large six gallon container of non-potable water to be used in the case of a fire emergency (if safe to do so).
-Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash. Please pick up after your pet.
-Tessa and Danny were both born and raised in Northern Idaho. If you have questions or need suggestions on anything at all feel free to ask!
-We live in an area of five acre lots. You can expect to hear the occasional, friendly neighborhood noise.

We offer six spacious RV sites, each measuring at least40' x 10' (Spaces 2-6 get progressively longer up to approx. 70 feet), with grassy space between sites for added privacy. Every RV site includes:

There are Septic hookups at each RV space and a dump station on the property for a 10$ fee.
Room for one additional vehicle per reservation
If children in your family would like to set up a small tent next to your RV, there is no additional charge.
If additional family members or friends are traveling with you and would like to stay in their own tent near your RV site, they are welcome to camp together. However, each additional tent must be reserved through our separate tent camping listing and is subject to the $25 per tent camping fee.

The main property and home are next door, and we are easily reachable if you need anything during your visit.
We offer year round electrical hook-ups, and fresh water in Spring, Summer and Fall (the pipes are winterized from approximately the end of October-March, depending on the snow season). While there is only 1 electrical hook-up, there is space for an additional vehicle, and options for parking locations if electrical is not required. During your stay, keep an eye out for our neighborhood moose family, our year-round bald eagles, and our many deer, quail, and turkey friends.

We are generally available and on-site 24/7 for any issues, questions and or problems that may need solved. In the case you forget anything at all……we can find it, fix it or provide it. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Some exceptions could be accommodated for additional tent campers in the same group on a case by case basis. Please reach out if you have a special circumstance. If you see dates that you want that are blocked out feel free to get in touch, we block out some dates because we love to go camping too, we have no problem opening dates up for guests :)

There’s a map of the 5 acres that leads you to hidden features, like the gypsy fortune-telling tea house, a fairy mound at the base of a huge fir tree, a yoga platform, and a Buddha bench for contemplating or conversation.

We are surrounded by other small farms, as well as a brewery, winery, cidery, and a meadery. We are located on a quiet side street and enjoy our peaceful country life. Location, location, location best describes our beautiful 3.3 acres of privately owned land with a mix of meadows and trees with additional upper-level sites as well. Cyclists, SXS'ers or bikers can take off right from the front gate to The Center of the Universe (downtown Wallace less than a mile away) or out to the open trails surrounding Wallace in all its glory.
WHAT WE OFFER: 3.3 acres of mostly flat grassy meadow, trees, as well as a gravel/rocky, still-being-developed area; Lou's Happy Crapper containing 2 private toilets, 2 private bath/showers, and one sink; (As of mid-October the water system will be winterized, therefore no water, bath house or toilet facilities will be available, self-contained campers only until spring when weather permits) a central covered fire pit area, and all of it totally fenced.
WHAT WE DON'T OFFER: private firepits, power, sewer or water hookups.
WHAT WE KINDLY ASK: Please adhere to pack it in-pack it out practices (Please take all garbage with you when you leave). Leave the restroom area clean after use, including wiping down showers, and keeping toilets clean. Toilet paper and cleaning supplies are provided (any donations to the supplies or firewood is greatly appreciated and follows our "pay-it-forward" philosophy.) At this time, we do not have labeled sites and ask that we all respect the desire to have space between visitors. We have not determined a maximum capacity as of yet, but our desire is to keep it small so everyone can experience the peace and tranquility of the open wilderness. We are pet friendly and ask that you act responsibly and clean up after your pet as well as keep on a leash if they possibly will act out. Please keep gates closed at all times.
We may or may not be present during your stay, but at time of booking we will be able to tell you.
There are so many events in this awesome town called Wallace. By providing a place for campers to stay is one way in helping to preserve and enjoy this historic, small-town gem!

My friend & I had a nice time. The sites were cute. Could of been a bit more manicured. We wish there was an option for a fire, but we understand. It was pretty cold without one. It was chilly & windy. Not enough sunlight. But those are all mother nature problems. The hosts were very nice and the bathroom was awesome. The neighbors were loud with target practice and dogs barking all night, but again.. not any fault on the hosts. Will definitely stay there again. Perhaps not so late in the season. Thanx for having us.

Amazing camping location, close to town but far enough that it feels super rural. Love the nature walks, the dock and provided amenities. The only thing was the ports potty got gross quickly and I think this site is big enough for 2 cars although only 1 is allowed. There is more than enough for 2 cars.

Easy to find, cozy little spot. Parking lot is close to the sites and the water spigot. All of the sites are pretty close together, but spread out enough that it’s not like a public campground. Good amount of tree coverage - places to hammock, but you can still see the night sky.

We spent the night relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view of the Spokane River in CDA. The Riverview Woodland Retreat was the perfect place for an overnight stay as we were passed through. We found it easy to find and close to CDA. We would love to stay again if we find ourselves in the area. Wylie was a great host and told us about the area which we enjoyed.

Had a great weekend with the place to myself. The teepee was wonderful and very comfortable to stay in. Jane my host met me there and helped me get my stuff up the hill which was appreciated. Everything is set up so cute. I enjoyed the path down to the little pond and spent some time checking out Gypsy Rose. So peaceful and the crickets were so loud it was wonderful. Saturday night got to watch the lightning over the meadow. Overall an amazing little trip and I hope to be back soon.

It was a great site. The host was very friendly and helpful. They had a great view of the fields and it was sheltered beneath great ponderosa pines. The only detractor was the traffic noise, but it settled down and was okay at night time.

We had a wonderful time at this quiet little Hipcamp spot in the woods! Everything is so thoughtfully laid out, amenities and activities available for rent, fun scavenger hunts for the kids, a cute little dock on Mirror Lake and only a couple minute drive down to Telache Landing, which has crystal clear water and great swimming & fishing. The site (C) was easy to get into and peaceful! Would definitely stay here again. 🌟

I wish I had more time in the Forest Glen. It is my 2nd time staying in site #1. Just enough removed from everything. It is well kept and fairly quiet. Jane is a wonderful and compassionate host and has created a place that holds a little magic. I personally love to outdoor solar shower. Occasionally wild turkeys pass by as well as deer, and quail. I'll return again.

1 night at 🌲 Black Lake Overlook Retreat
We had such a memorable stay at Kara's Black Lake Overlook Retreat! So much work has gone into carving out this sweet camp spot on a terrace nestled into the side of the mountain with spectacular views. It was the perfect balance of conveniences (large tent you can stand up in, great three burner camp stove with fuel, super clean porta potty, tables and chairs, hammock) and simplicity (we like it to feel like camping, and that we are spending time in our natural surroundings!) which made our stay so peaceful and relaxing. It's not often that we get to slow down and be away from the distractions of every day life without a lot of planning and preparation involved. The set up there made it so easy for us to plan a last minute getaway. I've never seen such thorough and clear information about what to expect and what to explore when there. The owners have clearly poured their hearts into this project and we feel lucky to be one of the first to experience it. We enjoyed paddle on the lake and had it all to ourselves. We played cribbage, had epic star viewing and felt we discovered a hidden gem.

Second time I’ve stayed at Coyote Flats, the dogs and I love to wake up there. I come in for an event and only spend evenings and mornings there but the privacy and quiet makes it my kind of place.
