First, if you plan to stay here I strongly suggest taking the Sierra Silver Mine Tour BEFORE arriving at the property. It is fascinating, and will hopefully deepen your appreciation of the area.
Second, when you get to the property have a chat with Lisa and learn a bit of the history. Lisa owns several hundred feet of land along the road, and just across and up the road (in addition to the creek) is the most amazing abandoned mine.
The entire little canyon was a thriving mining operation at one point, which made the site super intriguing for my friend and me.
Overall the privacy was OK. This is a multi-site camp. We had site #2 and backed in, making it feel more private. Otherwise, the amenities were really nice; and you can tell Lisa goes that extra mile to make her site engaging and fun: fire pit, rock painting, horse shoes, corn hole, a shed with some additional activities and games, grills, etc.
Everything was nice and well kept. We are glad we had the opportunity to stay there. A long walk up the mountain road in itself made this site worth it.

This is such an adorable spot to make memories with your friends and family! Everything was perfect. The scenery was gorgeous and peaceful. Lisa even checked on us during a rain storm to make sure we were doing okay. We loved all of the little "extras" at the camp, like rock painting, the tire swing, the wood pile, roasting sticks, and the little cabin with maps and other fun finds. I would highly recommend Lisa and her place for an overnight visit or for a few days.

Winter Wonderland in Burke
We stayed at Lisa’s Burke Creekside site. We absolutely LOVED staying there. Lisa has made such wonderful “extras” to make us feel welcome. She is so friendly and approachable. We definitely want to stay there again! The only down side was the reclamation work trucks, but that won’t last. Definitely a 9 out of 10. 💕

We had an absolute blast staying here last night! The atmosphere was so welcoming, and the air in the evening was just wonderful. While it doesn't have the standard big-campsite facilities like toilets and showers, the host made up for it with so much heart and thoughtful organization.
The space is neat, beautiful, and gives kids endless room to run around and play. Our kids especially loved the cute activity corners, like the stone-painting area and the sidewalk chalk spot. It’s a wonderful, cozy spot for families looking for a peaceful outdoors experience. Highly recommended!

Lisa is the best host. She has just about everything you'd want at a campsite. Lawn area with tables and fire rings. Pet treats and toys. Rock paining station and chalk for the kiddos. The property is beautiful, super clean, and welcoming. THANK YOU!

This property had it all! We loved our stay, it had something for everyone. Perfect for our dog, kids and the adults.
What a really cool spot to stay for a glimpse into the deep history of the once bustling mining town of Burke.
We thoroughly enjoyed our camp host, Lisa. She puts a lot of love into her space and was a joy to visit with!
Also, the stay is a 10 minute drive to the beautiful town of Wallace with lots of historical sights, great food, and attractions.

Lisa was friendly and helpful campground owner. Clean space. right on the highway but very quiet in am, evening and overnight when truck traffic was not running. We absolutely loved the nearby town of Wallace and mine tour. Thanks Lisa!

Fantastic stay very clean with a great lawn and some great amenities as well!
We enjoyed our stay at Burkes. Lisa has done a terrific job of setting up spaces that are roomy and flat. I didn’t get to meet her, but her communication was very good. We’ve already recommended our friends to stay here and they reserved a spot for a couple of weeks from now.
The town of Wallace is fun to go to for pubs and meals and a couple of tours. We also drove to Hiawatha Bike Trail, which is about 40 minutes away, and had a blast biking the trail.
We have a 38’ motorhome and had no problem at all. Highly recommend! Thanks Lisa!

We love Lisa’s place. She is also amazing as a host. We are able to ride our mountain bikes from site 3 and ride up in the mountains for hours. Then come back to camp and just chill and relax, maybe a little bit of horse shoes or corn hole. Also, Wallace is just six or so miles away if you want a little town vibe. We have stayed at Lisa’s before and will be back again.
Lisa is friendly, accommodating, easy going, and welcoming. She is there to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. It is quiet at night and spaces are not packed together so you have room to breathe. I would recommend for sure!!

Friendly host and beautiful setting. Porta potty was super clean.
A wonderful little spot. Quiet, but easily accessible. Lisa is a joy, but not nosy. Super dog friendly with treats and toys.
Lisa met us as we came in. The area was very well kept. We were able to choose our own site.
Would stay there again!
