Stay on the edge of a working family farm (Dragon's Breath Farm) and the surrounding National Forest where the human world enmeshes with the wilds! The farm sits on 17 acres (with only 1 acre in production) with a 1906 log cabin. The small Silver Butte Fisher River runs just off the edge of the field and is the home to trout, moose, beavers, bald eagles, mink, elk, kingfishers, ravens, deer, and the occasional bear, lion, or wolf pack. We are between the towns of Libby and Kalispell, each known for limitless outdoor activities including hiking, boating, fishing, hunting, skiing, climbing, paddling, foraging, & riding. There are surrounding lakes, rivers, mountains, forests, and limited cell phone coverage. This is the place you come to to disconnect to reconnect. To yourself. To the forest. To the rivers. To the wildlife. To the Land. To something lost but not forgotten. With few neighbors, the property is quiet except for birdsong and elk calls. We are only a mile off the highway and rarely hear a passing truck. Whether you are passing through and just need a safe space for the night or want to stay awhile and immerse yourself in the land and location, you've found the right place.

The LCR was established January 1st, 2015 as the ambitious result of the owners, James and Debby who dreamt of always having a ranch/recreational destination property. There are no small town main streets or stores, fancy restaurants or coffee stands, not even any museums or other touristy attractions..... what you will find is a remote, peaceful, serene, and private setting with a great history and relatively easy access to any of those things; all less than 30 minutes away. You'll also be in close proximity to Glacier National Park, Whitefish and Flathead Lakes (plus countless other lakes, rivers, ponds, and streams), as well as all of the other wonders the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana offers. Our property offers two Full RV sites and two tiny cabin rentals. The RV's can be reserved here on Hipcamp and the cabins are available on VRBO #2432106 or #2432361 for reservations. For more information and pictures. The RV sites have water, sewer, and electric hook-up(s) 15ft or less from your unit so please make sure your connections are long enough. There is no cellular service or coverage but we have very good Internet access and WiFi calling is available with most smart phones. Enjoy your time watching deer graze, fish jumping in the pond, or star gazing unlike you’ll ever see...or just relax with a good book. Our property has many options nearby or about an hour away including Flathead and Whitefish Lakes, Glacier National Park, and a myriad of other lakes or hiking trails. You can also find shopping or exploring in any of the downtown areas nearby. Pets allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. We look forward to having you visit us in America’s “Last Best Place”! James and Debby Abraham

On 2 acres within walking distance of downtown Kalispell and a short drive to Glacier National Park, we offer comfortable tipis that can sleep from 2-4 people. The tipis are equipped with a queen-sized air mattress and bedding, a power box and lighting and a table and chair. You have access to picnic tables, a fire pit and a good selection of yard games like croquet and corn-hole to name a few. The acreage is surrounded on three sides by Ashley Creek and boasts a unique covered bridge and awe-inspiring grandmother Willow trees. Beautiful downtown Kalispell is an easy 10-minute walk. There you'll find local breweries with live music, a local ice cream shop, a variety of restaurants and shops. Parking is not right next to the tipis, but we have a wagon to help get your things from your vehicle to your tipi. Under the bridge is where you'll find our games, including croquet, badminton, Frisbee and Frisbee games, Bocce ball and Wiffle golf balls and clubs. We also have extra bedding and air mattresses in a secure chest. Remember that you'll be camping in a field. We've done our level best to keep the tipis clean and clear of pests, but it is a natural environment, so there is a non-zero chance that you'll run across some dirt, grass, thistles, or a multi-legged friend. You might even get an unwanted gift from a bird. If any of that needs to be gone, you can access a broom and leaf blower on the bridge, or you can find one of us on the property and we'll take care of it for you. Thank you for your understanding!

These are newly developed sites (2021) nested on the back of our property about 200ft from our house on a dead-end road. We have rural neighborhood vibe, with a 2 mile scenic paved walking path nearby. We have newly planted trees and shrubs, so not much afternoon shade. With the open areas sunrises and sunsets are fantastic! Both back in sites are 40’ in length with extra vehicle parking available. Please confirm your measurements before booking. There is enough room to easily pull in and then back into your spot. Ideal for Class-A motor-homes, fifth wheels, tent trailers, travel trailers, pick-up campers and self-contained van campers. Additionally, 1 tent is allowed at each site. Because there are no bathrooms we are unable to accept TENT ONLY camping at this time. Both campsites have full hookups including artisan well water, septic, with 50 amp electric on site #2 and 30 & 50 amp electric on site #3. Garbage receptacle is located by the east side of the greenhouse. Plenty to see and do in the Flathead Valley. Lots of wonderful local restaurants, pubs, breweries and wineries.
