Sage Oasis is a permaculture garden retreat center with a variety of lodging options located just outside the town of Hot Springs, Montana, an area known for its sweeping high desert views and unique mineral-rich hot soaking options. Evolving as a model of self-sufficient living in support of personal health and well-being at the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. Sage Oasis hosts small hands-on workshops and retreat experiences for individuals and groups. We are located mid-way between Missoula and Kalispell, hot mineral soaks just minutes away in the Hot Springs valley of western Montana. It is 30 minutes from Flathead Lake, 45 minutes to the National Bison Range, and under 2 hours to Glacier National Park. All the activities and features listed here are within an hour's drive. We allow one pet per unit for a fee of $15 per trip, which you may kindly add to your payment. Please request permission for additional pets, as we often have several on the property and try to limit the numbers. Thank you.

Sage Oasis Garden Retreat is a wellness retreat and workshop destination nestled in the Hot Springs Valley of beautiful western Montana. Sage Oasis is the perfect place for those desiring a personally tailored extended-stay retreat experience. Whether you’re looking for a place to partake in quiet meditation and contemplation, a wide-open or protected space for yoga, fresh air and easy walks or strenuous jogs, or just a stop off on your way to entering and exploring Western Montana, we have over 100 acres of beautiful, high desert landscape to provide the space and quiet for the re-creation or re-discovery of oneself. Take in the world class Mineral rich soaking opportunities within minutes of Sage Oasis, or rest yourselves after a day in Glacier Park and be awe-struck at the vast starry night sky. We are an hour and 1/2 from the west entrance to the park, mid-way between Kalispell and Missoula, 50 minutes to the National Bison Range, 30 minutes to Flathead Lake, the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi. We have a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, composting toilet and solar shower for your convenience. This site has no hook-ups.

The address is on the mailbox 57578 and the sign "Sam's Place" is on the gate. Enter the driveway and continue towards the Barndominium and you'll see the Garden View Cabin (Green) on the right (North) side of the driveway. Park near the orange cones and reflectors. Your cabin opens to the garden with access to the outdoor kitchen and easy access to toilet and shower facilities through the north green gate, which we must keep closed to keep deer out. Feel free to explore the garden, outdoor kitchen and the 101 acres of open high desert landscapes, with a jeep trail heading East to the Bitterroot River, our East boundary.

Bitterroot Cabin

The address is on the mailbox 57578 and the sign "Sam's Place" is on the gate. Enter the driveway and continue past the post marked # 1 toward the roped off parking area. Load your things in one of the wagons or on the dolly and find your way to the Bitterroot Cabin past the shower and toilet facilities on your right and the garden on your left. You will see a bitterroot flower on the east end of your cabin. Feel free to explore the garden, outdoor kitchen and the 101 fenced acres with the Bitterroot River as the east boundary. The cabin is mostly off-grid with a solar generator, but also has one electrical outlet powered by a cord.

Absolutely stunning views. Toilet very clean. Shower was heavenly after being on the road camping a few days. Loved listening to the coyotes at night after watching the sunset. Would absolutely stay again.

Anita was as sweet as her tent! Her place has a beautiful, peaceful view of Montana. She was very accommodating to our needs and went over the top to be helpful! We so hope to visit again soon!

Oh gosh, we loved it here. Loved waking up in the morning to birds in the trees, hummingbirds... Warm and cozy little cabin in a beautiful, quiet and peaceful setting. would love to come again and stay a little bit longer. Anita was great.

The camping here was phenomenal. Hot Springs is one of our favorite spots to see the stars, and Sage Oasis did not disappoint for star gazing during our stay. The property was well maintained, bathroom and showers were clean and quaint. Definitely recommend

We loved the Roomy Red Tent. It is a beautiful, peaceful location. We arrived in a bit of a heat wave, so we were extremely grateful for the cold outdoor shower to cool off!

Garden View Cabin
Loved this campsite so much that we stayed an extra two days. The garden is indeed an oasis, the dogs are friendly, the views are to die for! Hot Springs is a great town, easy to find groceries and decent coffee. There are so many swimming holes to explore nearby. Thank you Anita for being so welcoming!

Roomy Red Tent
Very nice clean tent. We stayed in the roomy red. Which was perfect size for my husband and two children. Saw a gorgeous sunrise from our bed. Campsites are very spaced out making you feel like your there all by yourself. Toilet area was very clean. Shower was lovely wish it had more of a door and hot water.

Sage Oasis is a beautiful place. Definitely has an out of the way retreat feel to it, but it was still pretty accessible. Anita was a very generous and kind host. We stayed in the green cabin and it was cozy and cute.

Beautiful and breathtaking, pictures do not do it justice. We were so sad to leave. What a paradise. Perfect location with easy access (by car) to Flathead Lake and Missoula. Also, they loved our dog Pickle!!

Lovely little cabin with AC and comfy bed, which has a nice porch that overlooks a lush green garden. We didn't use the shower so I can't comment on that but there's also a composting toilet which wasn't stinky at all. It's near Hot Springs which has a wonderful little health food store and attached café which has amazing pastries and sandwiches, including for breakfast. It's worth visiting for sure.

There is absolutely no shade…..no fan inside of the tent….the bed was just an air mattress….of which wasn’t even inflated entirely….sprinklers by the showers were on the entire night so you had to wade through water and sprinklers to go to the bathroom….no fire pits….

Lovely little (big red) stay
Roomy Red Tent
Great spot to camp out for a few nights. Clean tent, decent bed. Nice to have the composting toilet and the solar shower as well. The garden is wonderful and the stars at night are breathtaking! Can get warm in the summer so make sure to have some ice to cool off with. Only thing i would add would maybe be a small table for the inside the tent for snacking/eating (only b/c outside can get a little too warm). Overall Anita was lovely and this is a chill spot to camp out.

We had a fantastic time at Anita’s in our rooftop tent. We were met by Anita and her friendly dog Luka. The views were fantastic, the tent space was huge. It was a very tranquil and we enjoyed seeing the little rabbits. I loved the working Kohler sink outside the bathroom areas. My son loved your dog and picking the raspberries.

Great spot! Super friendly/helpful hosts and amazingly beautiful sunsets. Our pro advice would be to bring some heavy duty stakes since it was a bit windy setting up. Also be sure to check our Ashley lake nearby, it was divine!

A beautiful setting, quiet and clean and spacious. The road in was gravel and after traveling a bit of washboard I hoped it wouldn’t get worse, and it didn’t. It was a good place.

Anita has created a beautiful, safe space to spend time, connect, walk, explore, listen, smell, look. The space is amazing for intimate gatherings and teachings. It’s a haven. The birds are incredible. Anita is a warm host - open and kind. (As is her k9 goofball, Luka!)
