We live on 10 acres of mixed forest and field. In the summer we have an active blacksmithing school and flower farm here. Our family built a cabin in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the 1970’s. We’ve been coming out for over 20 years to visit and now are making this our home. One thing about this area that really strikes me is the gorgeous Ear Mountain. It hovers with the rest of the Rocky Mountain Front making a beautiful back drop for the quaint town of Choteau. We are located 90 miles from St. Mary’s in Glacier park. If you are looking to go to Glacier we are an excellent spot to stay and rest on your journey. The town of Choteau has several restaurants, gas stations with propane, a drug store and Rex’s grocery. If you feel like walking downtown, you’ll see the historic buildings like the Courthouse built in 1906.

We are small town Kansas natives who fell in love with Montana over 15 years ago. This property is equal parts privacy and concience, you can enjoy the peace and quite of nature while also having the ability to hop over a few miles to our little town for groceries, a local beer, or to gas up your car! The Holmestead is a rustic dry cabin on 5 acres nestled between Mill Creek and a seasonal run off stream with easy access to the highway and only a 10 min drive to Missoula. A queen bed, futon and air mattress are available for sleeping! Family and pet friendly property with plenty of space to pitch a tent next to the cabin if you have more guests in your party (tents will be an additional fee, $10 per person in addition to the 4 person cabin max). Excellent cell service if you have Verizon or carriers that pull from those towers. Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! If you have questions about fun things to do please reach out to us! Parking: Reserved parking for guests in the main driveway or in the clearing near the cabin. Water: Portable toilet onsite, sealson warm shower and sink also available, we recently upgraded to a JOOLCA hot water system so guests can have running water and a warm outdoor shower. We provide 5 gal of potable water in the colder months and have running water nearby for easy refill of water containers if needed in the warmer months. We look forward to sharing our piece of Montana with you! Pets allowed. We do have 2 very frienly dogs that roam the property freely, if you pet is reactive please let us know so we can monitor our dogs when letting them outside to do their business. Between the mapping and the directions given, it was easy to get to. I was on a cross country trip and got in at just about midnight on a rainy night, but still had no problem finding it. Nice and private, perfect for my dogs to run around while I set up camp in my truck. About 12 minutes from the freeway, I enjoyed driving just enough off the main road to get to some seclusion.

We had an amazing time at Becky’s cabin. This cabin is remote but very close to Yellowstone mammoth entrance which is great! They provide you will everything you need to cook which was nice including the propane for the stove and lots of pots and pans and utensils. There are lots of trails to hike nearby and with the river, lots to explore right by the cabin. We had a lovely visit. Like they say, the road getting there is all wheel drive friendly. We hope to be back!

Geof really is a super-star host and his land is a dream! We stayed in the A Frame right next to the creek and listened to the water and owls hooting at night. We loved watching piggies, petting donkeys and playing with the sweet dogs. Geof was super accommodating and we can’t wait to go back!

Lovely property but one small complaint....we booked 2 nights, got there an hour before check in closed as per their listing, but when we got there it was already closed. I tried calling (roaming on my cell phone since I am from out of country) and texting with no answer, as well as no response on the app. We ended up having to book a motel room (expensive) instead. The next morning i had a message saying the key to the cabin was sitting in an envelope near the office. There was no message telling me it was there, or that they were closing earlier than their stated time. They did offer to give us another free night, but we were on a road trip and had to move on to our next destination. Absolutely recommend, but be very careful with posted check in times, or it could cost you haha

Five stars doesn’t even feel like enough for this place. The cabin in Paradise Valley was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. The host was incredibly responsive from start to finish, and every detail was thoughtfully communicated, which made the whole experience seamless. What really made it special, though, was the setting. The “music” of nature out there is something else—quiet, grounding, and unforgettable. And the night sky… absolutely unreal. I’ve never seen stars like that before. This was one of those stays that sticks with you. I’ll definitely be back.

I ended up at Cody’s at kind of the last second and he and his wife were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The space is really clean and well kept. Me and my dogs slept great. I would have booked another night but had plans for the next evening already. I highly recommend this spot - a steal for the price.

Title says it all. I stayed here in the cabin as a solo traveler. There is enough room for 3-4 people comfortably in the cabin. After several weeks of travel it was nice to have a table, chairs, and easy access to the very clean bathroom and shower area which was nice and warm, even when the temperatures started to drop. Having a little shop located on site was very convenient, and I was pleasantly surprised at how developed Ennis, MT is. Try the restaurant next door, the Continental Divide. It was fantastic. This spot was a perfect jumping off point for trips into Yellowstone and Tetons. Thank you for a great stay, I would absolutely come back in the future.

My little dog and I absolutely loved our stay at Yellowstone Holiday. Our cabin was super cozy with a little heater to keep us warm. During the day, we enjoyed the lakeside walks. I was able to do a load of laundry & take a nice hot shower. The staff were warm, kind, friendly, and helpful, and Penny loved stopping by for treats. I would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful property. Thoughtful accommodations(games, solar powered flashlight/radio, books, hiking poles). Truly a wonderful experience. We didn’t encounter any bears but we did get to see a few deer. I recommend getting there during the light hours so you can find your way. Easy to follow instruction. Hosts are responsive and welcoming. Propane fire pit was a nice bonus. Our indoor heater was out of propane but we were comfortable. Bathroom and shower are down a little ways from the a-frame but not a bad walk. Definitely set up for a camper ready for a little glamp :)

This is the second time I have stayed at Choteau Mountain cabins. The cabins are unchanging in their simplicity and comfort, which suits me fine. We made a campfire in the firepit, only to have to quickly put it out due to thunderstorm winds. The hosts are cheery and as helpful as we wanted them to be. At night the campground is very quiet and the rural community comes to life at sunrise, which suited us.
