Welcome to Oxen-Le-Fields Montana! With one cozy cabin and two 12 x 14' wall tents, our 6 sunny acres are surrounded by the Bitterroot National Forest. Whether you're hunting, hiking, or just looking for a quiet getaway, the camp offers remarkable views including an abundance of wildlife, Sula Peak, and forest hills as far as the eye can see. Nestled against the national forest, we have direct access to forest roads that go for miles. Come discover the beauty of the Bitterroot at Oxen-Le-Fields Montana. With a perfect view of Sula Peak, Tent #2 is a 12x14 wall tent featuring a comfortable king bed complete with full bedding including a dual-controlled king-size electric blanket, and a cozy woodstove with free firewood. Wi-fi is free, and the tent has one power strip for electronics. Guests have access to nearby potable water and a flushing toilet. Patio chairs, propane barbecue and picnic table are provided for campers to enjoy. Relax with your favorite beverage on the patio overlooking Sula Peak and enjoy the sounds of nature. TENT CONTENTS: * King bed with full bedding, pillows, electric blanket * Two camp chairs * Woodstove with free firewood, kindling and matches * Two lamps * Power strip for electronics * Two plates, bowls, mugs, and silverware * Water kettle, cast-iron pan, oil for cast-iron pan, and cooking utensils WEATHER: Nestled between the Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains, the picturesque valley is known as the Banana Belt of Montana, however it's still Montana and inclement weather can happen anytime. Please observe weather reports and road conditions before traveling. BATHROOM: A flushing toilet and cold-water sink are located inside the small brown building marked "Wild Wild West" over the door. FRESH WATER: The Bitterroot River provides potable water for campers. A water spigot is located behind the bathroom. A wash basin, sponge, and soap are available for your use. COOKING: Guests are welcome to cook on the woodstove (oil is on the table) or enjoy the propane BBQ next to the picnic table. WOODSTOVE: The woodstove does an excellent job keeping the tent toasty warm. Free firewood is provided. PETS: Pets are absolutely welcome but must be on lead at all times to prevent them from bothering the free-range chickens or disturbing other campers. If your pup likes to sleep on the bed, please cover the bedding with the provided pup sheet to help prevent claw holes (thank you!). FIREPIT: Toss wood into the firepit located near the picnic table and enjoy a contained fire any time burning is allowed (per county burn rules). NOTE: Campers MUST extinguish all fires by completely soaking embers with water from the provided jug to ensure all potential hot spots are fully extinguished.

Surrounded by the Bitterroot national forest, Oxen-Le-Fields Montana offers 6 sunny acres, a cozy cabin, and 2 wall tents for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. The remarkable view includes an abundance of wildlife, Sula Peak, and forest hills as far as the eye can see. CABIN: The cabin was originally a hunting cabin, which reflects its simplicity. The linoleum floors and simple furnishings means easy living so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Although small, the cozy space offers hot/cold water, full fridge, bathroom with a rustic but hot shower, propane barbecue, fully fenced yard, and more. FRESH WATER: The Bitterroot River provides the cabin with fresh potable water straight from the kitchen sink. BEDROOM: The small bedroom offers a 5-drawer dresser, and two single beds with warm linen. HEAT: The cabin is heated by a large woodstove. Firewood and kindling are provided free of charge. BATHROOM: The rustic bathroom offers a small yet hot shower, towels, shampoo/condition/soap, toilet, and apartment-sized washer and dryer. A sink in the kitchen offers running hot and cold water for brushing your teeth, shaving, etc. KITCHEN: The kitchen offers a small sink with potable water, full size fridge with upper freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker, electric hotplate, small toaster oven, pots and pans, plates, mugs, bowels, utensils, and table with two chairs. More seating is available on the patio, and a propane BBQ is just outside the front steps. WOODSTOVE: The woodstove is the sole source of heat, and does a magnificent job. Free firewood, kindling and matches are provided. FIREPIT: Toss wood into the firepit located in the yard to enjoy a contained fire any time burning is allowed (per county burn rules). NOTE: Campers MUST extinguish all fires by completely soaking embers with water to ensure all potential hot spots are fully extinguished. Thank you for doing your part to prevent wildfires, much appreciated! LAUNDRY: The apartment-size washer/dryer located in the bathroom are perfect for small loads. Detergent is provided. FOREST ACCESS: Follow the short trail behind tent #1 up to the forest road, and go either right or left to access miles of incredible scenery. Bear spray and/or gun are strongly recommended.
