There is a gorgeous new shower house built in 2023. It provides a large walk in shower, vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet. Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site. Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer, bugs or field mice at anytime. We have tried to preserve the Homestead cabin as much as possible to its original state. There are elk, deer, birds and other native wildlife on the property daily.

Construction began on the Range Rider in 1937 after the magnificent Beartooth Highway was completed. Whole logs were brought in from the surrounding forests and oil paintings depicting beautiful mountain scenes were commissioned to line the banisters of the second floor. The Range Rider was originally constructed to be an “indoor playground” for all of the tourists coming over the Beartooth Highway. Since its opening, the Range Rider, originally called the Gorham Chalet, has seen many wild times and brought a lot of entertainment to a small mountain community. Ernest Hemingway even used to frequent the bar and write. The original logs still stand and the Range Rider still possesses all of the magic that it has had since the day it opened. Over the years not much has changed, just enough so that people can continue to enjoy the Range Rider as so many have been able to in the past. Rooms in the Range Rider are available to be rented for nightly rentals. Rooms with one double bed start at $99.00/night and rooms with two double beds start at $184.00/night (these prices do not include tax). There are 5 communal restrooms; among them are 2 men’s showers and two women’s showers and two men’s restrooms and 2 women’s restrooms. The Range Rider is a rustic lodging option for people who don’t mind communal bathrooms, creaking floors, and thin walls. It is a beautiful building with a lot of history and charm but its age shows. The Range Rider Lodge is not for people looking for a luxury lodging option. It offers the bare minimum for your stay; the beds are comfortable and made with fresh linens and towels are provided for the bathrooms. The rooms are simple with just a bed and a table furnishing each room. The building warms up during the day but cools off at night depending on the outside temperature; to combat this we provide small space heaters in each bedroom.

The area always gets afternoon wind gusts that happen daily and don't last long but something you'll want to be aware of. On site we have available for rent 2 tiny houses and 4 Rv hook up spots. Our property also has a yurt, an additional tiny house, a skoolie and a motorhome. We are small town Kansas natives who fell in love with Montana over 15 years ago. This property is equal parts privacy and concience, you can enjoy the peace and quite of nature while also having the ability to hop over a few miles to our little town for groceries, a local beer, or to gas up your car! The Holmestead is a rustic dry cabin on 5 acres nestled between Mill Creek and a seasonal run off stream with easy access to the highway and only a 10 min drive to Missoula. A queen bed, futon and air mattress are available for sleeping! Family and pet friendly property with plenty of space to pitch a tent next to the cabin if you have more guests in your party (tents will be an additional fee, $10 per person in addition to the 4 person cabin max). Excellent cell service if you have Verizon or carriers that pull from those towers. Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! If you have questions about fun things to do please reach out to us! Parking: Reserved parking for guests in the main driveway or in the clearing near the cabin. There is one extra cabin with one queen bed available for an additional fee. It is 4 feet from the homestead. It is only available for use by guests of the homestead cabin, so it is private. There is a gorgeous new shower house built in 2023. It provides a large walk in shower, vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet. Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site. Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer, bugs or field mice at anytime. The Range Riders is a rustic Airbnb lodging option for people who don’t mind communal bathrooms, creaking floors, and thin walls. Range Rider Accommodations Located in the town of Silver Gate, just outside the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park, sits the historic Range Rider Lodge. Construction began on the Range Rider in 1937 after the magnificent Beartooth Highway was completed. Whole logs were brought in from the surrounding forests and oil paintings depicting beautiful mountain scenes were commissioned to line the banisters of the second floor. The Range Rider Lodge is not for people looking for a luxury lodging option. It offers the bare minimum for your stay; the beds are comfortable and made with fresh linens and towels are provided for the bathrooms. The building warms up during the day but cools off at night depending on the outside temperature; to combat this we provide small space heaters in each bedroom.

Our property is close to town but far enough out that you feel secluded. We have wonderful dark nights with amazing views of stars. There is a fishing access a mile down the road, or you can hike to the river which is approximately 1000 feet to the river. The river isn't a real deep river, a lot of people use it to float on tubes, but it has been known to have some nice fish also. The area always gets afternoon wind gusts that happen daily and don't last long but something you'll want to be aware of. On site we have available for rent 2 tiny houses and 4 Rv hook up spots. Our property also has a yurt, an additional tiny house, a skoolie and a motorhome. Absolutely beautiful property. Thoughtful accommodations(games, solar powered flashlight/radio, books, hiking poles). Truly a wonderful experience. We didn’t encounter any bears but we did get to see a few deer. I recommend getting there during the light hours so you can find your way. Easy to follow instruction. Hosts are responsive and welcoming. Propane fire pit was a nice bonus. Our indoor heater was out of propane but we were comfortable. Bathroom and shower are down a little ways from the a-frame but not a bad walk. Definitely set up for a camper ready for a little glamp :)

Kate and Ben's A-frame was awesome. Just a few minutes from the highway, but still very secluded. No other buildings or anything around. The cabin was super cute and cozy. And with the side open, there's a great view of the canyon during the day and the stars at night. Highly recommend!

Clean and very well stocked for a cabin. The sleeping bags and mattresses/cots on site were comfortable and clean. It’s remote, the stream is awesome to have nearby, the night sky is incredible with near zero light pollution, great fire pit, xl picnic table, lots of propane lanterns/burner/grill, I could go on for awhile. I didn’t get a chance to meet the folks who own it but they’re probably really great. Their cabin game is A+. I would note that this property is not for the total novice camper. You’d have to be atleast a decent driver to get a shitty little car or minivan down the path to the cabin but it’s no problem in an suv or truck. The cabin has everything you need to really have a great glamping base camp, your entrusted with a nice assortment of fire, propane accessories, fire pits, wood stoves, sharp stuff etc. Nothing here is stupid proof. Your don’t have running water, there’s no electricity and no fires if things get to dry. That being said it’s got plenty of water from the creek and various buckets, tubs, coolers and such along with a really cool old wash basin thing for your hands. There are a bunch of propane lanterns, mantles and fuel all stocked for light. Great options for cooking, grate over the fire pit, grill, and two large burners inside. We flew out and rented a car to explore the tri state area so we had very little with us. I would recommend a headlamp, some good food and maybe a few cold beers but you don’t need to worry about a whole lot else

This site was beautiful! Lynda was so kind and helpful. There is a nice trail near the cabin and is easily accessible (it is steep though!). The cabin was perfect, the pictures don’t do it justice. Our dog loved the fenced in area. It’s also the perfect place to look at the stars. Highly recommend!

It’s clean and well taken care of. There is also a little seating area down by the creek to hang out and enjoy the sounds of nature. We also saw a ton of deer around. I would 10/10 stay here again.

Super cute cabin with everything I needed. The stream right by it also kept the area nice and cool despite an air temp of 90. The road leading to it had a number of big potholes that would be hard on smaller vehicles, but it also made sure that any traffic going through were going slow. Would absolutely stay here again!!!

We really enjoyed our time here! We stayed a night as part of our honeymoon traveling through Montana. It is very peaceful and quiet, beautiful surroundings with the mountains and creek, and the animals are really sweet and fun to be around. The bed is super comfy and cozy and we slept so well in the A frame. The camper with the shower is really cool and the hot shower was a very nice treat. It was a pleasure meeting and chatting with Geof. Would love to stay here again some day!

Kate's land was beautiful, and the mini a-frame was so sweet and special. There has been a lot of thought put into the space. A nice balance of amenities offered, including yummy instant coffee! (like, really good instant coffee?!), kitchen needs and charcoal grill, hot shower, composting toilet and all the things you need to feel cozy to go to sleep. At the same time, we still lost cell phone service and were out in some degree of wilderness. I would definitely recommend staying here!
