A small cabin sleeps 4 with 2 queen beds and room to stake a tent or park a camper. Sits on 6 acres with a creek bed under large trees and overlooks a meadow. Includes an outhouse, potable water, grill, picnic table and a "smokeless" fire pit. Dishes, utensils, firewood and bedding included. Come stay in MT City; only 5 miles from all historic Helena has to offer! 4 restaurants/bars within walking distance(.5 mi.). 3 large lakes w/in 10 miles with beaches, boating and sight seeing opportunities; the Missouri river within 15 miles for fishing, boating, paddle boarding, hiking and biking. Come relax! Sleeps 4 in beds. Additional guests allowed with permission and fee (tents and/or or campers). While exploring Helena, we recommend the Walking Mall and the lower end of Last Chance Gulch for shopping and dining. You can also do a self guided tour of the Capitol building and then ride the tour train through Helena to get a quick history lesson. If you want to do something outside, we suggest Houser Lake at Lakeside with a bar and grill, a beach, fire pit, volley ball, etc. There is also guided boat rides at Gates of the Mountains on Holter Lake (about 20 miles towards Great Falls). If you are looking to go hiking, Mount Helena is a nice hike, but maybe a bit much for small kiddos, unless you have a backpack. I spoke with The the owner this morning and told her correct size of sheets weren’t there for the futon. The inside had dead bugs in the dishes and pots and pans, the Weber grill for barbecuing, as there is no stove inside, had not been cleaned, and had two wasp nests being built with the bees inside them. The property has a ton of potential. It just needs some TLC.

We loved everything about Date Street cabin. The location was a perfect spot for our Helena adventure. Beautiful little hollow and well appointed cabin. We loved our evening fire and the cool breeze while watching the deer play. We will be back!

The site was lovely. It had more amenities than I was expecting, and I overpacked. There are chairs, tables, plates, utensils, pillows, blankets, games. A large solo stove and porta John. There are houses you can see, and a quiet time, but there is more than adequate space. There are 2 solar panels. The first night, we went to bed at 11pm, turned on fan, charged 2 phones. Power turned off at 1am. Don't know solar, figured it needed to charge. Went out in the morning, came back, still no power. Messaged host in afternoon, host responded and said they would look at it. Had to buy a battery operated fan for sleep, and run car to charge phones. Need them for GPS and maps for being in mountains. Hottest day of the year so far, 90 degrees. Hadn't seen host by 3rd day and checkout, no other communication from them. Since it's an amenity I specifically paid for and got very little use, I'm putting a lower rating.

It was a relaxing stay with everything we needed. I appreciate the supply of water provided as it was exceptionally warm outside. We enjoyed the fire pit and cooked on the grill which was super convenient. Four of us and our dog slept comfortably. Thanks for the affordable stay.

We loved staying at Date Street. The meadow is close to civilization, but feels private and secluded. The cabin is delightful and the hosts have filled it with thoughtful amenities. It was perfect for our family to recreate camping memories now that some of us are aging out of sleeping on the ground. Great hosts, great spot, great views. And we even got a double rainbow. This cabin is adorable and has everything you could possibly need. Perfect mix of creature comforts, convenience and outdoorsy rustic vibes. Quiet sleeping, small creek, open land, perfect for frisbee and chilling. Everything you need for a campfire right at your fingertips.... Hip camp had a missed email communication and Rende was immediately available and very easy to communicate. We will stay here again next time we are in Helena!
