We had the entire place to ourselves for a whole weekend so it was extra private. Plus the porta potty was super clean and nobody else had used it. I communicated with the host about our damaged picnic table and he said it would be replaced for the next guests. He always got back to me about any questions I had. The location near the interstate is great, but the condition of the site is not up to what we have experienced with previous Hipcamp stays. The road in is 2 tracks through unmoved grass. The sites were mowed to roughly a 6" height. The picnic table was broken.

The sites didn't meet our expectations based on previous Hipcamp bookings. Our site was "field mowed" with a broken picnic table. The rest of the camp was unmowed.

Great sites here! There's likely to be a couple other campers there but the sites are arranged around the property with enough space for privacy. The main part of the river is perfect for a nice dip. Only 30 min from home in BZN. We will be back!

This campground has so much going for it. The large secluded campsites offer an incredible amount of privacy, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The views are stunning, and the bird activity in the area was a highlight of our stay.
Unfortunately, it feels like the campground has been neglected. The campsites hadn’t been mowed, and the grass was taller than my knees in many places. Higher than the picnic tables in site one and I’m not sure you’d ever find site four. I even tried to put fuel in and start the brush mower that was on site, hoping to tidy up our area, but couldn’t get it running.
Beyond appearances, the overgrown grass around picnic tables and campsites creates some hazards. It increases the fire risk and can make it difficult to safely walk around, park vehicles, and fully use the campsite.
With just a little routine maintenance—a good mowing and some targeted regular weed control—this could easily become a favorite campground. I’d happily come back again and again if it received a little more attention as I expect more for the reservation price.
Whether you fish or not, this spot is perfect for a relaxing moment away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The spots are spaced out nicely. Beautiful views of the sunset and stars. Simply pristine perfection.

What a wonderful spot with beautiful wildlife and gorgeous scenery

Unfortunately, our family shared a virus that prevented us from using the camp. I made the reservation and should have made contact, but we were trying to get home amid vomit and other ills.

Peaceful location, loved being near the River. Also nice to have a very clean porta-potty near the campsite. Great little shop (walking distance) to grab bread, sweets and goodies). Met the owners briefly when we were there. Very nice people.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The spots are nice and spacious. Being right on the river was a huge plus. We stayed 2 nights in our RV with our dogs and they loved it too! It’s a private piece of land that you open and close the locked gate to so it feels very secluded and safe. You can hear some road noise when you’re outside, but it’s honestly not much. Just a short drive into Three Forks downtown which is adorable, don’t forget to stop at the Farmstand that’s close by the camp! I would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back! We loved camping here right next to the river. It was serene, lovely, and had all we needed. Plenty of flat space to pitch a tent, hang out, and not be bothered by other people. We also loved that the camp space was locked so no one else could get in without the padlock code.

Be sure to follow the suggested route to the campsite. DO NOT USE GOOGLE. YOU MUST ONLY RELY ON HOST'S INSTRUCTIONS. Access from I-90 (Exit 278) ONLY. The route is easy if you follow the host's instructions. If you use Google it will take you on a ridiculous route (via very questionable terrain) it will get you close to the site, but unable to access due to a locked gate 2 miles away.. Also noteworthy, the river/creek has especially low water right now and the river/creek bed is filled with swamp like organic matter that is slimy, stinky, and is a bug haven. The provided outhouse is full and needs serviced/cleaned horribly. The last issue that we were unaware of river closure to fishing, or "Hoot Owl Restrictions" .
Hoot Owl Closures allow for fishing in the early morning, with closures in place from 2:00 p.m. to midnight on the following rivers: Jefferson River (as well as East Gallatin & Gallatin River)
Had the outhouse been clean, the river not been low and if we would have found the site easier we would have had a more enjoyable time. The sites are nice and the provided fire pit and table were useful. The host was quick to respond any inquiry. The site is close to town yet feels far away. Private enough for our needs.
In conclusion: I felt this site was very expensive for the conditions in which we encountered. Earlier in the year, it likely would have been a better value.

We loved it here!! We were a bit worried the bugs would be bad, but they were just fine/normal. Clean facilities, spacious sites, a responsive host and a peaceful, quiet few days with easy access to the river left us quite happy.

We had a great time at Creekside #5. There were several sites next to each other but there were natural barriers like trees and bushes that made it feel secluded. Our site was right next to a nice swimming hole, which the kids loved. This was a nice spot to stay on our way to Yellowstone. Thank Scot!
We had a great stay at this campsite! The location was easy to find, and while the entrance is accessible, those towing longer rigs should plan to take a wide turn into the gate from the left lane — it’s not difficult, just something to be aware of.
Campsites were clearly marked and well-maintained. We stayed near sites 2 and 3, both of which had plenty of space for RVs and room for our dogs to roam. The entire campground was clean and thoughtfully equipped with stainless steel firepits and sturdy wood picnic tables.
One of the best parts was how close the river was — practically at our doorstep — and the whole area was quiet and peaceful. It was the perfect spot to relax and let our dogs off leash.
We’d absolutely come back again!
Exactly as advertised! Each campsite was private, flat, and easy to access. Directions were super clear, which made getting there stress-free. We visited in June and had a great experience overall. There were a few pockets of mosquitoes (totally expected for Montana in early summer), but nothing that ruined the vibe. A peaceful, well-maintained spot—would definitely stay again!
We loved this private campground! Very easy to find and spot #6 was large enough that we could go in a circle with our pop-up, rather than reversing into the campsite. Our spot was very private, we could only see people if we walked to the port-a-potty. The mosquitos were pretty bad, but that’s to be expected next to the water. Bring bug spray and you’ll be fine (our natural bug spray didn’t do the trick). The biggest and only downfall, besides mosquitos, was the price, but we did book last minute, so that could be why it was more spendy. The area itself is beautiful and easy to access. We brought our two dogs that loved to be off leash. We even saw some fireflies!
Beautiful river-side campsites, beats a state park cramped with RV’s and generators any day. Bigs were a bit thick in the evening, but daytime was fine. Oh, and the birds… glorious! Loved our stay. Thank you Scot for being so quick to respond to messages and accommodating a change in our site!

Really beautiful property. Secluded, quiet, and dark. Be prepared for the remoteness, it is dark and quiet if there are no other campers. Hosts quick to respond. Read their instructions on getting there thoroughly. Highly recommended.
