We can’t wait to share our land with you! Get away from it all and get under the Big Sky. Close to the freeway for easy access but adjacent to over 200 acres of beautiful farmland, you’ll experience Montana’s wildlife and have beautiful Mountain views when you stay at Primrose Meadows. There are few trees in the property, it’s mostly rolling hills with some trails to walk and plenty of space between sites! This property has a railroad track that runs next to the property that sometimes toots it’s horn, if you’re a light sleeper this is something you should consider! We are close to Council Grove and Frenchtown Pond which are both great swimming holes! You can also coordinate with us for cross-country skiing or head to Snowbowl for local downhill skiing! We are close to Missoula should you need any services in town.

Loved the views and sunset. A bit of noise from the train but not a deal breaker. Bathroom was clean and campsites were clean and “rustic” . In all it is a great close spot to Missoula.

Great Spot
Very Beautiful area outside of Missoula, 15 minutes from town. Only interacted over the cell phone but Erin was very friendly and even delivered our wood to us.

Awesome Host!
Erin came through when we were in a pinch. My friend and I were traveling across country and our original campsite did not work out. We contacted Erin around 9:30pm and she promptly responded letting us know she could accommodate us! Communication was quick after we booked and she quickly texted us clear instructions and we were able to reach her property which is just a few miles off of the I-90. The campsites were clean, and well spaced out so we didn't feel like we were disturbing everyone else coming in late at night. Thanks for coming through in the clutch Erin!

Primrose Delight
Absolutely great spot located just outside of Missoula, leaving it a perfect day trip for myself. Erin is a wonderful host, who promptly dropped off dry firewood which allowed for a marvelous night on the property. Obviously the train does make some noise through the night but there’s something magical about that! Thanks Erin.

Primrose A-Frame
A-frame did not dissapoin!
Erin’s communication was excellent from the timeliness to thoroughness. The A-frame was a beautiful location on a hillside overlooking the valley set up for spectacular sunsets. Very clean, and and unexpected glamping amenities that allowed me to keep my stuff packed away. Would totally stay here again!

Big Sky
Really spacious sites, part of the 200 acre farm Erin & Arlton own. No trees, no shade - you'll have to bring and make your own. No showers. Bring baby/dude wipes. Sites are not clearly marked. Entrance coming from the East visible (Primrose), coming from the West is not (it is right after street sign Opsahl Trail, and approximately 100 yards before the railroad tracks). Train runs all night snd day at different times - bring ear plugs. Unpaved road of Route 14 from East or West turns into a slimy slippery slope after rain (motorcyclists be aware), hard to navigate on road tires. Road on the campground is not paved, rutted, potholed, some section with larger gravel - again, motorcyclists beware off. I stayed for a whole week, after initially reserving for 2 nights only. Plenty of nature to observe (bald eagle as well as prairie dogs). Nice sunsets. Close to interstate I-90, as well as to gas stations, Montana Wheat Bakery, and Missoula. Enjoy!

10/10 Perfect getaway with views
A private get away, plenty of space, and close by to town. We stayed at the first camp sight (left up the hill) and we had a view of the whole valley. Not a person on site (other camp sites are behind hills and far away). Highly recommend! There is also a nice bathroom just a little walk away (5 minutes). Erin was a joy to talk with as we checked in and is passionate about ensuring a smooth experience for the campers! Overall, a perfect spot and would definitely visit again!

Simply Unforgettable
I absolutely adored staying in this little a-frame! There was fresh drinking water and firewood already at the site when I arrived, along with a camp stove, coffee, and a propane heater. Erin was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Google maps took me right to the gate of the campground, and then I was able to follow the road in directly to the cabin. Since it is stationed up high on a ridge, you can’t really miss it during the day. There is a train that goes by, but it didn’t bother me at all. Vault toilet was kind of far away, but this was truly a unique spot and the view was unforgettable! Prairie dogs everywhere. I even saw a fox running across the fields below. You will not be disappointed staying here!

Great road trip stop
Primrose Meadows was even more beautiful than I expected. The campsites are quite secluded from each other and the train that went through twice was pretty easy to ignore. And Erin was so nice! We will definitely be back.

Primrose is where it’s at!
I have tented it twice, splurged on the A frame once and each stay came with its own glorious sunset, bird-chirp sunrise combo. The place is amazingly quiet minus the occasional train horn and distant cow moo delights. Also, Erin is an attentive host with immaculate vibes. I highly recommend this peaceful respite in the foothills as it is just the perfect distance out of town to recharge before your next adventure.

Primrose Meadows
A work in progress
We were aware that this was " dispersed" camping thus our expectations were moderate. We were the only campers and we were able to find a fairly level campsite to park our camper van. We noted only a few spots had tables but all seemed to have fire pits. Basically camping in a pasture. The site was clean and the vault toilet was similar to a USFS vault toilet and a notch above. No water available but it appears that they have put in a well so maybe there will be water in the future? The road in was dirt and somewhat steep. I wouldn't haul an RV up it. The view from the site was spectacular and the host was very communicative. Cost for value is my only complaint.

Beautiful Openness Camping
We had a wonderful time camping at Erin’s. It is a very simple campsite in the middle of nowhere but that’s what we liked about it. We were the only campers which made it very special. It’s a nice view all around and there are loads of stars at night. A train goes by but we enjoyed the sound of it passing by. Erin is a very accommodating host. If you’re in Montana and headed to Idaho, this worked as a good stopping point. Yellowstone was closed so we had to revise our travel plans and found this calm spot to camp.
