A sanctuary away from everyday life, where you can relax and reconnect with nature. Yurt has electricity, a wood stove for heat in winter, a beautiful outdoor kitchen and bathhouse, and a year round creek nearby. Only 45 minutes from Missoula Montana. Games and books in the yurt. Cedar outhouse. Lots of extras to make for a truly remarkable glamping experience. We offer breakfast and french press organic coffee for an additional fee. Mostly secluded, situated above our garden and raspberry patch, so we are on that side of the garden early on summer mornings.Peaceful Yurt bedroom and separate outdoor kitchen and bathhouse, overlooking our garden and a mountain ridge, on the edge of the national forest.  Come relax and enjoy nature at its finest. Power in yurt, board games, wide variety of interesting books, composting outhouse, creek, fire circle, potable water, picnic table, slow internet (just enough to check email, but not stream movies) and lots of wildlife.  Multiple trailheads in the area, 18 miles from Lolo Hot Springs.  Available year round, firewood for wood stove provided.  Short walk to the yurt from the parking area, in winter bring your snow boots for the walk through the woods. Yurt is located on our homestead, and you will see goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits, all guarded by our livestock guardian dog Huckleberry. We look forward to hosting your getaway! We also offer a delicious sourdough waffle breakfast sandwich with farm fresh eggs, crispy bacon, medium cheddar, side of syrup and french press organic coffee for an additional fee.

Comfy and Roomy yurt in tranquility
What a sweet spot! The yurt is large and roomy and super comfy. Turkeys and deer and goats and chickens and a couple cats and a peaceful spot in the woods. Great stargazing. The outdoor kitchen worked great for me (summertime). The outhouse is all good also (far from the yurt for those that might have trouble walking to it in the night). Matt and Liz were very sweet hosts and I made so much good use of all the peace and privacy.

Beautiful homestead
Our stay although short was incredible the Yurt was comfy and the setting was beautiful. We have every intention of coming back someday and would recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful homestead.

The most perfect getaway. We had the best time at the Sanctuary cooking in the outdoor kitchen, listening to the birds, and learning about Liz and Mike's beautiful homestead. They are kind, welcoming people who lead inspiring lives! Thank you for sharing this land with us!

Lovely Yurt on Beautiful Homestead
We really enjoyed our stay! Clean and comfortable yurt, with access to an outdoor kitchen, bath house, and outhouse. Property owners were very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended the breakfast sandwich - delicious!

Sanctuary is an UNDERstatement!
Absolutely loved our stay, was just what we need to have a mental reset. When we arrived we were greeted by Matt and got a little tour of the property. Welcomed into the yurt with a nice toasty fire already going. The peace and quiet we found there was so nice compared to our city life. We didn't want to leave. The bed was so comfortable and breakfast in the morning was a 10/10! Loved the outdoor kitchen and they had everything that you would need. We will for sure be returning and I think my sister and I will do a weekend trip there due to her in the process of home steading she would love the knowledge of everything that she is already starting. Even the toilet was awesome I was weary of a "compostable toilet" but was so surprised and delighted that there was only a nice smell of cedar when you used it no matter how full. After our two night stay here husband and I have decided on new goal for what we want our life to look like. Thank you again to Matt and Liz for sharing your property with us.
