The stay was great! Easy access and a good spot for a tent. Also super close to the highway to limit detour time while traveling.

The sheep pasture is peaceful. The neighbors were pleasant and being asked to help with the shearing of the sheep was an unexpected pleasure. There's plenty to do in the area and the local services are excellent too.

Me and my roommate stopped here on a roadtrip, showed up late but the directions were beautifully written. They were kind, and had a nice place. It was affordable and a soft place to land for the night. Right off of an interstate but far enough away to not be too noisy. The train did go by a few times and blew the horn but i sleep hard. We had some livestock with us and they were very kind about letting us get them out and graze them. The pasture was plenty big enough to fit the truck and trailer. We just had to get it turned around. We were able to fill up waters for the animals as well.

Our host Lisa was very easy to communicate with, and the directions to our site were easy to follow. We stopped by prior to heading up to Kettlehouse theater, and coming back in the dark after midnight was a breeze. As noted in the hipcamp description, this is a relatively inexpensive dry-camp campsite in a small irrigated pasture with no amenities. Adjoining neighbor's property when you first roll in is extremely untidy and a bit shocking. Also, if you are camping in a tent or soft-sided camper you will continuously hear I-90 rumble by. Overall it worked for us for a very short one-night stay, and we were grateful to have a place to return to late at night.

Excellent communication and a safe place to stay as a solo female traveler just passing through! I couldn’t stay for long since I had work in the morning, but I’d love to come back if I’m in the area again.

We arrived late so this could be our fault, but the listing included this text: For others, a walk in remote woodland camping experience with complete solitude after check in.
We were tent campers and the host never asked what type of campers we were so our only instructions by text were to camp in the appropriate pasture. Which unfortunately wasn’t really mowed and was right off the road.
If you are a trailer or camper, I’d highly recommend this. It would have been perfect. For tent campers I can’t say the same. However for the price you can’t beat it’s location.

Very affordable and simple field. If you're looking for fancy this isn't it, but is a great place for something cheap and near Bonner/Missoula. The process and communication was great with Lisa. The neighbors house could look concerning to some but we had no issues and even spoke with them a bit.

Great overall experience. Very close to the highway. We came for a concert at kettle house and this was a short drive from the venue. We dropped one car there and then came back to stay. It was lovely to have a place secured as we didn’t have a lot of time to look for campsites pre-show.
I was a little confused, this is my confusion, not hosts fault, about pasture or orchard being reserved for us. I guess it was both? Wasn’t sure if we left our stuff at orchard if we’d be taking up a spot someone else was using.
Convenient for a short stay.

It was a beautiful area, and the hosts were so nice! Loved the sheep and how close it is to town. It’s more of a kids-camping-in-the-backyard campsite than a remote, mountain homestead, so do expect highway and train noise, and the neighbors are basically right next to the campsite. Overall really enjoyed but might not stay again

Very beautiful land. We slept soundly and woke up to a beautiful sunrise. Lisa also let us park our camper there for an extra two hours while we went into missoula to run erranda. Great location not too far from town. Would stay here again if we ever pass through the area!

Directions to this location are good. However look for the inverted “L” pole holding the swinging mailboxes. Sheep were curious and quiet. Location definitely suited my needs.

Creepy vibes. There are several cameras aimed at the camping area. Trash and single wide trailers on each side of the field. When we arrived the neighbor was working on his car about 15 ft away from us the whole time we set up. Then we noticed the cameras pointing in every direction and the trashy lots on each side. So we packed up and did not stay, purchased a hotel room in Missoula instead. I would not recommend this place. We didn't feel safe here.

It was a pretty good spot. I didn’t expect it to be so loud but that’s on me obviously it would be loud it’s on a highway. The sheep were very cute and friendly. And across the highway we’re some horses we fed apples too. The owner was also very friendly.

Very convenient location off i90 but not very nice or private. The field is surrounded by houses and shared with a mobile home making it extremely lacking in privacy. Instructions were ok but not sure I’d recommend this one. Would plan to stay at one of the number of state parks in the area if I did this trip again

A great place to stay for a night or two! The directions for which pasture to sleep in were a bit confusing but the host was responsive when we needed help. Highway and train noise was fairly loud but manageable. Overall we loved our stay with the sheep!

The accomodations were basic and exactly what we were looking for. Lisa was casual and inviting when I contacted about our arrival plans. It is a great place to set up for a few days if visiting the area, or just off the highway if needing an overnight. Our children enjoyed the animals and highway noise was minimal.

Great little spot! East, quick camping right off 1-90. IF you are camping in a structure with screen (tent, pop up, etc…) it is noisy. Trains, highway, roosters in the morning in the field. Just a heads up! Otherwise super easy to access and fun to watch the sheep herd!

Site had a nice creek in back and the animals were fun to watch. The host was freindly and helpful. However, the was animal poop everywhete and the freeway noise was loud.

The animals are very friendly and plentiful. Turkeys greeted us, chickens flocked and geese gandered.
We slept well - I only heard the train twice; once as I was falling asleep and once during an early morning bathroom trip.
This location is very handy to I-90.

We had a great time at Sleep with the Sheep! The campsite is close to Missoula and has a lot of fun animals. We woke up and hangout with the turkeys which followed us around. You can hear the main freeway from the spot but it isn't too loud. I would recommend this place :)

Super easy to access and quick friendly host replies. I would recommend to stay here! Close access to the freeway which was good for us since we were just sleeping on our way to Washington.
