4 nights at Triple Bridges Campground

It was a nice campsite! As a kayaker this is the perfect location for camping if you want to paddle the Gorge. It's at the put in for the lower gorge. Thr bathroom was clean. The downsides are you can’t do a campfire and there is highway noise along with trains. Overall I liked the campsite though.

This is a BEAUTIFUL place to stay that is very close to west glacier. The camping area is spacious, the pond is so peaceful, and they have lots of boats/kayaks that you can use. Potable water is available and they have a kettle with a stove for use. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area.

This land is quite expansive and has beautiful views of the mountains. We had a great experience here and would definitely come back!!

2 nights at ❤️ Glacier Park HipCamp 🏕️

We had the most amazing time. The pod is adorable. The mattress super comfortable. It’s super quiet. There’s a gazebo with a bbq and games like cornhole. We took the boat out on the pond and even ran down the zip line (intended for kids but adult approved). Jake was a great host. Would 100% recommend.

This was our first time hipcamping. Stayed 2 nights. Erin was super quick to respond when we had questions. Nice, private area with easy access to Missoula and great mountain views. We were in a small travel trailer (18’). Had no concerns with the train passing nearby. We’d stay again!

Great spot with great mountain views, close to the highway yet so quiet with only the beautiful bird calls to be heard. We enjoyed the private setting, huge pine trees and the space for our dog to stretch his legs. The bathroom was clean and we really appreciated the recycling bin in addition to the garbage bin. The host met us as we drove up and directed us to our space and answered all our questions.

Wonderful experience up on the top of the meadow at Erin's. Campsites well spaced out so even though there are no trees you feel as if you are in your own world. Firewood delivered to your campsite is a nice add-on I would recommend!

This was my second stay at Primrose Meadows, and not my last! I love the wide open spaces, the space between campsites, the view of the big sky, and the fact that I can have my dog there with me. The host was so great in responding quickly to my texts and questions, and I even walked away with the most beautiful dozen eggs that I made into a delicious omelette the next morning. I love this place and will definitely be returning.

Excellent camp sites with many to choose from, all having benches and fire pits. I camped 2 nights with friends in tents and had a wonderful experience. All sites are well spaced apart from each other and various small hills adding extra privacy. Easily accessible and very fast and easy check-in on the app. Train rolls through but is hardly noticeable, rather pleasant with my experience. 10/10, will camp here again.

What a special place! A perfect place to set up camp for a night. It was serene and peaceful. The train wasn't as disruptive as I thought it would be. The wildlife viewing was incredible! If you are a bird watcher, this is a great place! I camped at spot 1 which had an amazing sunset. The place felt safe as a solo camper.

My stay was in the off-season for this area, but still I was blown away that I stumbled across an affordable place to stay this close to the national park. The place is set up nicer than many campgrounds that I’ve been to with great, clean fire pits and picnic tables and even a beautifully constructed vault toilet (seriously). You’ve got easy road access but you’re also behind a small hill so the noise is in no way bothersome or even noticeable. There’s a fair bit of room to walk around and the host has left some paddle boards and a small boat for use. I would easily stay here again.

Great view and local wildlife. This is my second time camping at this HipCamp. The accommodations are nice with electric hookup, a nice fire pit and a large outhouse.

This is my all time most favorite place for van camping & I have been a repeat visitor, with aim for returning at least a couple times a year (if only I could ride my Harley up that gravel & dirt, it’d be more often). The surrounding farm/ranch lands, the proximity to downtown Missoula (I make my way out there for music often) & the sprawl for my pup to be ‘free’, so excellent!!!

1 night at Yellowstone City Guest Ranch

We have stayed at all three of Josh’s cabins up historic Emigrant Gulch and it’s always been a good time. Nothing but beautiful trees, mountains and silence. The cabins are nice and always have plenty of firewood to keep you warm through the night (we have stayed up there twice now in the winter with temps below 20 degrees). The outdoor range is a plus and the compost toilets are sooo much better than a classic outhouse pit. Always a pleasure to stay in one of these cabins with this Looke’s Mill being the most spacious and family friendly. Josh and fam’s hospitality and quick communication is excellent.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were recently driving from East Coast to West Coast. We tried to camp as much as possible and enjoy the beauty of states like MT. However, Nov is a difficult month to find camping spots. We hadn’t had good luck finding a spot since we got into MT. But on the second day when we got to Missoula, we found Primrose. It was exactly what we were looking for. It’s close to Missoula but far enough out to feel remote. Great views of the hills. Beautiful spots. The camp host was so nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place. Also, highly recommend the fresh eggs on offer. Best we’ve had in months!

Weekend Trip to Wineglass Ranch

We were only there for a short stay - a place to truck-camp overnight before getting back on the road. We showed up after dark on a cold and very windy night and our host came right out to greet us. The heat was on for us in the barn's bathroom and laundry room and all amenities were as advertised. We had a brief but great stay and would like to have seen this lovely property under a little more daylight. I'd be remiss not to mention the kitten that came out of the barn and hung around underfoot as we hurried to make our bed in the truck and get out from the weather. We almost let it come in and sleep with us. Thanks to our host. It was a great stay and we'd come back.

Bitterroot Panorama

See the extras section for details.** Resting in the foothills of the sapphire mountains, just outside the town of Stevensville Montana, this beautiful 20 acre property is conveniently located halfway between Hamilton and Missoula; it is also a good midway point between Yellowstone and Glacier national parks. The outdoor activities are endless. Biking, hiking, fishing, swimming, hunting, trail riding, snow skiing and more are all within reach. Deer, turkey, osprey, killdeer, nighthawks, and eagles frequent the property as well as the occasional elk herd; and the Lee Metcalf wildlife refuge is about 15 minutes away. The property sits about 400’ above the valley floor; giving spectacular panoramic views of the bitterroot valley and mountains, as well as incredible sunsets. The paved road ends about 1 mile before the property, the remaining mile is a gravel road. There is also a one lane bridge right before you get to the property. Firewood is available for use at no charge. Sewer hookup has not been run to the site yet but if you have a portable tank, or want to pull the camper over to the house, it can be dumped as needed beside the garage; just ask and I can show you where the pipe is. There is a nema 14-50 hookup providing 50 amp power at the site; if needed I do have a 50 to 30 amp adapter you can borrow during your stay. Water hookup is also available at the site, but may be limited in freezing weather. If temperatures are to cold we can turn on the water to fill your tank as needed and then blow the line back out. If you need to borrow a potable water hose let me know as i keep those in the garage unless needed. There is a non-potable water hose that is available at the site, with a spray nozzle, incase you need to rinse or wash off gear, vehicles, etc. SpaceX Starlink high speed internet is available via WiFi. You can also charge your electric vehicle, if needed, with the power at the campsite or I have another nema 14-50 plug available at the garage of the main house. Be sure to let me know if you will need the plug at the garage so I can make sure it is accessible. Miner Creek Campground

Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove just across a log bridge over Miner creek. Further down the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked way back in a secluded cottonwood grove. The campgrounds are just 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. Miner Creek Campground 1 has a picnic table, fire ring (bring your own firewood), two hammocks, solar lighting, a small portable charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) and an outhouse. Although you can car camp at the Campground 1, please note that the camper parking spot is just off the driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. Campsite 3, The "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite, is just that! It's a 1-2 minute hike from the parking spot on an uneven trail through the trees. It has a fire ring (bring your own firewood), two camp chairs, solar lighting, and a small portable grill (bring your own charcoal). Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready, to explore and do not need to be close by your car. Make sure you arrive before dark because although the trail is lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way through the trees. The trail is tight and uneven and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in the "Creekside Oasis" campsite. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. For both sites we recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight. Both sites share a portalet that is located in a common parking area to the east of Campsite 1.

Enter just in front of the Parked RV and make your way into and through the field.

Come enjoy peace and quiet in the beautiful meadows near our home. We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). Wake up to the impressive scenery of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and the sun shining over the Madison range on this nearly 50 acre farm in McAllister, Montana. You'll be camped in a wide open grass pasture JUST OFF Hwy 287, 1.5 miles from Ennis Lake and the Madison River which offers some of the most diverse fly fishing in Montana. The Madison River runs through this scenic valley and is flanked by the towering Madison, Gravelly and Tobacco Root ranges which are all visable from our campsites. Our land is filled with wildlife including fox, coyotes, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, osprey, deer and antelope. Horses in the pasture to the North and cattle to the South. Crash in our field and you're only about 1 hour from Yellowstone, without the Yellowstone prices and congestion. The town of Ennis is 7 miles and the best steakhouse in the valley is 2 minutes north up HWY 287. Plan an easy afternoon trip to the historic Old West town of Virginia City (20 miles). We are surrounded by endless trails for hiking, 4 wheeling and trail riding. Big Sky Ski Resort is an hour and 30 minutes over the Madison Range. Take an evening to go to Norris Hotsprings (9 miles). Lewis and Clark Caverns one of the most highly decorated limestone caverns in North America is only 28 miles away. The list of activities goes on and on, but there is always the option to just relax and feel comfortable doing nothing. Vehicles will stay in the designated parking are and campers will walk to any area of the pasture they wish to set up camp! -This is a field, a pasture where grass grows to feed cattle. The views of the Madison Range and Tobacco Root Mountains is incredible. There are a few areas of trimmed grass, but for the most part this is a pasture with long grass. This area is not maintained like a KOA. This is not at all what would call "roughing it" but I grew up in Montana and we have different standards here. -We ask that you please give room to other campers, you'll have so much room it should never be an issue. -There is now a porta potty and fire pit! both of which are for all campers to use. Please do not set up camp right next to the firepit, right next to the porta potty or in the parking area. -This is a pasture alongside the road in Montana. There are no parking lot lights. There is no wifi. There are no trees or shelters. It is not private because it is an open field along HWY 287. That being said there are rarely ever more than 1-2 camping groups at a time. -The Campfire is communal. Everyone needs to be able to enjoy. There are several area to set up camp. We usualy will only have 1-2 campers at any given time. The most we have ever had at once is 4. -You're free to walk around and find your perfect spot. You can walk through the tall grass or you can camp in one of the spots that is trimmed down. You have that freedom! We trim down the "road", the firepit, a couple campsites and the area around the garbage and porta potty. We dont want to completely mow down our pasture. We like to keep it wild. When Hipcampers are not using the area its a place for deer, antelope, cyotes and sandhill cranes. If you want to have a campground with manicured walkways/camping spots this is not the green pasture for you. 🇺🇸 July 4th update FYI the 2 track road down to the canvas wall tent has irrigation water covering it. Don’t go down the path to the tent, you will get stuck. There are plenty of places to camp without driving down toward the canvas tent. There is a saw horse blocking the road. Please do not move the saw horse or drive down the road.

I am one mile from Hwy 93 so you can hear traffic noise sometimes. Planes do fly over once in awhile as well. This is a dry camp and rustic camping, sites are fairly far apart. Some of my camp spots are on rough terrain. I always suggest you get out and walk around to see what you can manage with your vehicle. Spring fed pond on property for fishing, swimming and adventures. My pond is spring fed, which means that is goes up and down with the seasons and run off from the snow in the mountains and collects cotton from the trees when they shed. So as the summer goes on the pond levels go way down, please be aware of that.
