The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Daisy is a pit mix and Frodo is a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix livestock guardian dog. They are friendly and like to hang out in my fenced backyard. Frodo does bark at night to ward off bears and other unwanted visitors. There is also a train nearby that runs all hours of the night. If you're looking for lodging in Coram, you're going to hear the train. For these reasons, earplugs are provided. In addition to hosting Hipcampers, I'm a host on Workaway, and so there may be workstay volunteers on property as well during your stay. If so they also use the bathroom facilities but they share my outdoor kitchen with me. I'm in the process of developing the property into a permaculture homestead, expanding my garden, and doing more natural building projects. If you share these interests be sure to let me know!

If you're looking for lodging in Coram, you're going to hear the train. For these reasons, earplugs are provided. In addition to hosting Hipcampers, I'm a host on Workaway, and so there may be workstay volunteers on property as well during your stay. If so they also use the bathroom facilities but they share my outdoor kitchen with me. I'm in the process of developing the property into a permaculture homestead, expanding my garden, and doing more natural building projects. If you share these interests be sure to let me know!

Go left and you will see the Tipi. Just go in and enjoy. We have no formal check in. Just show up and enjoy.

We spent 3 nights in the yurt here. It rained quite a bit and the temperatures got pretty chilly, but the yurt had an electric heater, that kept us more than comfortable. 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and our dog. We had plenty of room outside to cook and hang out. The yurt was thoughtfully arranged to feel plenty spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. You cannot beat the location of this hipcamp. We spent 3 days in the park, but it is conviently close to Kalispell and Whitefish as well. We will definitely stay again.

I am very grateful to my past self for unintentionally arranging my travel plans such that I was able to spend a leisurely afternoon & evening plus a nice slow morning enjoying all that The Mooseshroom has to offer. Terri was an incredible host, and my little dog and I felt so welcome and relaxed. It was truly a rejuvenating stay and a must-visit in the Glacier area.

We loved our stay in the tube site! It was perfect for us, since we flew in and didn’t want to travel with much camping gear. Plus it’s bear proof! The on-site mercantile had everything you might need, including coffee, bear spray, solar showers, and firewood. Jake was super accommodating and even heated up water for our forest shower a couple of times. The location was also perfect for accessing the park, and we enjoyed free coffee (with our own cup) each morning. We recommend Josephine’s for dinner just down the road.

Shayne and Ryder are great people! Very friendly and they made sure that we had everything we needed when we checked in. Shayne even took our son to feed the horses and play with the goats while we unloaded our stuff. The Airstream was comfy and clean and Ryder made sure we knew how to work everything. It's very close to a couple different parks on the lake for swimming, fishing, etc. We'd definitely stay with them again!
