Attractions: Walking distance to forestry service roads. 15 minutes to the Missoula Airport and an additional 10 minutes to the heart of Missoula and all it has to offer. If you are looking for more adventure there is always an endless amount of recreation near, whether you want to drive 5 minutes to mountain bike or 3 hours to Glacier National Park, there is something for everyone! Parking: Reserved parking for guests in the main driveway or in the clearing near the cabin.
Water: Portable toilet onsite, sealson warm shower and sink also available, we recently upgraded to a JOOLCA hot water system so guests can have running water and a warm outdoor shower. We provide 5 gal of potable water in the colder months and have running water nearby for easy refill of water containers if needed in the warmer months.

Our land is 24 acres set against Cinderella Mountain, facing the Clark Fork River. There are two houses and a yurt on the property. The yurt is a beautiful open space utilized weekly for local yoga classes and private events. The space is therefore not set up with bedding; guests should bring their own camping pads, cots, sleeping bags, etc. A pro to staying here is that the space comes stocked with yoga props for stretching in the evening while you arrive, sitting and gathering, or maybe doing a private yoga class before you leave in the morning. Feel free to message us and book a private sound therapy, Reiki or yoga session while you are at the property! There is nice view of the valley surrounding, and a trail leading up into the woods behind the yurt to walk on. Wild turkeys, deer, elk and eagles right outside your door. There is a woodstove inside for cooler nights that we can instruct folks who feel comfortable to use, and a small firepit out front.
Facilities: Outside, in front of the yurt, there is a back-to-back outhouse and hand washing station available for guests, stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap. An insulated out-building sits just to the west of the yurt entrance, right where the dirt driveway turns toward the yurt itself when you drive up. The out-building is equipped as a kitchenette, and includes a refrigerator, electric kettle and coffee maker. Please note: there is no running water inside this building, however we will have a 5 gallon jug of well water set up in a water dispenser for you to access there. We ask guests to clean up after themselves in these spaces. The handwashing area is set up for rinsing off dishes while you're here as well. We will make sure to provide a dish tub, cleaning supplies, enough dishes, utensils and mugs for up to 8 people (or compostable picnicware if necessary at the time of rental).
Note about the train: There are train tracks that run along the river in front of our property. The tracks are dropped down low enough that you can just see the top of the train, with trees also blocking the sound. The train will only sound its horn here if there are animals on the tracks, a fairly rare occurrence after four years living here. All in all, it isn't bothersome feature to most who stay, and we've had positive feedback from renters. It still feels fair to note.

This hard sided campsite hosts a Remodeled Dry cabin with Power and Queen-Double bunk bed, dining table with chairs and a covered porch. The Second Living Unit is a well kept 2018, Jayco travel trailer with slide-out that sleeps 4 comfortably (up to 6), and has full utilities (water/power/sewer) and includes A/C, 3 burner range, microwave, bathroom with standup shower (5 gallon RV water heater), outdoor shower, private master with RV Queen mattress. The rear living setup allows for a large living/dining/kitchen area. The futon folds down into a full bed, and the dinette drops into a double futon 4” pad for extra campers or sleeping separately.
This private parcel shares a forest service boundary on one side, and is adjacent the road on the other, but the cabin and RV are set as close to the FS boundary as possible and there is a large, 1 acre clearing with plenty of additional parking areas. Enjoy the forest service access and nearby Jim Creek with public access just across the bridge. Check out the pair of nesting Common Loons at Peck Lake. Get out of the tent and enjoy a cozy night inside. Outdoor string lighting and an adjacent forest service campfire ring makes your evenings something to remember.

Notes: There is plenty of additional parking, but no additional RV hookups. Tent camping is not recommended at this site, nor is outdoor cooking since there is a high density of bears in the area, but campers are welcome to stay and there is room inside the dry cabin for your gear! If additional, covered storage is needed for 1 or 2 bikes, please contact the host for access to the small storage shed. Bring your bear spray. Between the mapping and the directions given, it was easy to get to. I was on a cross country trip and got in at just about midnight on a rainy night, but still had no problem finding it. Nice and private, perfect for my dogs to run around while I set up camp in my truck. About 12 minutes from the freeway, I enjoyed driving just enough off the main road to get to some seclusion.

We loved this peaceful place! The Airstream is beautifully done and very comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and loved every second of it! We mostly hung out by the outside fireplace soaking up the views and fresh air. Our dogs were in heaven and it was nice they could just hang out and be dogs:)
The location makes you feel like you’re away from it all, yet you’re close enough to Missoula to get anything you need. Corey is a great host and made sure we were comfortable. We definitely feel well rested and restored after our stay. I can’t recommend this place enough, we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Mission Falls Ranch
Geof really is a super-star host and his land is a dream! We stayed in the A Frame right next to the creek and listened to the water and owls hooting at night. We loved watching piggies, petting donkeys and playing with the sweet dogs. Geof was super accommodating and we can’t wait to go back!

The dome glamping experience was wonderful! The interior of the bison decor was very cute and the perfect set up for my two gal friends and I. Beautiful view of the plains and river, both from inside the dome and the wooden porch it sits on. The propane heater was much appreciated, and took the chill off inside the dome. Trina was a terrific host, greeting us when we first arrived and showed us to our dome. She made sure we had what we needed, and has done a great job setting up her property. Fantastic getaway for us gals!!

I ended up at Cody’s at kind of the last second and he and his wife were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The space is really clean and well kept. Me and my dogs slept great. I would have booked another night but had plans for the next evening already. I highly recommend this spot - a steal for the price.

1 night at Off The Beaten Path Glampground
I booked at the last moment, late in the evening and Trina (and her awesome son, Steele) was there to greet us right as we arrived. They showed us to the dome and brought us a several gallon jug of water to use.
The buck dome was perfect with comfortable beds. There was a BBQ available to cook our dinner on so we didn't have to dig out our camp stoves. Clean shared portapotty and hot shower a short walk away. Trina thought of everything needed for a nice glamping stay on a gorgeous property.
The views do not disappoint and Trina was so fun to chat with and filled with fantastic recommendations for places well outside of montana that are on our itenerary. Next time we come to Montana we will be sure to book a stay.

I absolutely loved staying in the A-frame. It was comfy and warm even on a chilly night. The shower/dressing room trailer was very handy. Having the creek right there is a bonus. Geoff is a very gracious host. I'd definitely stay there again!

My wife and I loved staying in the Bigfoot dome. We wish we started out road trip with this stay instead of making it our last stop so we could stay longer. The views are absolutely incredible and there were cows and deer wandering right outside. The sunrise and sunsets are amazing and the stars at night are incredible. Host is very nice and informative about things to do in the area and we'll definitely recommend and visit again.

Really enjoyed the Bison Dome! 4 of us stayed and we were very comfortable and had lots of elbow room. We were fortunate enough to enjoy an amazing thunder and lightning storm and the dome provided outstanding views of the lightning! Morning views were incredible. The deer were a bonus. We will definitely be back to check this out again. Trina is an awesome host for sure.

2 nights at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping
We loved our time at Sanctuary Farm. The farm itself is on a private road, off a minor country road in a heavily treed area - The drive there is spectacular. You know you are in for something special! The yurt was placed well away from the owner's home, which gave lots of privacy and the night sky is DARK, so perfect for stargazing. The composting sawdust outhouse was a short walk from the yurt & surprisingly pleasant - no odor or flies and plenty of ventilation. 1000 times nicer than a port-o-potty. The solar heated camp shower provided by the host worked great. Just be sure to shower in the evening after the water has had all day to heat up! The optional breakfast was delish - definitely worth the cost & we ate out for our other meals, so never used the outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend it to others seeking a stay off-the-beaten path.

Big Larch Campground
Good space between sites well maintained, stayed for one night. We thought there might be a nice spot to hang out at the lake but it was just a boat ramp. Still a nice spot we saw lots of deer and some ground squirrels

This site sits right in the river. There are 3 sites in total, and a day use site at the entrance. There are bbq fire pits, picnic tables, and vault toilets. Lots of big, beautiful trees. The Thompson River is amazing for taking a dip or fishing. Definitely a must visit! First come first serve, seasonal. Opening date is usually Memorial Day!

This just made a list of "hidden gem" campgrounds in Montana. Its a National Forest Campground ON the highway at a rest area "forested." And so, no one appears to know it is there... It is almost always very lightly populated. In fact on one side they closed a loop but there are still like 77 sites. A tunnel goes under the highway to connect the loops. One is on the river side and gets most of the campers. Great fishing area at exits. The other side has a dump station, potable water and flush toilets by the campground host site. For the money, this is a hard to beat National Forest campground. Down the road 15 minutes is a great steakhouse and you are only 35 minutes from Missoula and the main shopping area. Things to do see above...

Loved this campground! We camped right above the river and the views were amazing. Warning, there is a train track across the river and a train passed by both nights we were there. The train seems much closer than it is - tremendous noise and the ground shook! Then it was gone. Just a bit of added excitement.

Hello, I have always loved camping at Big Larch. We camped up there on the June 25th, 26th & 27th. They gave us the handy cap because all the spots were saved for people coming up on Friday. Normally we wouldn't have but we had drove around for 4 hours in & out of campgrounds. I didn't think they could be saved without paying & you just put chair in spot. Not fare to people looking to camp that day. The out houses were very bad, no one cleaned them the whole time we were there. This has been one of my favorite camp grounds until this summer. Its to bad after all the work that has been done to make the camp ground a beautiful place to camp.

We have stayed here three times in the past and will be back in June 2019 for three nights. Obviously, we like it.
We travel the US in a rented motorhome and like to break our 7/8 week trips with a little more luxury and a solid floor occasionally, not too mention a decent sized bathroom.
This place is absolutely beautiful. Amazing surroundings and pretty buildings. The accommodation is rustic yes, but spacious and comfortable.
Managers and volunteers friendly and charming.
On most of our stays it has been extremely quite and we have had the whole site more or less to ourselves.
A bonus is the short walk to the Casino, restaurant, store complex. It's nice to have somewhere to eat without having to cook.
Definitely recommended.

Canoeing this gorgeous lake is in your interest. Beautiful water lily patches dot the edges.

Wonderful little campground, just off the highway but totally quiet - very convenient if you're just passing through. Self-serve check-in, very clean latrines.
