Forest Service Boundary property. Campsite with 2 Units totaling 2 queens, 1 full, 2 doubles. Adjacent the Mission Mountains, Peck Lake Road is a rare foothills through route with access to hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and exploring! Along the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route GDMBR (bikepacking route) on Peck Lake Road, in the Swan Valley, Montana, a short walk to Jim Creek for a crisp plunge. This hard sided campsite hosts a Remodeled Dry cabin with Power and Queen-Double bunk bed, dining table with chairs and a covered porch. The Second Living Unit is a well kept 2018, Jayco travel trailer with slide-out that sleeps 4 comfortably (up to 6), and has full utilities (water/power/sewer) and includes A/C, 3 burner range, microwave, bathroom with standup shower (5 gallon RV water heater), outdoor shower, private master with RV Queen mattress. The rear living setup allows for a large living/dining/kitchen area. The futon folds down into a full bed, and the dinette drops into a double futon 4” pad for extra campers or sleeping separately. This private parcel shares a forest service boundary on one side, and is adjacent the road on the other, but the cabin and RV are set as close to the FS boundary as possible and there is a large, 1 acre clearing with plenty of additional parking areas. Enjoy the forest service access and nearby Jim Creek with public access just across the bridge. Check out the pair of nesting Common Loons at Peck Lake. Get out of the tent and enjoy a cozy night inside. Outdoor string lighting and an adjacent forest service campfire ring makes your evenings something to remember. Minutes to other local trailheads and public land and water way access. Notes: There is plenty of additional parking, but no additional RV hookups. Tent camping is not recommended at this site, nor is outdoor cooking since there is a high density of bears in the area, but campers are welcome to stay and there is room inside the dry cabin for your gear! If additional, covered storage is needed for 1 or 2 bikes, please contact the host for access to the small storage shed. Bring your bear spray. Campfires allowed

Firepit. The fire ring is on national forest and subject to the rules and restrictions of the Flathead National Forest, Swan Lake Ranger District. Please do not start a campfire if there is a fire ban or restriction. Generally, from July through October, there are strict fire bans in place, but conditions change daily so consult the USFS website and generally use your own judgement. Campfires should be put out and doused with water, you are responsible for your own fire and host takes no responsibility or liability for any gross negligence or willful misconduct on your part.f

Off leash, on leash. There is a large 1/2 acre grassy parcel, and it borders forest service. It’s great for dogs but this is part of a one square mile section or private property surrounded by forest service land. A large chunk of that private is a youth camp, and there is a small street of houses along the creek. Generally we never see anyone, but there are other people in the area, so please be safe with your pets. There is also always the risk of wildlife encounters.

Potable water available

Spigot, pump or well. This is a new well that has been tested and is safe for drinking, but we filter going into the RV and there tends to be sediment from the spigot when you first open it.

Showers available

Hot water . Indoor RV Standup shower and RV 5 Gallon Water Heater. Short recovery time, but can’t run continuously for very long.

Bins available

Trash bin. All Trash must be stored Inside in the provided cans. Please Keep the site free of trash/food-spills/smells to reduce the chance for bear encounters. There is a large can with a lid in the dry cabin, and smaller cans under the RV sink and next to the cabin cabinets. To reduce the bear attractants after you checkout, when you depart if you are in a vehicle (not a bike), please take the trash with you and let the host know as soon as you are leaving camp so they can get cleaning.

Cooking equipment present

Private, oven, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, freezer, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Because of the density of bears in our forest, we ask that you Please cook indoors in the RV, keeping any food prep, mess or spills in the kitchen. There is a microwave and mini fridge as well in the dry cabin, and both the cabin and the RV have a dining table for 4.
