These are newly developed sites (2021) nested on the back of our property about 200ft from our house on a dead-end road. We have rural neighborhood vibe, with a 2 mile scenic paved walking path nearby. We have newly planted trees and shrubs, so not much afternoon shade. With the open areas sunrises and sunsets are fantastic!
Both back in sites are 40’ in length with extra vehicle parking available. Please confirm your measurements before booking. There is enough room to easily pull in and then back into your spot. Ideal for Class-A motor-homes, fifth wheels, tent trailers, travel trailers, pick-up campers and self-contained van campers. Additionally, 1 tent is allowed at each site. Because there are no bathrooms we are unable to accept TENT ONLY camping at this time.
Both campsites have full hookups including artisan well water, septic, with 50 amp electric on site #2 and 30 & 50 amp electric on site #3. Garbage receptacle is located by the east side of the greenhouse.
Plenty to see and do in the Flathead Valley. Lots of wonderful local restaurants, pubs, breweries and wineries. Tons of trails to hike, rivers to raft, lakes to boat and parks to stroll. We have a list of our favorites, don’t hesitate to ask!

The property is quiet and private, located directly behind a beautiful Montana style resort (Haymoon Resort). You drive down an enchanting gravel road to the last property on the road.

I am a professional dog sitter as well and I would be happy to watch your pets while you are away adventuring in Glacier National Park or any other long days away from camp. Appreciate all this beautiful valley has to offer. A breathtaking drive to Glacier National Park West Entrance is 30 miles. Enjoy a summer evening watching the Glacier Range Riders play baseball or an event at Majestic Valley Arena just 5 miles from the farm. 2 flat, gravel back-in campsites available with 30/50 amp power, water and sewer hook ups. We can accommodate trailers including tow vehicle up to 62 feet long with slide outs. Sites come with a fire pit and picnic table. Play cornhole on the grass area next to the campsites. Enjoy the white tailed deer, bald eagles, geese, turkeys and other wildlife that roam through the property.
There is a small cabin next to the campsites with occupants. We also live on the farm and are happy to answer any questions you have.

Weather permitting I hope to open April 1st for you boon dockers that don't require water or sewer, sorry NO water supply until warmer weather come what June 1st.

This was our 2nd stay at The Back of the Moon. First time we stayed at the Wolf Moon site and this time at Buck Moon. Wolf Moon is a little bigger with a picnic table for hanging out and eating outdoors. Buck Moon is a little smaller but still plenty of space. It is a peaceful spot and sits up on the hill with a filtered view of the pond at the nearby resort. Carolyn is an outstanding host, very helpful and gracious. Highly recommend!

Our little family (2adults, 2 young kids, 2 labradors) absolutely loved Carolyn’s spot, such a great find! We towed our camper up to Wolf Moon and stayed for the Whitefish Trailblazer races in the fall. The property was beautiful and secluded. Tucked into the woods behind the Haymoon resort. The property was easy to find via google maps, and Carolyn was super responsive (even well before we booked!). The site has a 30/20 amp hookup and water available, just brought our hose to hook up & close to a free RV dump in town at the Cenex. Honestly the perfect little weekend, even with the colder weather & rain. Would 100% recommend this spot & Carolyn as a host, she was wonderful!

The site fit my needs for a place to camp while reffing soccer at the nearby Smith fields. The two sites are next to each other, but the other one was empty so I had plenty of privacy. The toilets were clean even if one was about out of paper. You can hear highway 40 due to the proximity, but it was not bad just some white noise. I would return.

This was a great stay at wolf moon. Site was easy to find and pull into. Carolyn was easy going and helpful with all that we needed but was not overbearing and respected our privacy. The proximity to the road made it easy to get in and out of for a quick one night stay. The area was clean and quiet.

We found Richard’s RV site just as expected from his pictures and description. It’s was very pleasant to have a place all to ourselves and an added bonus to be greeted by his beautiful friendly dogs. We sat at the picnic table just under the trees and enjoyed the view of the mountains. His place was just 20 minutes to the entrance of Glacier Natl park where we spent 3 days. And we were also able to enjoy restaurants and live music in Columbia Falls at a fine place suggested by Richard. We will definitely plan to stay here again next time we visit the area.

What a peaceful, quiet spot that is in SUCH a great location between Whitefish, Kalispell, and Columbia Falls (oh! And Glacier). Carolyn was a gem. Super responsive, was so thoughtful giving me recs of what I could do in the area with my dog 🐾. We got our morning & evening walks in on the packed gravel road leading to the camping spot, going past horses and the cabins of the resort nearby. Felt super safe. And, though they were eating Carolyn’s beautiful flowers, the deer in the morning sun munching nearby was such a treat. Would 1000% recommend.

Upon entering Firefly Horse Co, we were greeted by the site of all the friendly goats, chickens, and HORSES! Julie's property was immaculate....each site set up with fire pits, picnic tables, and portable trailer with shower and toilets. Very Nice. The facilities were extremely well kept.

Deer Park was surprisingly peaceful being conveniently located close to town and Glacier! The campsite was extremely clean and had all the amenities we could wish for! The full hook ups made it possible for us to have an extended stay. Meeting Richard, Rip, and Rosie (two sweet pups) was truly a pleasure.

Our stay at Richard’s Deer Park Campsite was fantastic! The grounds were clean, spacious, and very well maintained. From the moment we arrived, Richard’s two friendly dogs greeted us and even came by to visit during our stay — they got along great with our three dogs, which made it extra enjoyable. We also loved catching glimpses of his chickens and roosters, which added a unique and charming touch.
The location is perfect, with plenty of nearby trails for hiking and biking, as well as great fishing spots that we enjoyed throughout our stay. The full hookups Richard provided were an awesome accommodation for our 7-night visit and made an extended stay super comfortable.
Richard is an exceptional host — very accommodating, welcoming, and even kind enough to share his WiFi with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience. Highly recommend Richard’s Deer Park Campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly, and well-kept place to stay!

Great location, close to everything on the west side of Glacier National Park. Brooke was super helpful with info and addressing any needs quickly! The free use of the washer and dryer was amazingly helpful for our two week stay! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a basecamp while exploring GNP (about 30 minutes to the park entrance), Whitefish, Kalispell and Columbia Falls has everything you need and is just a few minutes drive. Also, the Sharing Shack is right across the road. Check out the fb group for it! The neighbors have 3 little adorable goats and we saw deer in the field and elk right down the road!
