It was a beautiful spot close to lake that Wayne let us use along with his diving board, paddle boards and water trampoline. Wayne was very freindly and helpful. We had an amazing time and were only 1 hour away from glacier park.

Wayne is an exceptional host, perfectly balancing checking on things to make sure everything is good, but giving campers their space as well. He is beyond generous with his space; we will be regulars to his site for sure!

Perfect Blend of Nature & Warm Host

Echo Lake was an absolute gem of a stay. The setting is peaceful and tranquil, with wide-open lake views that stretch out to the Mission Mountains. We were lucky enough to catch both sunrise and sunset over the water, and the colors reflecting off the lake were unforgettable. It’s the kind of spot that feels far removed from the noise of daily life. Wayne, our host, could not have been more welcoming. He was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we had a smooth stay. From helping us with parking to offering access to his dock and even giving us local trip advice, his hospitality really elevated the experience. It felt less like checking into a campground and more like being hosted by a thoughtful neighbor. The site itself is set up with care. There are 4 RV spots that are easy to access, and everything is kept clean and orderly. The port-o-potty was spotless, and there were convenient trash cans available, which made the stay simple and stress-free. Having those amenities handled allowed us to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Very convenient off the highway up to Glacier and close to Flathead Lake, there’s plenty to do, or not do! Overall, Echo Lake is a perfect mix of natural beauty and thoughtful hosting. Between the stunning mountain and lake views, Wayne’s kindness, and the well-maintained setup, we couldn’t have asked for more. I’d highly recommend this Hipcamp spot to anyone looking for a quiet retreat with incredible views and a welcoming host.

Site 3 - Echoing View

We fell in love with Echo Lake and enjoyed our stay in our motorhome on Wayne’s property. Wayne was an excellent host and the grounds were clean and exactly what we needed. He even got out on a ladder with my husband to help trim some trees back to assure we didn’t scratch our rig while driving in (we have a super C motorhome). Being able to use the dock was amazing; we left our flight boards on the dock and felt comfortable that nothing would be stolen. We were sad to leave and hope to make it back next summer. Thank you Wayne!

Wayne was a great host! His site was better than I could've imagined. Amazing views, easy access to the water, clean, and peaceful. We had our 37’ Jayco Seneca Super C and it was no problem getting in and out of the campsite. I don’t know that I would try with anything bigger though.

Wayne’s property was very clean, private, a short drive from Big Fork, and 45 min from Glacier NP. I’d highly recommend his property if you’re wanting to be secluded but close to the amazing surrounding area!

The view was beautiful, the location was peaceful and a convenient location if you want to visit Big Fork or Kalispell. Wayne was highly communicative. Thanks for the assistance, Wayne, when backing in our toy hauler/camper so we had the optimal view of the lake. Really enjoyed taking walks around the loop and appreciated using the paddleboards. Would come back again!

Recreation, wildlife, and a view!

Our family of 7 had a great time at this campsite! We stayed for almost a week, and the scenery was beautiful, despite the fact that the weather didn't cooperate most of the time we were there. We loved fishing from Wayne's private dock as well as using his water trampoline, diving board, and paddle boards. We went on many walks around "the loop" and saw too many deer to count and dozens of wild turkeys. The site itself was private, and we enjoyed campfires most of the nights we were there. The clouds prevented us from seeing the stars very well, but with better weather, the stargazing would have been amazing. We highly recommend Echoing View!

Beautiful Lake View!

The host, Wayne, was very friendly, helpful, and involved. The lake is beautiful, view is great, a nice private dock with paddle boards was great. One complaint is the sites are much further and higher from the lake than they appear online. One must climb about 80 stairs to get to the lake. My other complaint is the site shown on a peninsula real close to the lake does not appear to be a real site. Overall, the site and Wayne were great.

Perfect Summer Retreat

This was probably the best campsite we have ever stayed at through Hipcamp. We really did not want to leave! The host, Wayne, was so friendly and greeted us shortly after we arrived. He let us use his private dock that had sturdy stairs to walk down to. The dock has a water trampoline, a water pad and paddle boards you can use. We also enjoyed fishing off of it. We were thankful for the weather being hot because the water was SO warm! We could have swam for hours. Not too far from town or groceries. We enjoyed exploring the neighboring towns. Lakeside was our favorite, lots of bars to visit and good food. Keep in mind, things do close early here! So if you are used to stores/restaurants staying open past 10pm, start planning for them to close at 8pm or even a little earlier. I will say be careful coming up the driveway if your trailer is long. Our toy hauler is 28ft and we had a little bit of trouble with bottoming out and manuvering the trailer to back in. Everything worked out fine though! Just have patience and someone to help you back in. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you, Wayne!

Mom/daughter camp trip success!

My mom and i have come here 2 years in a row and both times really enjoyed the space. The camp area is lovely and equipped with everything we needed. The lake dock is great, and we loved spending our days there. Also, Wayne was an awesome host! Def recommend. Looking forward to next year already!

Wayne is the kindest host!!!! We had an incredible stay at his place. The spot is gorgeous, and has a great view. We loved hanging out in the lake, and biking around the area. Nice, safe, campsite with beautiful views of Echo Lake. You do have use of a dock as well. The owner, Wayne, is very friendly and stops by to check in and see if you need anything. I would definitely stay here again. Not a ton of room to turn around with large rigs (my travel trailer is 24ft and I was able to turn around after backing up a bit). Also, be sure to follow the owners directions as Google maps tried to take me down some forest service road…
