Walk out of your tent, your RV or my cabin and you are in BLM and The White River National Forest. Plenty of flat, shaded ground with water and electric available. The biggest shade trees in Eagle County, firepits, and a creek with pond and waterfall with sand beach await. Incredible views of Castle Peak, The Flat tops Wilderness, Red Canyon and Hardscrabble Mountain right from the Property. Vail and Beaver Creek Ski Resorts with the best skiing and powder in the world and Glenwood Springs with the world famous Hot Springs Pool and Glenwood Caverns Amusement Park ( amusement park on top of a mountain) and the Iron Mountain Hot Springs Each 25 minutes away. Aspen is a little over an hour away. Pets are welcome and can be off leash if they can respond to voice controls and owners are responsible for their pets at all times. Dogs love it here! Our family has lived in McElmo Canyon for over 40 years and the campground has hosted camping and outdoor educational groups since 1965. After traveling the US in our motorhome for almost 5 years my husband Scott and I know the value of a smiling face and a helping hand after a day (or week) of travel. Exploring and experiencing this amazing country, its diversity and incredible people enhanced our lives in so many ways. In mid 2017 we found out our first grandchild was on the way. Long story short we parked the RV and parked ourselves here in Paonia, CO. In December of that year, we moved onto this amazing property full time and started the long list of fix ups (the list is still long). lol We are blessed to have our two adult sons and (aforementioned) grandson living on this property with us. Our philosophy is to live in the moment as the present is the gift. Whether enjoying a sunrise or a sunset or anytime in between you’ll likely find us outside most days. In that, we love all that nature has to offer including fresh fruits and veggies, animals, beauty and fragrances. Sage View Ranch is being created with the desire to have people experience the natural rustic beauty and magic of Paonia. Scott and I look forward to meeting you :)

Weekend Trip to Silent "P" Ranch

The property was extremely beautiful and Shannon was very kind, friendly and accommodating. The wagon was charming and the decor was very inviting. There was even a friendly farm cat that came and said hello to us! The trip felt magical overall. Wonderful hosts, wonderful scenery, and very welcoming.

George's property is absolutely stunning and the site offers everything you need! The tipi is quite charming and includes a foam mattress (bring your pillow and sleeping bag), a table and chairs, a mini cooler, a lantern, drinking water, flowers from his garden, and towels for the very nice bathhouse. The heated bathhouse is a short walk away with hot water. You'll be nestled in the trees with a front row view of the river, plenty of space between you and your neighbors. A 5-minute walk to Big B's Cider and a 3 min drive into Paonia town. George was a lovely host and this place is a gem! We will certainly be back!

It is a remote space and you feel so small being surrounded by the mountains. Love this open, vast area that holds a space for people to be in nature safely. The kitchen is well stocked with goodies. Everything is a quick stroll away from the teepee. The bathroom has adorable art and quotes on the wall to brighten the space up. Our teepee was warm, spacious and cozy! It rained over night and listening to the rain hit the teepee was calming. Wish we were here for two nights, but we had a quick over night stay. Love this spot and would totally come back.

2 nights at Durango RV Resort

I stayed in the basic cabin (ie, the fancy shed). It was perfect, one queen bed, two twin bunks, ac, heat, ceiling fan and a light. The sites are a little close together but I was not spending the summer so not a big deal, I was there to sleep after spending the day at mesa verde. The grounds and restroom/shower was very neat and clean. I would definitely stay again. There is definitely road noise but as you can see from the posting, they are next to a major road. It was not a big deal in the cabin as I had windows closed as the temps were pretty cool.

10/10 would recommend. We had a wonderful time staying here! It’s so beautiful and peaceful. It’s in a residential neighborhood, but you’d never think it. The cabin is in its own area with an herb / flower garden and we loved hammocking. Beth was very kind and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay and answered any questions we had.

What a great place to stay! Clean, pretty orchards, and with the basic amenities. Dirk even added a small microwave so I could heat my tea and breakfast in the morning. Comfy bed and the outdoor shower is cool. I didn't use it because it was such a short stay, but how fun!

George & Devon’s property is a favorite. I’ve now been two times and will return again. If you’re a light sleeper, I recommend ear plugs due to an occasional coal train that blows by in the night, but something about that too is nostalgic and cool. It’s peaceful, 4 deer wandered through my camp. I stayed solo and slept under the stars and felt safe and sound. They’re very responsive, the bath house is incredibly clean with hot water and 2 showers, indoor and outdoor. The tipi is beautiful and has the best chunk of the property, right on the river. Walking to Big B’s Orchard for live music and dinner is a highlight ❤️ Thank you George and Devon for having such a peaceful place for us to stay. We’ll be back!

This is one of our favorite places to glamp. It’s nice to not have to pack dishes, cookware, etc. There’s a great setup to cook. Sway in the hammocks after breakfast. The beds inside the teepees are so comfy. The host is incredibly kind.

They have restrooms, showers, and a community kitchen with every cooking utensil you may need. The restrooms were so clean and the camp manager was so kind!
