3 nights at Summit Forest Glamping at 7450' !

We absolutely LOVED staying at Secluded Forest Glamping @ 7450!! Lisa was great, making sure we had everything we needed. The upscale RV was amazing! Very cozy, SO clean, decor was awesome. The back and loft areas were so cute! The location was perfect - felt like we were in the middle of the forest. There was an incredible amount of information about nearby activities, places to go and see; games and books available; and having 2 bathrooms was nice for the 5 of us. We would highly recommend Secluded Forest Glamping @ 7450 to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe, quiet and affordable place to stay for one or multiple nights. A very cool home away from home! Thanks Lisa!

1 night at Lavender Farm Stay

Looking for serenity & superb style from knowledgeable, attentive hosts? You must stay with Travis, Katie, and farm dog Chaco. They have a gorgeous wagon with thoughtful amenities surrounded by a working farm that clearly gets lots of love and sweat from its owners and team. This secluded location close to Mesa Verde National Park provides the ultimate getaway. The sleep was comfy and the breakfast was stellar. I was well rested for my hiking and park visit. The shower & facilities were immaculate. As a solo traveler I felt super safe and looked after from booking through the end of my stay. I loved the lavender farm tour from Katie & Travis. Do be sure to get some of their lavender products to take home with you. My Jeep smells extra fabulous and the calm I got from my stay is sure to stay with me well beyond my trip.

Weekend Trip to Bright Star Campground

We rolled into the campground, found our tipi, and we were immediately greeted by Kent and one of the other guys working to create a beautiful walkway to the Chasing Moon tipi. The bed inside was so comfortable and the temperature inside stayed regulated by the fan. Naturally we were glamping and the electricity really helped keep our devices charged so we could take amazing pictures just down the road at Mesa Verde. We were also introduced to the Dotty Wampus Magical Chocolate Factory very nearby which is a cannot miss if you're staying at the campground. A full kitchen made it easy for people to cook and the fun covered area with ping pong tables, comfortable seating and good vibes made it a great experience. The shower proximity to Chasing Moon is quite nice and while the bathroom was a bit farther away, we found it easy all around. We had an awesome time over Memorial Day weekend.

2 nights at Bright Star Campground

My wife and I loved camping at Robins place. Brightstar Campground is an all around peaceful and beautiful place to stay. We stayed in a Tipi for two nights and the Mountain cabin another two nights because we liked the vibe so much. Both lodging options were more than big enough for my wife and I and very comfortable. The early spring nights get cold, but each bed is outfitted with a variety of blankets to stack up. We used our own extras some nights, but didn't need them the whole time. The amenities and accommodations were very accurate to the website and hipcamp description with a few pleasant surprises sprinkled in. Robin was flexible and friendly, but not overbearing as a host. Check in and out was easy and hosts were consistently responsive via text or call. Kent, the new camp host was friendly and helpful through the stay. He has a great eye for unique art and a knack for outdoor hospitality! Anyone who is used to camping and glamping would absolutely thrive here and if you're just looking to dip your toe in but not ready for packing and planning all your own gear and camping trip the tipi or cabin would be a great option!

2 nights at Summit Forest Glamping at 7450' !

We loved the camper, it was the perfect basecamp for Mesa Verde NP! 20 minutes from the entrance/visitor center. Had everything we needed, and Lisa was a super communicator. Would highly recommend and would stay again if we ever return.

3 nights at Lavender Farm Stay

A wonderful, beautiful place to stay for 1 or 2 people. Katie and Travis were great hosts and breakfast every morning was a thoughtful, delicious perk to staying on their farm. Had so much fun exploring the land— I totally recommend staying for a few days so you can experience all of the great spots in the area too.

What a beautiful experience. Lisa was a great communicator from the moment I booked with them. Their property is beautiful with a stillness that is peaceful. Their camper had everything I needed. We are in the rural area between Hesperus, Durango, and Mancos - An easy drive to Durango and its thrift shops, restaurants, galleries, cafes, Animas River and River Trail, and hiking and biking trails. Mancos is filled with art galleries, a wonderful bakery and cafe, beauty, and endless trails. Also within driving distance are Phil's World, Cortez, Sand Canyon, the beautiful La Plata Canyon, Mesa Verde National Park, Lake NIghthorse, and more! There are endless hiking and biking trails within driving distance of the property. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing abound and alpine skiing at Purgatory Ski Resort are popular winter activities. The views of the La Platas and Sleeping Ute are ever changing, awe inspiring, and constant from the deck of The Art Shack. On the property are cats, two dogs, two equines (you will hear our burro braying). Our neighbors have yaks, cattle, goats, sheep, dogs, horses, poultry, and other farm animals. You will also see the wild critters that inhabit our corner of La Plata County. You are welcome to wander our property beyond the Big Stick Ditch but do not go into the pasture with our burro or enter any of the out buildings. Park within steps of the Art Shack, cross the foot bridge over the bubbling irrigation ditch, and you have arrived! Please remove your shoes before entering! There is electricity, a queen bed, rustic chairs inside, an outdoor table and chairs, a composting toilet, a coffee machine, and purified drinking water for your use. An electric heater is supplied during winter months. There is no air conditioning. We are available if needed (unless we are out of town adventuring) but will not expect to interact with you as you relax. No dogs are allowed - 2 people max - No smoking of lit substances inside The Art Shack. Please remove your shoes before entering The Art Shack!
