Weekend Trip to Tongue Creek Ranch

We had a great stay in the ranch for a couple of nights, Dave & Barb were kind and thoughtful hosts. We (our dog included) enjoyed walking around the ranch and saying hello to the horses every morning. The temperatures were high when we stayed but the cabin had an AC that kept us cool when needed, which we especially appreciated. The cabin felt private but not remote, which was perfect for our needs.

Kaewyn’s tiny home is in a great location close to the Grand Mesa. She is also an excellent host! Her home has all the essentials you would need for your trip, and she is a wealth of knowledge and recommendations. Her place is also close to the very cute, albeit very tiny, Main Street in Cedaredge. We especially enjoyed trying the different ciders at Snow Capped Cider house. If you are looking for a unique stay close to outdoor adventures definitely stay here!

Charming place with an incredible view of the mountains. A quick drive to town with the quiet feel of the country while you’re there. Luxurious, sweet space with everything you need! Kind host goes beyond if you have any needs. Highly recommended and great value :) The town of Paonia has great food, lots of cute shops and is filled with interesting, kind folks.

We had such an amazing time camping at Dragonsong! The host was so welcoming, making sure we arrived to the right place and was so kind with our kids! The host taught us so much about the local places and made sure we enjoyed our stay. We loved getting to visit “Starlily”, the meditation tent and we enjoyed getting to tour the property as well! Had a great memorial day weekend in the Tipi! The site is MASSIVE, it could easily fit 2 families camping together. Tipi was comfy with a night time breeze and two foam mattress pads. Firewood was provided which was so nice - the campfire on the river was the highlight of my trip. Enjoyed the easy access to shower/toilet and to charge devices. George and his partner are LOVELY hosts. 5 stars.

I adored flaming at Old moon tipis! Stacy was an amazing sweet and accommodating host. Stacy checked in a few times to make sure everything was going smoothly. The area is amazing and beautiful. Felt alone enough to be with my thoughts however also had the opportunity to meet other campers. I will definitely be going back. Already planning another trip with my mom. Weekend Trip to Old Moon Acres Tipi Haven

We stayed in the yurt over Memorial Day weekend and absolutely loved it! The yurt was clean upon arrival and had more than enough space for 2 people and the open land was great for letting our dogs have some room to roam. The communal kitchen was clean and well stocked with essentials cooking. The porta-potties were clean and there were plenty of solar showers available if we felt like freshening up. Stacy was an amazing host, communicated great via the app, and checked in regularly during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved our time spent here and will definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Tongue Creek Ranch

This place is a hidden gem. I really enjoyed the quaint and cozy vibes. The wood stove functioned well and kept the place hot. The wifi was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the friendly pupper dog. There was a potter poty , but no shower. As hiker's and backpackers we are okay with the rustic. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Pinion Farm Homestead located in the town of Nucla, CO is a 40-acre new farm/orchard operation that currently includes pigs, rotational grazing cows and sometimes horses, organically-grown vegetable garden, hay pastures and practices regenerative agriculture within the heirloom apple orchards onsite. Originally home to the Uncompahgre Ute Native Americans, Nucla was founded by a socialist group from Denver, the Colorado Cooperative Company. Some of the members built (some sent money) a 17-mile ditch to carry water from the San Miguel River to the mesa top. Pinion Farm Homestead was homesteaded by the Lundahl family and were founding members of the cooperative. The original farm included an old farmhouse, a chicken coop, and a winter storage building that are all still standing. The Lundahl family raised pigs, chickens and cows, cultivated apple, peach, mulberry, apricot and plum trees, and grew hay, corn, oats, barley and vegetables. John Lundahl owned the creamery for a short time as well.

Beetle kill tongue and groove ceiling, cultured barn wood wanes coating. It's super nice. The ranch itself may be the reason for the "glamp" booking. The yard is manicured and the 25 house, goats and chickens are fun to see. The big plus is we are only 20 minutes away from the Grand Mesa outdoorsman mecca. This is probably the cheapest base camp to the Mesa. The ranch is a great base camp to wineries, Moab, Telluride, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, fishing, boating, hiking, trails and hundreds of open BLM land for Razor riding. Check us out.
