Solar-powered, off-grid cabin boasting a rustic layout and lovely patio. 12 minutes from Downtown Durango, 5 minutes to Lake Nighthorse, 15 minutes to Hesperus Ski Mountain, 30 minutes to Durango Airport, 40 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort and 50 minutes to Mesa Verde NP. Fantastic mountain biking, hiking, boating and camping within a thirty-mile radius. Durango Narrow Gauge Railway runs to Silverton—a beautiful mountain town—during spring, summer and fall. Great rustic cabin conventionally located just outside of Durango. Mark was a terrific host - very. commutative and accommodating. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique camping experience.

Cozy, comfortable cabin the the woods! Mark was a super nice host, and I had everything I needed. Beautiful scenery and a very comfortable bed, with a nice porch out back. Would definitely recommend.

Cabaña Ponderosa
We were passing through Durango and requested to stay at Cabaña Ponderosa just 3 hours before arriving. Mark was extremely responsive and was able to host us on short notice! The property was secluded and surrounded by trees and mountains. After a few days on the road this was exactly what we needed! Mark made us some delicious coffee in the morning. I only wish we had more time to stay in the Durango area!
