On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite. We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite. There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour. We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport. When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful! This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork Cosumnes river. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”.

Learn more about this land Very remote off grid barn with an outhouse, vegetable garden, fruit trees, and small vineyard that I make wine from. There's a creek that runs through the property with Indian grinding holes. We also have volleyball, horseshoes, hiking trails, and much more! You will be in gold country where you can still find gold in the creek to this day! If you're lucky, you might find a nugget, but there's mostly pickers and fines. The nights are absolutely stunning for viewing the stars with no light pollution.  You will have almost complete privacy, with the exception of an occasional over head aircraft. I have only one group at a time.

The hosts are incredibly nice and a good chat, too, having lived and worked in the area, plus being involved in local arts and culture. It certainly doesn't hurt that there is an actual wine tasting room on the premises. We slept at one of the sheetmetal teepees and enjoyed a campfire and star watching. The structure blocks a lot of wind, looks out onto a valley, and is has ample seating. In the morning one wakes up to the sights of the art garden (it's more than that, really), which is a unique experience.

Wow, what an amazing and beautiful weekend my girlfriends and I had at the Painted Lake Treehouse! The place is absolutely stunning! It was a mystical and magical wonderland with an amazing view of the lake. We woke up every morning to sounds of the roosters crowing and goats bleeting. We also had the pleasure of being there at the time where they had puppies on the property. They were so cute! The treehouse was warm and comfortable perfect for the three of us. The two petite girls stayed in the loft bed and I stayed on the futon couch down below. The heater kept us nice and toasty as we went there in December so it got brisk at night. There was was a camp kitchen, outdoor shower hut & portopotty just a just a short walk up the hill from the treehouse. There were dishes and cooking utensils provided as well as running water and a stove for cooking. Everything we needed. Our purpose for the weekend was to be surrounded by nature and to do a healing retreat weekend. We each booked a constellation therapy session with Michelle. Let me tell you she is absolutely magical. Such a compassionate and knowledgeable healer. It was truly transformative on so many levels. The animals participated as well. My favorite part was when the horses nuzzled my back during the final session. Our hosts Jeremy and Michele made sure that all of our needs were met and were extremely welcoming and excited to have us there. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Thanks M&J!! 💖 MAGIC!

Great place. The host was warm and welcoming. Loads of signs to find your way. The cows roam but can be close sometimes which was fun. I stayed at the top of the hill in a sense and woke up to a great sunrise. Clean porta potty and overall clean site. Loads of places to discard trash. Great place and close enough to Yosemite.

What a hidden treasure. We enjoyed a serene thanksgiving, and a visit from a blue heron. You can see Barry's love and care for the land. The facilities are clean, and there's even a hot water sink. Didn't get to get the boats this time, but definitely will return to try them next time.

We were in the Yosemite tent. It was very roomy inside. The bed was comfortable. The only critique about the bedding was the laundry detergent used was really strong. The propane heater and stove worked fine although there was only a 1/2 tank. So I would suggest bringing your own just in case. The property was beautiful. It was very easy to find using the written directions.

we’ve stayed at John’s farm 3 times now, once in spring and twice in late November. every time it has been so amazing! the property is gorgeous and there’s so much open grassy areas to wander and sit on a blanket and just enjoy being in nature and not hearing any sounds but cows mooing! the porta potty is always clean and the camping spaces are large and well equipped with fire pits and wood! i would highly recommend John’s land to anyone. thank you again for sharing your property, John!

Wow what an absolutely beautiful property. Rachel and Jon are very kind and helpful. We enjoyed a few hours of hiking around the property. Loved seeing so much wild life and the sweet cows that graze around the property. I can see why summer would be a more enjoyable time to visit. We stayed in cabin # 2 and although a very beautiful spot and cabin, For the $480 for 2 nights price I was surprised there wasn’t sheets/blankets or a propane stove or bbq or some way to cook food. so make sure you bring anything necessary to cook food and linens and blankets for the bed. There is a fire pit outside but no grill or way to cook food. It does have a wood stove inside as a heat source so make sure you also bring firewood especially in the colder months.
