It was a wonderful weekend in a yurt. It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, there were all the necessary utensils, and there was a gas stove, which we never used. This was our second time camping at Cosumnes River Ranch. The river is amazing. The campsites and spacious and private, and even when the weather is hot the river valley provides a shelter from the heat. Tom is a very friendly and knowledgeable host, and the porta-potties are clean!

Our time there was very private and safe. We had to leave our RV for a few days to look for property to purchase and everything was left the same when we came back. Our RV was left a few times in a trusting environment behind an electric gate. At arrival, you are given a remote to this gate to come and go as you please. Our spot was secluded and very peaceful. I would definitely recommend this rv park to a friend. I had several dogs with me and they were very happy as well. It’s a beautiful and peaceful location with plenty of room for your furry loved ones.

We camped at site #4, a shady site on a small rise at Sawyers Bar. It’s a little above the Cosumnes River, but a short walk from a common area swimming hole with small beach. The swimming hole is delightful in mid-September.

We had a nice weekend camping at Pond Bank Waterfront. The property was easy to find and access. We parked our trailer parallel to the pond so that we had a nice view of it. We were the only ones accessing the pond so that was nice. We were aware of neighbors across the pond but they are far enough away that it was no issue. We really enjoyed watching all of the birds come and go to the pond. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful! We liked that the location of the property is so close to things to do during our stay. We spent the afternoon on Saturday checking out the Kennedy Mine and Kennedy Tailing Wheels. Fascinating. Walking around Sutter Creek was fun too. The only issue we had were mosquitos which come any place with water. Just be prepared for them to come out an hour or so before sunset. We didn't have any issue with them during the day.

I would like to gatekeep this campsite, but it’s just too good and would want other friends to experience the amazing-ness of this property like I did. Such a fun time being right next to the river and being able to be absolutely alone was 10/10. We were able to find the location just fine, set up, relax, enjoy cooking (with a couple bees of course), relax in the river with our tubes and soak in the sun. There was surprisingly no one near us, which was another bonus because the toilets were so clean and it was such a quiet & relaxing night! We’ll definitely be back! Such a special spot full of memories now.

Our family had an amazing late summer experience - hiking, swimming and enjoying this beautiful ranch in Amador County along the Consumnes River. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. For swimming, Tom recommended the Swimming Hole at Sawyer’s Bar, which was perfect for our six year old - a nice sandy beach with little to no current in the shallows. The campsite was spacious and clean with lots of shade and plenty of space between other sites, which made the site feel very private. We visited with a travel trailer and thought the dirt road to the campsites was well maintained when we visited. We cannot wait to visit again!

What a wonderful gem of a place! The easy access to river and the calm, peaceful surroundings were a perfect way to spend the weekend. The river current was calm enough to float around all day long and enjoy on a hot day. There are wasps that joined us during dinner time (both evenings) so definitely be prepared for that. The porta potty nearby is also very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

Having a private reservoir to unwind at was a lovely addition to our weekend away. We explored some local trails with our dog and then came to fish and relax by the resorvoir. There are some neighbors with animals that are chatty but that is to be expected out in the country. We took out the paddleboat and enjoyed hours relaxing on the land. Thanks James!
