1 night at Sleep Up High In A Redwood Tree-net

First time experiencing a tree net. Cool and unique experience with three teenagers and husband. Not large rural property but felt private enough enclosed within the ring of redwoods on Louis’s property in the residential neighborhood for hanging with family for evening games and sleep. Neighborhood is across the main street from large, beautiful open space for exploring. Check out trails on AllTrails in San Geronimo, like Roy’s Redwoods for ideas. Didn’t go far but leaves much to explore on a future visit. We had come from a day at the beach and dinner in Stinson. Great sleepover stop before heading home toward Sacramento the next day. Louis is friendly and helpful. Great stay. Thx Louis for sharing your space and making a special trip with teens possible.

Weekend Trip to Tunitas Beach Overlook - Airstream

Beautiful setting, clean and comfortable Airstream and well supplied, hosts were very responsive and the rental is well documented (with helpful video instructions). Will definitely stay again.

3 nights at Sleep Up High In A Redwood Tree-net

My fiance and I absolutely loved this Hipcamp! It was easy to find (directions were clear) and host was very communicative and made us feel prepared :) We brought our 19ft campervan (Ram Promaster) and it fit fine at the site. Our van build and stuff is quite heavy, and we’re FWD so I always worry about getting stuck but we had no issues. Driveway is a little steep but we had no problem getting up, it did help to get a little momentum before going up it since sometimes we spin out on steep grades when wet. Anyway, onto the fun stuff-the treenet was beautiful and felt stable and safe. We slept up there for the whole first night. Yes it’s near a road but we heard little car noise despite this. We just packed plenty of thick blankets and dressed in layers and were totally comfortable. It was about 45° that night. We fell asleep to the sounds of owls hooting and gentle occasional drizzle of rain. The string lights are a nice touch and made for amazing photos! I would love to stay again when I’m in the area and for longer.

2 nights at Tunitas Beach Overlook - Airstream

We had a perfect stay at the Tunitas Beach Airstream. The location is unbeatable—epic views and quiet solitude but easy access to grocery, restaurants, hikes, beaches, and more. The mighty little Airstream had everything we needed and more, and Deano was very responsive and clear with instructions and troubleshooting help. Hope to be back soon!

The Tree Net was awesome! Highly recommend. We had brought sleeping pads but ended up not using them, instead we had a ton of blankets and sleeping bags to have beneath us and on us and it was quite cozy. We had four people and the net felt quite sturdy. Louis was a great host and super responsive, he let us drop off some stuff a bit early which was quite kind of him. It was a perfect spot for a one night trip and a full day Pt. Reyes adventure. Highly recommend, very unique experience!

Weekend Trip to Lobitos Creek

Our stay at this campground in Half Moon Bay was absolutely fantastic! The views were breathtaking, with wide open spaces that easily accommodated our large group and multiple vehicles. It’s rare to find a spot this spacious so close to the Bay Area, yet it truly felt like we had escaped into the mountains. The real highlight, though, was the incredible host, Rebecca. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even personally guiding us to our campsite. Her kindness and accommodating nature made the experience even more special. Despite only staying for one night, we all wished we could have stayed a week! The convenience of having a porta potty on-site was a huge plus, making the trip even more comfortable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-managed campground near the Bay Area, this is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a lovely private campground deep in the Bonny Doon Hills, but still close to Santa Cruz. Doug and Denise are nice and attentive, and the space is big and beautiful, including a nice hike down to a creek on the property.

Beautiful location with an amazing view. It was a very cozy getaway and fun to enjoy staying in an Airstream RV. There was a nice campfire, hammock, and all with a breathtaking view. Highly recommend and hope to come back again soon!

We loved staying here - such a unique experience! This time of year is a little cold at night so bring plenty of blankets for the net. We probably could have slept in it but decided to sleep in our van at the base of the net for a little extra warmth. There are string lights in the net as well which provide wonderful ambiance at night. The net is VERY well constructed and safe. Neighbors houses are visible from the net but it’s a very quiet street.

Staying at Deano's Airstream was an amazing experience! Deano provided all the instructions on how to get there and everything was super clear, it was really easy to get to the property and also get into the Airstream. Upon arriving, Deano walked me through all the necessary information for the Airstream, from using the generator to checking the water supply. It was a quick call, but everything was explained well and I had no issues throughout my stay. The view was beautiful, and the property is close to Half Moon Bay, so it's very accessible to the various beaches and restaurants as well. My partner loved it as well, and we would definitely recommend anyone to try it out!

1 night at Sleep Up High In A Redwood Tree-net

Louis’s site is close to a main road, sans any noise pollution. It felt peaceful reading in the net into the late morning. Important things to note before booking: The area that the tree net is in is *much* more exposed than we anticipated (front yard of the property next to a street in a neighborhood), but being up in the net itself felt private. There’s enough room below to park and set up camping equipment if you don’t have a trailer. If you don’t have a trailer, I highly recommend bringing a camping toilet. I wouldn’t have stayed here if I didn’t have some kind of toilet. The uniqueness of the tree net and the proximity to Point Reyes make this a great one night stay!

Please avoid so we can keep this hidden gem to ourselves..j/k❤️ I booked this amazing location for my husband’s bday and we experienced a true Glamping experience. We met Deano (host) and received a quick run down of the airstream and he was friendly and professional. The attention to details the hosts provide is outstanding. The sunrises and sunsets were so amazing, we loved watching the low/high tides and full moon over the ocean! Our furbaby enjoyed the open field and had so much fun. It was a peaceful and amazing weekend.

Managed Mischief Micro Farm

We are here in Gilroy Ca, on a rural 2 acres just outside of town, further up our road is Coyote Lake to go boating and fishing and Harvey Bear park to go hiking and horse riding. Santa Cruz is a 45 min drive West over hwy 152 and San Jose is 30 min North on 101 and keep going a bit more and you will be in San Francisco. Here at home we raise several different kinds of lives stock. Goats for meat and milk, Sheep for meat and wool and eventually milk, Pigs for meat, Rabbits for meat and hide, Chickens, Ducks and Quail for meat and eggs. We have a garden and small orchard with nearly a dozen fruit trees of different kinds : loquat, a few apples, plums, apricot, peach, fig, persimmons and my favorite the pomegranate! We process everything ourselves using ancestral techniques and love to share and learn with others. Id say the main draw back here is the traffic noise but beyond that, We are quite lucky to have very a green and Id say an oasis of a property, with multiple large palms trees surrounding the pool area and a large weeping willow tree in the main yard/sheep pasture. At the NE corner of the property is a very large oak tree, it is majestic and with the tipi door open to the East the big oak is the first thing you'll see every morning besides the suns rays! The entire Northern property line is rowed with 60ft tall redwood trees and there are a smattering of citrus trees around to boot! The freezer is stocked with in house meat, the BBQ is hot, the pool is cool, come relax after a day on the trails!

We have 1.3 acres of land in the Santa Cruz Mountains right in the middle of the redwood trees. The area is quiet and peaceful where you can watch the stars at night. We have natural space for camping under redwood trees or take a walk through our own garden for fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers when in season. The beach is 30min drive over the mountain or take a hike just minutes away. You will never get bored here with plenty of outdoor adventures. The property is mostly fenced in with privacy from the camp site provided by trees and fence for a natural experience. We respect everyones privacy and those campers that want a truly natural experience as we don't mind adult guests unrobing. No smoking or campfires are allowed. We are out in nature, so please look before you touch. We do have wild poison oak on trails and nature habitats. We spray weekly, and it is not around any common areas around the campsite or house.

The Rainbow Junction offers a unique camping experience at the intersection of Mines Road and HWY 130 in the San Antonio Valley. We operate a restaurant and we offer camping friendly meals for guests. We love the wildness of this property and do not allow cars or vehicles beyond the parking lot. All of our sites are hike in sites. It's about a 1/4 mile hike on a small foot path. We have a wagon available for guests to use and we are happy to help you carry your things. We host a communal fire pit in the evenings, weather permitting, for all guests to enjoy, we do not allow open fires on the property. Cal Fire has requested that all campers get a permit, even to operate a gas stove. The permit is free and takes just a few minutes. https://permit.preventwildfiresca.org/ Please pack your trash, food scraps can be place in our compost but please be prepared to take all other items with you when you leave. Our swimming pond is about a 3/4 mile hike through brush from the restaurant but is a great way to beat the heat during the day! Campsites have a picnic table. A dry toilet is a short walk from campsites and we equip sites with a water dispenser and a sealed container for trash. Water from our well is always available outside of the restaurant and bathrooms with running water are available during business hours. There is a fire trail along one of our ridge lines that offers stunning views of the San Antonio Valley as well as our abundant wildlife. We sometimes host speakers and educational workshops and guests are always welcome to participate in events. Campers, trailers, RVs and Vans are welcome to stay in our lot but we currently do not have hookups available. Have a large group? We are happy to reserve group sites.

Today, the 7-acre farm is being restored to sustainably support fruit orchards, cottage flower and kitchen gardens, honey bees, a boisterous flock of chickens, and naughty shetland sheep. Our self-serve farmstand attached to our barn has seasonal flowers, organic eggs, heirloom fruit, and local goods from the farm. Our property is the perfect rustic getaway for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. You’ll be surrounded by farm/ranch life: chickens clucking, roosters crowing, bees buzzing, and sheep bleating. Welcome to southern Santa Cruz County, home of some of the longest and most beautiful beaches in central California. We are located in La Selva Beach, an eight-minute walk to Manresa State Beach. We are a small, working farm with vegetable and flower gardens, chickens and bees. There are many excellent places nearby to hike, walk, surf, swim, tide pool or just sit and enjoy the view. We offer three campsites, two have fantastic, unobstructed views of the three hundred acres of strawberry fields that back up to our property. Our campsites provide water and electric hookups and are only appropriate for self-contained recreational vehicles and trailers. One of the sites has no size constraints on RVs or trailers. We have plenty of room for a second vehicle. We do offer a port-a potty, but not sinks or showers. We do not accommodate on the ground tent camping or in your car camping. The Valley View site is very quiet as it is farthest from the road, and is the most private. The Gateway site is near the road and does not have a view of the strawberry fields, but guests who are just looking for a quick stop over or base camp love it. The Strawberry and Surf site has no size restrictions and it backs up to San Andreas Rd. All site are walking distance to Manresa State Beach. We love to host guests and will provide information about things to do and see in our area. We often loan our State Parks pass so that you can venture out to Point Lobos, Wilder Ranch, Sunset Beach, Natural Bridges and more. Each camp site includes a fire pit and a generous wagon of wood. Two camp chairs and a picnic table are included as well. We also offer farm fresh eggs, baked goods and other treats (see our Extras). We are 15 minutes from the village of Capitola, 30 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz and 45 minutes to Monterey. There is a Dump station 5 minutes down the road at the KOA (for a fee).

If you bring your dog we have a trail for you to stroll around the property in a natural setting. We purposely do not a lot of pictures to keep this place mystical and a secret gem. We'd like to WOW you when you get here. The creek is accessible although the final route requires a rope down so may not be suitable for everyone. Within 15-20 min drive you will find almost all major attractions in the Santa Cruz area including The Mistery Spot, Nisene Marks State Forest, Capitola Pier, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, and many famous surf breaks from Capitola to The Point, The Hook, Steamer Lane and many more., as well as many amazing mountain bike trails. There are also several Santa Cruz Mountain wineries to explore in a 3- 5 mile radius. Further afield you will find Monterey Bay Aquarium and the coastal beaches north up to San Francisco Bay ( 1 hour 30 mins north) and down to Big Sur about 1 hour 20 mins south. Welcome to the Amaya Creek Redwood Campground! We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions to bypass the road closure! There is no cell phone service in some areas. PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a trash service for the campground, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR TRASH with them! We have 40 acres of redwood forest and two creeks running through including the Amaya Creek which serves the boundary of our property at the end of Amayak Creek Trail. There’s also a small waterfall off the Amaya Creek Trail, but it may dry out during the summer. Enjoy hiking, creeks and small waterfall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more. Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 FREE hot water shower, utility shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater. The kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers. . Most campsites allow 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing. Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times! Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules. No hookup for RV and trailer, check each site description to see if RV/trailer is ok for that site.
