Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco.
All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle.
Also be sure to check out our orchard tours! The apples are ripe now and our verities will continue to ripen thru late November. We'll take you to our family orchard where you can pick apples, pears, or blueberries in season and taste yummy treats out of our family garden.

Tucked away at the edge of the Klamath Glen neighborhood, our family-owned campground has been welcoming guests for over 40 years. Surrounded by towering trees in the heart of Redwood National Forest and just a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean, this is a true hidden gem on California’s North Coast.
We offer a rustic, old-fashioned camping experience. It’s a mix of open field and scattered trees, with both RVs and tent campers on site. Neighbors will be nearby, but the vibe is quiet and relaxed—especially in the off-season, when you might have the place nearly to yourself.
The Klamath River is just over the levee—a short walk from your site—with great access for fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing by the water. The river is world-famous for salmon and steelhead fishing (license required). August and September are peak fishing months, so expect a few early morning engines from folks heading out.
We’re only 4 miles off Highway 101, far enough to enjoy peace and quiet without traffic noise. Wildlife is part of the experience here, so please stash your food at night to keep critters out of camp.
Outdoor lovers will find plenty to explore nearby—hiking and biking trails, the Trees of Mystery, Jet Boat Tours, and, of course, miles of redwood forest to get lost in.
A few things to note:
We are curruntly doing renovations at the far side of the park . it is done on the weekends , except on Holidays ,from 9am til 5pm ,because that is the only time my son gets off work from his job, sorry for any inconvenience.
We are hoping to be done before August 2026.

Our ranch consists of 142 acres located at the top of East Cuesta Grade, elevation approximately 2100 ft. We are secluded and it feels like you're far away from city life yet San Luis Obispo is only a twenty minute drive away. We neighbor Los Padres National Forest which has several miles of hiking and biking trails.
On our farm we have 10 sheep, 10 goats, 29 chickens, 2 pigs, 5 dogs and a cat. Interaction with farm animals is common place as most campsites are close to our animal pastures. Bee hives are located on the property as well. Honey, eggs and firewood are available for purchase. :)

Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

On many days you can experience Ojai’s famous pink moments. You can hike the trails above Ojai, boat, eat, or picnic at Lake Casitas. Travel to nearby Ventura to shop, fish the pier, or take a deep sea fishing charter or Island charter to Whale watch or fish around the Channel Islands.
Please note the aerial view of the camping area recently placed by Hipcamp is NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE of the current camping sites and shows a photo that is many years old when the site was merely land.
That photo is without any of the existing amenities or improvements. The actual sites are all Larger than Federal Park and Statepark guidelines, with averages of 20'x30' for campsites and 20'x40' for a long RVCampsite.
We have planted many young trees and continue to plant trees and native shrubs around and near the sites. We have picnic tables, table coverings, fire pits, and camping rugs/footprints. There is also an outdoor shower, a shower tent with hot water, and an upgraded porta-potty with a sink.
Note: During times when high heat is predicted, we strongly recommend that our Hipcampers bring pop-up shade tents or canopies for their sites.
The Hipcamp is adjacent to our working ranch, and any photos of old sheds, trucks, a wood lot, or other equipment are NOT on the Hipcamp, but you will drive past that property to get to the separate Hipcamp area.
Wineries, Farmer's Markets, Craft Breweries, dispensaries, and more are within 10 to 15 minutes of our site. Our location allows moments when you may see Hawks, Owls, Geese, Swallows, Robins, Bluebirds, and more.

We are 5 minutes away from the San Gregorio General Store and cafe and 20 minutes from Alice's Restaurant. We have great cell coverage for Verizon.
There are three campsites, each with easy 4WD access. Two of the sites offer total isolation with amazing views while the third site, while in a nice setting, is more useful for a quick overnight stay with no views of the ocean or canyon. We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions to bypass the road closure! There is no cell phone service in some areas.
PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a trash service for the campground, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR TRASH with them!
We have 40 acres of redwood forest and two creeks running through including the Amaya Creek which serves the boundary of our property at the end of Amayak Creek Trail. There’s also a small waterfall off the Amaya Creek Trail, but it may dry out during the summer. Enjoy hiking, creeks and small waterfall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more.
Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 FREE hot water shower, utility shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater. The kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers. .
Most campsites allow 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing.
Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times!
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules.

Located right off coastal US highway 1, Timber Cove campground sits right at the edge of breathtaking, oceanside cliffs. We are situated on roughly two acres of land, with multiple campsites for tent/car camping or RV’s. Each bluff campsite has a picnic table, fire pit and water. Electricity is available to use for an extra fee. The beach and waterfall campsites do not have picnic tables so you might want to bring one if you’ve booked there. We have separate men’s and women’s flush bathrooms, with coin-operated hot showers. We have firewood with kindling for sale on site, payable with cash or Venmo. Please take note of local fire bans, when in effect. Dog friendly, though be advised a leash is recommended as we are close to the road, but they can run leash-free down at the beach. We are located 30 minutes north of the town of Jenner, with Gualala 30 minutes to the north. Gualala has grocery stores, a post office, and some shops. Fort Ross Store is located one mile down the road, just before Timber Cove, and sells basic food necessities, drinks, sandwiches, ice and gas. Internet cell service can be spotty in our area, depending on your provider, so bring your own Starlink services if you have them. We also have access to the beach below, and offer beach camping as well. Take note that the road down to the beach is steep with uneven terrain. The weather can vary quickly here, so be sure to bring multiple layers of clothing and camp gear for various types of weather, and headlamps are useful for getting around the property at night!
We hope you’ll come visit our little slice of heaven on the ocean cliffs, gaze at the stars, marvel at the sunsets, watch the harbor seals dozing on their rocks and the many bird species that inhabit our property. Our three small cabins are perfect for anyone looking to escape from the hustle of daily life, and redwood retreat is the perfect size for the whole family. This property is hosted by a three generational family who live on-site and are available for any questions and concerns as they may arise. Pets welcome.

You're right on the ocean at every site its great. We were fortunate that most sites weren't occupied due to weather. We woke up, launched kayaks for fishing. Rest of the day was spent around a campfire

We had such a lovely visit. This site had the most beautiful views of the ocean and sea life. Really wonderful host and the off leash beach spot was ideal for our four legged child. Like that they have showers - don’t forgot to bring quarters to wash off the sand. We plan to return.

This place is a true gem!!! Clean, beautiful, and very organized. I especially loved the thoughtful things about this place like a premade fire, blankets near the fireplace, flowers, wood, and a beautiful redwood tree shower with hot water. We came to Mendocino to enjoy a trail run along the coast and paddle board the river, very glad we discovered this spot. We can’t wait to return!

We had a gorgeous spot at Timber Cove. . Brenda was there when we arrived and was eager to be sure we got the best location for our van. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to medical issues, and she was very understanding to the point of refunding the night that we missed. Definitely hope to get there again in the future!

Surprisingly beautiful and peaceful spot. The owners have thought out and provided everything a camper (or glamper) could need. Just wish the county could fix the last stretch of road before the entrance.

Do you love grossly over paying for a tiny campsite? Have you ever dreamed of camping directly on an extremely noisy boat ramp? Then this place is for you.
The website was terribly misleading. We camped at the waterfall site which we paid $172 per night. The pictures made it look like it was a unique and tranquil place, but it was far from it! The first evening we were greeted by the camp host yelling down to other campers from above not to park on the beach, and when she couldn’t get their attention, she proceeded to use a bull horn vs walking down and talking to them normally. That same night we were woken up multiple times by cars driving down to the beach within a foot or so of our tent and car well after hours. Then a huge group of campers from above came up and down the ramp multiple times while shinning head lamps directly into the back of our truck where some of us were sleeping.
We were woken up the next morning by people skidding out in front of our camp on the steep ramp while dropping boats into the water @ 4:00am. The day proceeded with rude and loud people pulling boats in and out of the water literally at our campsite, as well as people BLASTING distasteful music from their cars for hours while cleaning the fish they caught as if no else was around.
If you camp at this site expect anyone and everyone to walk over the waterfall and through your site. I have camped at hundreds of campsites, and I will NEVER come here again or recommend to anyone.

We stayed at Timber Cove Campground in Bluff 10 and absolutely loved it. It’s one of the best spots there in our opinion, with incredible ocean views and a private deck.
Even though it’s near the bathrooms, it still feels quiet and private if you’re in a van or trailer. We enjoyed watching the seals, exploring the nearby walking trails, and chatting with the very friendly host, Brenda.
Our dog Cooper especially loved lounging on the deck in his bed, taking in the views with us.

As a first-time camper and a solo one at that, I wasn't sure what to expect, but this experience exceeded every hope I had.
Art was incredible from start to finish. He made me feel genuinely welcome and at ease, shared helpful knowledge about the area, and even lent me a walkie-talkie since I didn't have cell service. That small gesture made a huge difference. I felt safe and looked after the entire time.
The location itself is beautiful and full of life. Don't be surprised if you get a friendly visit from cows, deer, or turkeys wandering through your campsite, it's part of the charm.
I would absolutely camp here again, and I'd recommend it to anyone, first-timer or not.

We had a wonderful time at this campsite and cannot recommend it highly enough! It is immediately clear that the hosts have built and nurtured this property with a tremendous amount of love. Every corner of the site feels intentional, and the entire grounds are immaculately maintained.
The amenities exceeded our expectations for an outdoor stay:
Sparkling Clean Bathrooms: Truly some of the cleanest facilities we’ve encountered while camping.
Convenient Outdoor Kitchen: Having access to a functional kitchen area and a fridge made meal prep incredibly easy and kept our supplies fresh.
Beyond the setup, the host was incredibly sweet. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and shared fascinating details about potential wildlife sightings in the area, which added an extra layer of excitement to our trip.
If you are looking for a peaceful, well-cared-for spot with thoughtful touches, this is it. We had a great experience and would definitely return!

This is our second stay at Heartwood. We love it here. They’ve added some beautiful tiles to the outdoor kitchen. We love the attention to details. And being one with nature and the banana slugs! Brought our son and daughter this time. They enjoyed the outdoor shower and really loved the communal fire pit! Also, they felt very bougie with the bathrooms! It rained while we were here and appreciated the indoor hangout room. Highly recommend! Will be back!

Great view right up the hill from the campsite over all of slo. One good protected tent spot and the picnic table provided was a nice addition. They are serious about the 4WD required and I wouldn’t necessarily want to drive up there at night. Overall, had a nice time at Karina & Chris’s land!

My fiance and I realized after arriving that bluff #6 wasn't big enough for our giant glamping tent and dog, so we contacted Brenda and she was really accommodating.
We switched sites to the grassy knoll, and just paid the difference in price per night. Best decision ever! This site is an absolute gem! Gorgeous view and secluded from the rest of the camp. Everything we wanted.

The views were beautiful, the spot was fairly private which was lovely, and Noah was extremely helpful and communicative and came down and helped us get the grill going right away when we had issues with it!! Overall probably my favorite and best experience camping so far completely loved it!! Thank you Noah!
