We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the beautiful redwoods and the amenities. The property itself was lovely, but we can’t have fire also bit disappointing, cause kids want to have marshmallow and that’s part of the camping experience. Anyway if that’s fire safety reason. It’s okay i guess.
However, we felt that the host was not very accommodating. When we asked about using the grill, we were told that we had to rent it for $20 and return it before 4:00 p.m. because the next guests would be arriving. The listing mentioned a shared grill, so we assumed it was included and available for guests to use at no additional cost.
When we checked out, we also asked where we could dispose of our trash. We understood that the property does not have an on-site trash disposal area, but since we were driving back to Los Angeles, we did not want to take five or six bags of trash with us. We were simply asking for a recommendation. Instead of offering suggestions, the response felt defensive and unhelpful.
Overall, while the location and accommodations were wonderful, the lack of hospitality and welcoming attitude from the host left us disappointed.
Thanks
