C’mon in and live large in Jenny, my cozy tiny house RV in a lush garden

4. Tiny house near Muir Woods, Mt. Tam

24mi from American Canyon · 1 site · Lodging · Mill Valley, CA
Experience tiny house living in a charming, private eco-friendly tiny house RV with off-street parking, lush shared garden & sleeping loft with a cozy queen bed. Close to downtown Mill Valley, hiking/biking trails, tennis, golf, Stinson and Muir beaches, Muir Woods, Mt. Tam and the historic Sweetwater Music Hall, 20 minutes to SF. If you've been curious about tiny house RV living, here's your chance to experience it. "Jenny" (she arrived from Virginia) offers 120 square feet of cozy living space that you enter though a private lush garden. She's situated in the driveway of a quiet and safe residential block that I have called home for more than three decades. She is 8-by-13 feet, 13 feet high in the kitchen/dining area, 6-foot-9 inches high in the bathroom & living area. You will need to be able to climb a ladder to access the sleeping area, so it is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility. Also, the loft is 34 1/2 inches from the peak to the top of the mattress—if you are claustrophobic or plus-sized or both, it might feel tight. She features a full-size shower, a dry toilet, a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishes/utensils, AC/heater & a cozy sitting area with Moroccan poufs. Healthy snacks, tea, coffee, creamers, sweeteners & filtered water are provided. Jenny is a private space separate from the main house. The fenced-in garden has a dining table & chairs, 2 Adirondack chairs & a hammock & room to store bikes safely. Local trail maps provided for hiking & biking adventures. A weather-proof locked storage unit can hold luggage & other items safely to free up space in the tiny house during your stay. There is one dedicated off-street parking spot. Please note that the nightly fee includes the City of Mill Valley's 10% transient occupancy tax & 2% tourism tax, which means you'll be staying in a unique property in Southern Marin for under $100 a night. Please note this space is NOT safe for children under age 8—the ladder is steep & there is no railing on the sleeping loft area— not appropriate for your beloved furry friend as I have a dog .

The barren and rocky land is composed of red volcanic soil, ancient lava rock, and mineral-rich ash that gives this mountain a unique energy signature. We invite you to rediscover as these reviews are for basic camping and don't reflect the fully equipped glamping we have today. Welcome to our family land! As an educator, I run the camp during summers primarily. As a proudly affordable option in Calistoga, all camps are set up to be user ready and campers are responsible for leaving the sites cleaned up and “better” than you found it. If this sounds good, read on! We offer rustic nature, space for tents and smaller RVs, and two levels of cabin camping just 10 minutes outside of our hometown, Calistoga. Our land is beautiful with amazing views and lots of wildlife - which comes with your fair share of roughing it. All sites have their own compost toilet and handwashing station. For glamping experience, CORAL CABIN guests have step up access to hot shower at the Hilltop “Cafe,” which also has a grill, sink, power outlets and Wi-Fi, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, and bathtubs for an extra charge. We currently try to rent one site at a time, so all sites have private access to amenities at the Hilltop Cafe. *Coral Cabin also has the largest, flattest spot for an RV, with great views and cabin access if you wanted. This cabin is our premier ‘roughing it’ experience complete with electricity, WI-FI, TV with Roku, and an AC unit. *Married Manzanitas campsite or cabin rental is high clearance or walk-in only (no RV access) and has an ambient temperature shower at their site fed by a hose. (Hose may need to be turned on at hilltop.) Guests can also use hot shower at the hilltop. If you choose to rent this cabin, this is our really roughing it experience with no Wi-Fi or electricity, just walls, high ceiling, floor, door and bed (comfy futon). It is very peaceful. Camp has a propane fire pit and camp stove available, and table/chair seating areas. *Shaded Oak is furthest from hilltop but can accommodate small trailers (up to 15 feet…), also great sunsets and a rough trail down to our ‘fern gully’ area. Lovely site with relatively easy access to the driveway. Shower and sink access at the hilltop! …has propane fire pit, table and chairs, and water for handwashing. All sites: Pack your trash (just to the trashbin at the bottom of hill)! Add mulch to the toilets! Leave it better! We are proud to be an affordable option in Calistoga and If you can clean up after yourself (to avoid cleaning fee), we would be happy to host you!

We are back on Hipcamp after a 2 year break with improvements and amenities! 🌙 5-Acre Volcanic Mountaintop Organic Farm Sanctuary 1250 feet Above Napa Valley Wine Country and Harbin Hot Springs. A breathtaking State Park level 360 degree view atop an ancient volcanic cinder cone overlooking California’s organic "Secret Wine Country.” Located just 12 miles from Napa Valley 6 miles from Harbin Hot Springs, our land sits at the crossroads of geology, history, healing, and natural beauty. From the top of the Knoll, you can see: • Mt. St. Helena • Mayacamas Mountain Range • Harbin Mountain • The Geysers, the most active geothermal energy field on Earth Every direction opens into cinematic landscapes: sunrise in the east over Angwin, sunset in the west behind volcanic ridges, moonrise over the Harbin side, and clear night skies sparkling with thousands of stars. This is a place where stressed out San Francisco and Silicon Valley professionals come to breathe, sleep and rest deeply, reconnect, see galaxies and remember what Earth feels like. 🌋 A VOLCANIC POWERPOINT IN THE PACIFIC RING OF FIRE The Hidden Knoll sits on a dormant volcanic ridge within the Pacific Ring of Fire, which Lake County embodies. The barren and rocky land is composed of red volcanic soil, ancient lava rock, and mineral-rich ash that gives this mountain a unique energy signature. Our shared amenities improved significantly since these reviews were written two years ago, and we have hosted hundreds of people on another platform where we are one of the Guest Favorite "most loved" properties. We invite you to rediscover as these reviews are for basic camping and don't reflect the fully equipped glamping we have today. Each glamping site is privately spaced over 150 feet from the main farmhouse where the caretaker and host live and with an adjacent open parcel of 6 uninhabited acres. The guests share a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with sink, grill, seasonal pool, (May-October) outdoor bathing area ("Farmhouse Spa") with DIY cowboy tub and outdoor on demand hot shower, outdoor fireplace, and organic garden with heirloom free ranging chickens.
