This was the perfect little spot to stay for a couple nights while passing through the area. Pat is such a nice host, and this site is very cute tucked into the garden. If you like hummingbirds this is a good spot, they were everywhere! And since our stay was in August, we were serenaded to sleep by the frogs :)

The tent, bed and bath house were all great. Pat was kind enough to call me ahead of time about a nearby fire the week before my trip. The only disappointment was the amount of noise nearby. I was unlucky that a house was being built across the road which woke me at 7:00 one morning and two gas powered leaf blowers woke me up at 7:40 the other morning. There's also a guy living in a cabin about 20 yards from the tent who was playing guitar and singing from a little after 10PM until 11:30, it wasn't awful, but not what I expected or wanted to hear as I tried to fall asleep. I was touring Sonoma county on my bike, so sleep was really important to me. Pat and the facilities are great, but the site wasn't as secluded as I expected.

Lovely space! Thank you, Pat, for sharing it. There is good signage but Pat also greeted me and kindly showed me around. I stayed in the cozy tent with a comfortable bed and a beautiful garden to wake in. There is wifi and a lamp in the tent, too. I did not have time to use the shower but the bathroom was nice. I felt safe as a solo traveler. A great place to rest on a journey.

What a fun spot! We enjoyed the gardens and the peace and quiet that surrounds the site. We had a nice, quick visit with Pat who made us feel welcome and gave us the basics of the place. The location was perfect for our days of hiking in Bodega Bay and exploring Sebastopol.
My stay in Pat’s garden tent was cozy, safe and quiet. Yes, there are spiders around — it’s a garden, so that makes sense. The flowers are beautiful and the garden/tent area was extremely serene.
A few practical tips: it gets cold at night, so bring plenty of warm bedding, and since it’s close to the coast there’s fog, so pack towels or anything you want to dry inside the tent. Pat kindly lent me an extra comforter, and she has a nice new full-sized bed in there now — very comfortable, though basic. There’s a light, WiFi access, and a small table inside the tent. The bathroom is shared, with a sink, flush toilet, and shower; I never saw other tenants using it.
It’s located on the outskirts of Sebastopol, almost to Freestone — a wonderful area to explore. I’m grateful to have found a peaceful, more affordable place to stay in Sonoma County, and I very much appreciated meeting Pat, who was a warm, welcoming presence.
Kamala was a wonderful host, very helpful but not overbearing also the witty humor was the best. Accommodations were intimate and not distracting. Tent is at least 6 feet tall and there are plenty of vents and lamp. No other outlets but what I wanted to disconnect. Tent is on a raised wood platform with coverage on top so you get a bit more piece of mind from the elements.

Lovely garden and a basic but good tent and bed. The campsite felt safe and peaceful, and the bathroom had warm water! However, the bathroom was filled with spiders and cobwebs, including two black widows...So this made it very unpleasant to be in.
The host was super friendly and checked in everyday. The property was landscaped beautifully. It was very peaceful to wake up in a private garden.

Super lovely and convenient stay. The garden was full of fruit and flowers, being serenaded by the pond was really soothing, Pat and Kamala were very friendly and also mindful of our privacy and it made for a perfect spot to spend the night between a day on the coast and a day on the river.

A nice secluded area surrounded by flowing water, plants, trees, some wildlife that was not far from the city of Sebastopol and close to great hiking, the Russian River and Bodega Bay. The site had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
I had a great time at Garden Pond. It was perfect for that I needed. I wanted to sleep outside, I didn't have time to really pack a ton of camping gear, and I was looking simply to sleep there and go on day trips. So the gurgling pond and sunny space among bees and hummingbirds to do morning yoga was aok by me!
I would recommend for the kind of stay I was looking for. It is a great place to rest at night and take days trips

Lovely location, peaceful and calm. The tent, bathroom, and the beds were very well cared for and comfortable. It was close to town, but still in the countryside. When we checked in the owner came out and greeted us and showed us around the property which is beautiful. We would defiantly go back again.
The space is truly beautiful and such a wonderful getaway! My partner and I went there to see a meteor shower though unfortunately is was very unexpectedly overcast 🙃. All that said the stay at the garden was so very restful and beautiful that we still had a beautiful time regardless. Great area for antiquing. We will definitely be back!

Very happy with our stay at Kamala’s Garden Pond site. It’s a fantastic option for visiting the Sonoma Coast. We loved the location - 20 minutes from Bodega Bay, 15 minutes from Occidental, and 10 minutes from Sebastopol. We came for Bodega Bay and the coast, but were surprised by how much we loved Occidental and Sebastopol as well and appreciated having those two places near by. Kamala’s property is beautiful and located beside an organic fruit tree farm. The site was great with a nice canvas tent with two single beds, a pond with koi fish, an outdoor shower, plus an indoor bathroom and shower. Would love to go back!

Wonderful!! Kamala and Pat were very welcoming hosts and very responsive. Pat even brought an icepack when I burned my thumb on our camping stove!
The place was very private, the tent and the beds are comfortable and we even had a small fridge. We highly recommend it!

This beautiful campsite is an oasis with a lovely pond, garden, and numerous fruit trees around. The beds were comfortable and there’s a shower and flushing toilet nearby.
I would recommend this place but with a couple of caveats.
Pros: The tent was nice and the cots were more comfortable than expected. The location was amazing, just 10 mins outside of Sebastopol and 20 minutes or less from the Russian River, Occidental, Santa Rosa, wineries, etc. The gurgling pond was great to fall asleep to at night, and the garden was full of flowers.
Cons: The whole area is in a bit of disrepair and needs some TLC. There are low branches making you duck every time you walk back to where the tent is. There are blackberry brambles invading the outdoor shower (my towel kept getting caught on thorns). The shade awning from the photos no longer has a top. The bathroom door is hanging off it's hinges. Communication was slow and not enough guidance was provided about drinking water, trash disposal, etc.
Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay in that area, it's a recommend, just know that it's a bit worn down and "rustic".

Lovely site! The beds were comfortable, space was quiet and full of lovely nature sounds. Some signage was a little hard to read/find, but overall it was an excellent get away.
Loved the little redwood grove, and everything felt so peaceful.
We loved our stay at the Garden Pond Site! Close to town, but still secluded, it is the perfect location to recharge, unwind and go to sleep to the sound of the pond. The tent is clean with electricity, very spacious for 2 (very good Wifi and comfortable beds), surrounded by flowers and trees for shade. We met Kamala and Pat who were super helpful, kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
